Butterfly On a Rock
and post notes and photos about your poem like Emile Pinet.
In my garden sits a red granite rock
rife with flecks of quartz mica and feldspar.
It's surrounded by emerald shamrock
and flowers of yellow and cinnabar.
Butterflies are lured to its surface salts
and once, I spied an indigo blue one.
A living masterpiece nature exalts
a silken sapphire polished by the sun.
Adorned with gold filigree fit for kings
it was poised on the rock spreading its wings
