Feral instinct
Blatant display
of weaponry
on Republic day,
perhaps tradition,
invoking pride
and patriotism
but somehow I feel,
such muscle flexing,
crass and vulgar,
is best avoided
by all regimes
who so flaunt
aggressive intent
but there’s a vote bank,
that looks forward
to fanning fires
and so the monarch
goes with the script
which is proven
to keep him
and his cronies
in power.
