Life's tick list seems so important and I'm sure it actually is but the true meaningful moments tend to be when you stand still

Yes they do Dilly, and I think that’s exactly how my metaphorical hamster felt upon realisation of same, cheers David

Hamsters, according to Google, in the wild run up to 5 miles a day so that placing a wheel in a hamster cage is seen as a necessity. Not keeping hamsters in a cage in the first place would seem the priority to me. The 'Talking Heads' track "Road To Nowhere" comes to mind only because it best describes my confused and garbled comments here. :) It's almost Christmas. Cheers - Gary

Great song that Gary, and band, Probably a few interpretations here, the hamster is more metaphoric of human behaviour of going around in circles, and getting better at it, to our own consternation, indeed Christmas is upon us, another cycle of madness on the hamster wheel, but must be done nonetheless, cheers David

Greetings David, Enjoyed your Monoku immensely. I suspect, however, that your steps are more purposeful + goal centred than the hamster spinning himself to no where. Carry on! Many more hikes await us. Cheers Brian

Your imagination was sorely missed by me last week, David. The question is: How many more steps does a hamster make while spinning on a wheel, than you took last week? World Cup viewing for me today... not too hopeful they'll make it through this one. ;(

Hmmm good question Jenna! A marathon of World Cup qualifiers last week, some were like watching hamsters on the wheel lol, The US beating Iran was a real highlight, but to get past the Dutch world be a huge bonus, a bit like your kind comment, hopefully I’ll be back writing soon, cheers David
