Hamster

Hairy little rodent, Happily nibbling seeds. Hungry, he stuffs his cheeks, Hoarding food for later. Having rested all day, He now proceeds to play. Hear him now on his wheel. Kim Merryman 2/17/17

Kim, this is absolutely lovely, not keen on hamsters but like Pleiades, Roy.

Thank you, Andrea! I like to write a Pleiades to correspond with the letters of my contests to see if I can do it.

Kim: I feed the little "rodents" we call tree rats. No box to clean, no vet to call. Of course there's no little wheel to watch. :o) Thanks for sharing these moments with all of us on the soup. Keep them coming. oldbuck

I love hamsters. They are such playful little clowns and can get to be real little pets that sit on your hand. Many people don't know this but they were discovered in the 1950's and brought over here. They are Syrian Desert Mice. That's why salt any amount of salt will kill them. They already make an abundance of it in their system. Loved this. God Bless and thanks for stopping by my page. JB

Thanks for stopping and commenting Judy! I never knew that about hamsters. How interesting! I had a few growing up but they never lived long. Maybe it was the popcorn we fed them. Now I feel terrible but no one told us about the salt.

Hamsters are so cute and you capture their behavior delightfully here, Kim. Don't you wish all humans had to do was enjoy eating, playing and resting. The "wheels" of envy are turning. Lovely!

This was fun Kim. We used to have a hamster a long time ago. I had forgotten about that little guy, thanks for the memory spark.
