What if I say yes to Federal SARS;
Will they ever stop seizing big cars,
Or stop killing the innocents?
Labelling it as accidents;
While flexing and dancing to guitars...

Young boys
Looking in the mirror
Combing hair with wet comb
Practicing alluring smile
Flexing developing biceps
Steel yet to be hardened
Dreaming with sweaty palms
Hoping she says yes
Inspired by Monterey's poem Hope

unease
unfamiliar
disruptive crowded rooms
apprehension of the unknown
heightened awareness, chest tight, heart pounding
quick shallow breaths, muscles flexing
nerves alert, thoughts racing
change of routine
unease

Holding
The pieces of
Fragmentation
In my hands
Listening
To the pulse
Of your being
Rigid
Stance
Flexing
My fingertips
Controlling
The anger
That threatens
To kill me
Beautiful land
Full
Enough
Just enough
Of enough
Full coloured
Patturns
Spinning
Life

please
will you
join
me in
aerobics
we will
have
a blast
out-of-breath
flexing muscles
we never
knew we
had
bring some
Blue Emu
it helps
my
aching
back

Verse
We are the wrestlers,
And it's a fine day to wrestle,
It's fine today and fine tomorrow,
It's o so fine, when we wrestle sorrow,
We are the wrestlers,
Worshipful hands and flexing feet,
I need to earn, so this sorrow I must meet,
Run and jump, grip and throw
Next move?
... I do not know

I go to the gym most every day,
my fountain pen in hand
My curls and dips move line to line,
I press as words expand
My repetition sorely felt,
more weight I need command
And through these veins my prose will flow,
—verse flexing on demand

Climbing the ladder
Surface to ignight
Space circling the planets
Speaking in the division
Count to 1 to 5
Spiritual lifting
Circling a dimension of redness.
Taking clothes to the new world
Contributing/Donating my clock
Climbing the ladder to this
Shifting, reflexing, flexing
The scenic rainport
Falling

Man the tall mountain,
Protector to pose,
Flexing of granite,
Willed flesh to propose.
Woman the valley,
Soft curving flow,
Stretching of lushness,
Receiving to grow.
Leave them as different,
Equal or bold,
Embracing of matter,
Completing the mold.

assiduous
spiritual voices
whisper veracious words:
faith tested
is faith strengthen…
firmed like tested muscles…
flexing mind
expands and joyful spirits
dance as mental quills
ink blood of truths…
hemorrhaging
melodic metered sounds
flowing freely from
the sable cerebral womb:
delivering new hope
sucking leaking nipples
of undying faith…

When the skydiver leapt from his plane
What he saw below to his great disdain
Were 'gators flexing their jaws
Expecting grub for their maws
To pursue this sport he must be insane

Blatant display
of weaponry
on Republic day,
perhaps tradition,
invoking pride
and patriotism
but somehow I feel,
such muscle flexing,
crass and vulgar,
is best avoided
by all regimes
who so flaunt
aggressive intent
but there’s a vote bank,
that looks forward
to fanning fires
and so the monarch
goes with the script
which is proven
to keep him
and his cronies
in power.

Verse
Near the belching
condensate tanks
off the interchange,
slinks a mammal
with abnormal need
to find a blind
with water to drink
and flapping fish to eat
instead of concrete.
He sheds a scowl
under the amber glow
of buzzing sodium lamps
until veins gather force
like throbbing tributaries
that course from a source
pure in flexing purpose;
despite how we deprive
he drives to survive.

I didn't know that all this could happen
He thought that he was a simp
But instead he was a noow
He used to think that he was flexing yet cheugy
This became salty when I got sus
When his fam told me of his dirty plans
I had to ghost so as to calm myself
Since he was acting so crashy
Getting off was the best idea though
I was hurt when I knew no cap
Later realized that shipping wasn't Gucci

Another
black man murdered
by cops
playing the role
of judge and jury.
The powder
keg they’ve
ignited
is set
to explode.
But bigots
flexing their muscles
receive the protection
of
corrupt lawmakers.

Verse
Breathing deeply relaxing the chaotic mind and soul
Stretching to mother nature besotted in the spiritual energies
Mind empty focussing to the enchantment of tradition
Folding bodies flexing into beautiful mind taking positions
Free from anger mind resting from all those everyday thoughts
Meditation unexplainable as one becomes so free
Ending so refreshed feeling the pureness again in me

Bowling is what I do during Spring time
And swim hundred feet touching the sea floor
Flexing like a gymnast, swing overtime
Holding my breath, a bowler underscore
Bowls of clear blue waters I play for more
Bowling pins like needles for life I strike
Bowling and swimming, sports for life I like
Don't swim too deep without an oxygen tank...
Life is precious to keep as waters know no rank!

Schools of fish in this lake seem to hold a fest
Fishes of all sorts swim in an august zest
Shining in spotted, striped, silver, and gold vest
Schools of fish in this lake seem to hold a fest
Carp, cod, hake, jack, shad, and sole in blest best jest
Flexing and gliding through the calm water crest
Schools of fish in this lake seem to hold a fest
Fishes of all sorts swim in an august zest

The meeting of the minds
It was on the cards
The rebirth of humanity
It was on the tip of the ice breaker
Sometimes you have to swallow a lemon
In order to make a lemonade
Sometimes you have to mix sour and sweet
In order to emphasis the taste buds
Waking up is the beginning
Getting up is sweeter than honey
Proceeding towards is flexing the muscle
Holding it, is indeed an honour that should be embraced

Readying the cannon for war
Barricading the mind for battle
Protecting thy neck from the noose
Flexing my arms to brace for impact
Walking through trial’s gate
Veering in the distance my eyes drop
Chattering teeth seize and sleep
No one is here to challenge my soul
A sigh of relief and cold calm
For today the battle is postponed
However another day it shall be
A trial for the ages, I shall get my rest

hours fracture by
spigots clog every pore
the ideatron flickers on off
on off, on off, on off
flexing muscles and flipping through
maladjusted soft spots in the lightly lit dayroom
sometimes i soak in the inane and wonder
am i really inching closer to something worthwhile
or am i ever falling, flailing arms into the ruin of insanity?
but there's something inside me
it must mean something
it must mean i'm losing it

Juxtaposed with emerald green shamrock
and flowers of yellow and cinnabar.
In my garden sits a red granite rock,
set with flecks of quartz, mica, and feldspar.
Butterflies are attracted to its salts,
and once, I spied an indigo-blue one.
A masterpiece, Mother Nature exalts;
this living sapphire shimmered in the sun.
Adorn with gold filigree fit for kings,
it stood poised on that rock, flexing its wings.

Rhyme
She reposed in the greenest shadows, her ankles fat
Flexing her well-trained muscles like an enormous cat
We felt ourselves being watched but did not know
It was spring elf woman, until her eyes began to grow
A tiger! A puma! A lion! We were guessing like mad.
If it had been one of them we would have been rather glad.
Spring elf woman has a reputation of being incredibly mean.
So far things were okay, because she has remained quite unseen.
