Hamster Named Neil

There once was an old hamster named Neil
Who, when he ate too large of a meal
Would rise from the table
And say he was able
But then he’d fall asleep at the wheel

The hamster Neil loved his every meal - But grew so large he lost his appeal - He slept most of the day - Woke when food came his way - And became a no beau ideal.….. Belle

I imagine that 'he would fall asleep at the wheel' until his tires did squeal...

Now this is a fine Limerick ... especially the last line, David. Very funny and creative poetry, my friend. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Golly! I must be Neil. I simply run out of energy. It in.Ike him, I do not each much.. I thoroughly enjoyed the limerick and the story of Neil. I appreciate Limericks like this.. well crafted plus other qualities that you already know about.Like, not making fun of human anatomy. That could be done too, but in a very tasteful way.. Thank you, David Panagiota
