The Firecracker
The man lit a firecracker then ran
Not knowing it was still in his hand
Suddenly, there was a loud ka-boom
He knew, he was doom
Walk out, looking like the boogeyman...

Why
why
Are grey elephants heavy.
Did a firecracker go damp.
Chickens will run towards the rain in winter4.
And winter5 is almost on us.
Stay near the tall ships.
Never take medicine on Tuesday

Happiest She's Ever Been
Cracking up like a firecracker,
The sparkling of her smile, bright as a sparkler.
Glowing of her neverending glee, as though she's a star.
As they gaze at the shining in her eyes, they realize,
It's the happiest she's ever been, since what seemed forever....

Premium Member A Bang Up Sunset
Gold birds at sunset
gliding ribbons of color
crowned by falling night
Far off visions in blooms lure
Beneath red firecracker stars

Cream moon's following
with determined velvet light
aiding dusky plight
Cherry red before they bed
velvet green and goodbye sun...

Premium Member Cracker of a Poem
There was a great poet called Punmaker
Used poetry contest as amuser
With the pen my muse sat down
Wrote a pun poem on clown
Made her burst in laughter like firecracker.

Premium Member Firecracker Plant-The Sound of Color
Millions of magnificent miniature marvels,
shoulder to shoulder, sharing your showy shrub
as rich red rumblings rise from your racy petals.
Like sounds of cymbals you slice the still air,
shimmering in your lace of chiffon, shouting to the world!
Boom! Bang!
Colors bursting in brilliant blasts of

silence...

Firework
At midnight I lost my home
The firecracker did no good
From my sound sleep I awoke
To see fire in the wood

The firecracker did no good
My nest and eggs I have lost
To see fire in the wood
All I have left is a scar

My nest and eggs I have lost
From my sound sleep I awoke
All I have left is a scar
At midnight I lost my home...

First New Years Kiss
No Mistletoe needed above
only lips attached with love,
a fresh start to a New Year
this, a tantalizing cheer.

Firecracker eyes that spark,
a delicious taste of wonder,
capturing a midnight hark
with sounds of thunder.

This, our first kiss of a New Year
Lighting up a ball dropping,
counting the seconds before,
our New Years Eve,

Kiss....

Premium Member Lemon Drop Licks
Suspended like a lemon drop
 on the tongue of night
the moon melts
on the clarinets keys

Haze, ever present,
 on this humid September eve,
blurs the edges of reality
calling forth images
	of sweet beginning
the howls of wolf..
as the sax soars
and the warmth of blood.

A firecracker night
sparks
	spinning in lamplight
basking in blue velvet
humming with the whir
of cicada's
with the brushes
on top hats....

Now name a star on the cosmic highway
to remind the Universe you were here;
In dark corners your essence will linger
illuminating a brand new display;
In awe of your lustrous spirit at play,
you always were a little firecracker;
Now name a star,
A fresh reputation when you decay
your ideas will burn even brighter;
When that spin starts to go a bit faster
this is the way you are able to stay;
Now name a star....

Ignite Your Inner Fire
Live life like a firecracker today
Knowing the right time and day
To burst into the air and light the sky
Ignite your inner fire everywhere
Share your smile to others around
Enjoy the music and sound
Of happiness in every breathe you take
Digest the world you choose to intake
Appreciate who you are every second
While knowing each day is a present
Unwrap your gift with a fresh start
Focus on where you aim the dart....

A Place To Call Home
I'm a firecracker
A brazen storm
I'll come in like a whirlwind
And flip your world upside down
I am the sun
And the moon
Both day and night
I am hot as fire
But can be cold as ice
I am everything all at once

My heart, a restless wanderer
Looking for a place to call home
A place it can be free
To be who I am
To love with unbridled passion
A place to drown in desires
To fly free in the wind
A place where our love
Can weather all my storms...

Hot like a Firecracker, Red Dances her Truth
Red is a savage,
Takes no prisoners
For she wants for nothing

Red is complete
Onto herself
A pirate-faerie-gypsy-queen

Red is hot like a firecracker
Red dances her truth
Stopping at stop signs
Only to say "hi" to her cousins

Red is a fire hydrant
Waiting impatiently
Tapping her foot, setting her own fires

Red is not to be scoffed.
Red is sassy, sexy, sensual
Red is pizza, red is spaghetti. Stay out of her way!...

Firecracker
Small of frame, cute as a button, and brave as a miniature tin soldier.
In comparing characteristics between you and your sisters, throughout the years
and your experiences, you were or became the bolder.
Facing bully trashed mouthed giants shocked all of us.
For, there was no violence.
Including the bully himself was shocked into silence.
Stature like a tater tot and confidence piled high like a pancake stacker.
I loved you great auntie, my adorable and gutsy firecracker....

A Precios Gift
She was born on a hot summer mornin', in July. Almost a firecracker for she was
born on the 6th. Tiny and tender, a gift only God could grant.
Clinging to mommy is her way of saying, I Love You! Watching her grow, a
pleasure mommy will always treasure. Mommy's biggest strength and mommy's
biggest weakness, a Love never felt before, a love never so deep. One that will
never fade, but will only grow through the years. Thank You God for granting
mommy A Precios Gift to raise and Love....
