My Paper Boats
Let not my paper
Boats get drenched in the subtle
Droplets of dancing shower.

Let them sail over
The drinking beck, that streams down,
The thirsty gullet of sod.

Premium Member If You Insist
I ran into the room, said, "Do I smell bacon?",
but couldn't decipher the smirk Jim was making.
"Sure, if that's what you wanna call it!
Hey, why not stuff your gullet?",
and like a true American I was taken....

Just Swallowed It Hole
I just swallowed it hole
the whole
hole is gone
down the gullet
round the bend
debarked
embarked
set sail for deeper seas
in my heart
head...nostrils are in fact holes
but not the one I swallowed whole...

Premium Member A Race Car Sandwich
I'm going to eat a race car sandwich.

It will run down my gullet, hard and fast.

It will clean out my tummy, and drive past my gas.

It will clean me out, right?

I will eat a race car sandwich at the next red light....

About My Navel
A gullet of flesh choking on coarse hair
or more like a whirlpool spitting lint
and gritty, wretched pus.
The navel is barely a poetic subject,
that is unless you consider disgusting portals
to the murky inner self a philistine concept,
which many might.
Fools....

Houston, We Have a Problem
Houston Houston, we have a problem.
My wife has created a mayhem
She is stuck in the gullet
                                    It's not my wife,a mullet
She has just reached her cerebellum...

The Span
a tempest rages
in a ringing shell

sleep slopes down
into waveless depths

The mind has miles
leagues foreshadowing
the whole span of a moment
in full

A gulls gullet opens -
it speaks of sea-dreams
never remembered

a child looks out beyond
a plunging bed

to a place
where legs dangle
over old age...

LUCIFER'S gullet was as parched as hell!

He said, "Lord, some cold HOOCH, would do me well!"

      Lord said, "In thy condition,

         Smoldering in perdition,

Not a snowball's chance in the place ye dwell!"

Merrier With Vodka Than With His Rose
Steadily, the wine flows
And down a gullet goes;
Beside the bottle, tapping toes
Of Brown drowning his woes
And the brownish questions his foes
From plain mischief pose:
Every morning a repeated dose
That could ugly chapters close;
Its aroma a sport to his nose,
As his glass remains close…

The merrier with vodka than with his Rose…...

Kooky Home
Surrounded by steel walls
The place that feels like home
Hours filled with stories
The sense we speak unknown

The cans have special powers
Motivation comes and goes
Behind the bars consumables
Down the gullet it goes

Chain smoking is unavoidable
When a bottle of straight is involved
The fire keeps us toasty
Cheers! To never growing old...

Ordained
Between the warm leaving rain
and the coming of the pizza –
a beer flushes through a gurgling gullet.

It's coming...Medium Margarita,
sweet roasted tomatoes and bubbling cheese.

The evening sky breathes deeper.
Womb-warm, the pizza-satchel sings
to my drooling taste buds;
a delivery almost born,
an ordination, almost consumed
by the wait.

I pour another beer....

Warning Bell
Warning Bell

Drops of rain
No more quench thirst
Rather lumps of fire
Flow through gullet of earth

Flora and fauna looks to be
At a loss!
And so does our cultivation!
Rivers and lake prescribe poison
The only inhabitable planet appears
Destined to turn to desert

If unbridled horses of smoke
Galloped with present pace,
Money won’t buy us back
Our collective well being!...

Premium Member Dining Out
Carnivore lay in wait like, the feline among the sparrows. “Come sip my nectar, sweet syrupy elixir it’s free for the taking, a desirous sensation to lull you to sleep” sings Darlingtonia. Within ruby pitcher, tendril awaits, a cavernous throat dining on insects, perhaps a frog or tree shrew for the gullet of unassuming Cobra Lily, pitfall trap.

Seagull
A red raw gape, a crater of hunger,
the clacking tongue
a buckram spear shaken at all comers.

The gulls mouth is the gull,
its avian body
only a winged engine for that open maw,
a perfect bow for that arrowing beak
with its raucous bugle.

A gullet for a perfected greed;
a throat that yawns wide enough
for any a scavengers scream,
a call allied to the pitiless winds,
and thrashing seas....

Paradise
Here the jealous sun
stings
the eye that turns
west to Marquesas.
Don't gaze west.

And the sway of the sea
moving out of The Gulf
seduces those with memory--
those who hear
love's movement in all things
rhythmic.
Cover your ears.

Watch too for the bird
frigatidae,
black kites hovering--
they are thieves
offering a gullet of rubies,
a belly of pearl to the
unsuspecting.

They long ago gave up on paradise....

Premium Member Hot Chili Pepper Dance
These spicy banana peppers are hotter than hot.
My annoyed esophagus yells “Not! Not! Not! Not! Not! Not!”
They dance around and down my gullet from the crockpot.
Temperature there is turned up to about a thousand watt.

Some weird stranger asks me, “Is this what you brought?”
Jalapeno and banana peppers tangled in a dancing knot?
My overeager tummy is yelping and screaming a lot.
Acid reflex at my age is almost nightly fought!...

Premium Member Let Me Enjoy My Food
Let me enjoy my food said the frog.
A fly was squirming at the end of his tongue.
The mouth opened, and the fly began to fly
From the stomach, up the esophagus and back.
Up and down all around, from side to side.
I love this said the bullfrog, my lunch is so tingly.
He sat back and enjoyed himself
Fell asleep and began to snore.
The frantic fly flew up the gullet to freedom
Moral of this tale Do not go to sleep right after eating your fly...

Past Present Future
all litters as i walk the dunes
and so i cry to sunlight,
the tree hides it in its roots,
to spring up its stem,
the settled sand of the hour glass.

i thought a while about the fish
in the sea,
zig zad,circles,
why do we walk in a file?
if only we could wipe those litters:
arrows that shatter the heart.

i draw a picture
cobs after lion,boys after man,
(the fields still greener ahead)
and i pinpoint a finish,
in the wide gullet of mother earth....

Dangerous Tree
It grows tall and large
leaves are rich but bitter
no gullet in can pass through
fruits are juicy and attractive
but do not grow into maturity
decades no ripe fruit emerged

Birds cannot feed on, sap nectar
nests they cannot build on
humans cannot shelter under

Microbes fall off dead
only underground rodents get succor

But when hurricane came one day
it struck it a blow, destroyed even roots
only rodents opened mouth to mourn
in disgrace dangerous tree vanished...
