A grandmother loves grandsons:

in the womb, at childbirth

and the times sad or with mirth

by the soul without girth

in the love, with no dearth

Spring Pogo Stick Tricks
There once was a boy with two sticks.
He bounced on both pogos; planned tricks.
One day he fell down
He laughed like a clown.
Then, sprung off; one foot on each stick.

My Three Grandsons
I know three little boys,
who would like some toys,
this year grandpa is to poor
I would like to buy you more,
but saying I love you all,
Tyler, Nick, and Parker,
I know your all getting tall,
wish I could be there,
growing up to fast,
your childhood won't last,
this poem is my gift to you,
it was the only thing I could do.

Im Sorry
Im sorry that im gone,
And nothing is the same,
Im sorry all your left with,
Is a grave that bears my name.

Im sorry the road claimed my life,
And claimed me from you too,
Im sorry i cant be there for you,
And help you make it through.

Im sorry dreams of my passing,
Keep you from your sleep,
Im sorry i missed out on my grandsons,
But their memories I will keep....

.
                                         My love for mankind
                                     Is burning fire when alone
                                       Then I leave my home...

Premium Member Its All About Cats
IT’S ALL ABOUT CATS Cats with claws stalk, sitting at the table. Cats purr and walk — ready and able. “Meow...more milk please,” jumping on each chair. With wry smiles they tease. With grand eyes they stare. 1/30/2018 Contest: A Funny Poem For A Seven Year Old *My two grandsons love cats. Especially the oldest, who I think would become one, if it were possible!

                    "Mom, this is your granddaughter"
                      "Here, ...meet your grandsons"

Empty Mother's Day
Cry empty heart; a lonely tear
that I have always shed.
Through wake of poetry I write
and pray this yearning's fed.

My desire above all
is a reachable impasse.
a hunger starved in childhood gone
and memories I passed.

I wonder if she calls my name,
the daughter - one of four.
The one who brought grandsons to life
and still her eyes ignore.

It's on this day that my heart aches
and one I labor of.
Although a woman I've become,
I crave my mother's love....

Grandpas Chair..
Grandpas Chair..

This is the place where I go to get away.
No kids to yell at, silence I hear, I can think strait.
Sometimes my grandsons comes and then wakes me up.
Grandma worry’s about me falling asleep in the heat.
So I have to hide my liquor bottles and such.

Everybody needs a place to rest.
That old dusty chair has been my best.
Sometimes I just need a place to hide.
My grandkids understand old grandpas chair.
His place of silence, his chair of pride....

Premium Member Christmas With Scrooge
On my street there are many MacMansions
Full of stuff but not many grandsons
No pets with dirty feet
Just black balance sheets
And morality they have abandoned.

These nouveau riche Ole moneyed Scrooges
Have dinner talk of subterfuges
The poor they abhor
Not a tear on that score
No mangers please, they’ll take cruises.

No room in the Inn “Oh my what a sin”
Said the bankers foreclosing within
No bed for the King?
The streets just the thing
Perhaps the liberals will let Him in?...

Sipping Highlander Grogg to the dregs of the press.
Life has slowed in China cup, the Christmas recess
is satisfying as gifts are unwrapped, surprises revealed.
   Headphones
      antique tapestry
         gift cards,
            games appealed,

and many more things, but it’s the smiles
coming from the groggy lips of the miles
it took to spend the loving length of holiday
   with family
      its cache
         gifts of this lifetime
            time with grandsons does pay.
