The Dream Wish

`
                               I introduce them...

                    "Mom, this is your granddaughter"
                      "Here, ...meet your grandsons"

                         We sit under jaded trees
and she tells me she is proud
                                          ~

Smiles as I read this, Carrie-- what a wonderful dream for your mom to meet your children-- I've often wondered about that too, of my brother meeting his nephews & nieces-- Super congrats on your 1st place win for this very moving write :) hugs :)

Have you lost your mother, Carrie? I hope she did have a chance to meet her grandchildren. A very compelling tanka and I wish you success in Michael's contest. Love, Carolyn
