The Mets Or the Met
Should one watch sports or
    go see great art
Why not do both ?
After all Carl Sandburg wrote a poem
   about baseball
   and he was an artist
No. I don't draw as well
    as the old masters
but I do enjoy doodling
There is no joy in Mudville
   if you receive rejections letters!...

Dog Dreams
Down here on the skin of the planet E
Desperately clutching at sanity
Despondent to thinking of never
Deciding to go on forever
Dreading each day spent alone
Doing the best that I can
Defiantly
Drinking the
Dregs of my coffee
Drying my cheek with my hand
Doodling
Dribbling on
Dancing with
Donald the
Doofus...

Premium Member Polly Wally Doodles: Written With Jan Allison
Polly Wally waddles all day
She's running for office in LA
She wastes time doodling
Enjoys a daily noodling
But she never earns her pay

Polly Wally was once quite a looker
before politics she worked as a hooker
now she dresses with power
doesn't get paid by the hour
now she's aging no man would book her...

most of the class is texting or doodling
some watch a video on muted phones

a few heads come up
some ask others what she said

Poet Writing On White Sheet
On the white sheet,
        I love writing...
        On occasion I'm rude
        when I hit her with
        atrocities...
        simply i'm crazy
        cursing nonsense...
        But in general I'm loving
        when I draw tenderness,
        I am playful, doodling it,
        touching her with bulk
        horny and sweetness... !...

Doodling
There's something about doodling;
from an eye's perspective it looks like nonsense-
a long line coiling itself in an irrational manner,
either in bold or light.
Taking a closer look at the guess work art,
we feel the emotions of the artist
who did the work - his happiness, excitement,
anger, frustration.....they all appear somewhere
in the pattern created on paper......

Premium Member Sermon of the Seagulls
Meditating to release chains from the mind
To glean seeds of peace from the gritty grind
Popping palms of silly pills, called blue tranquility
But the side effects were chilly waves of instability
On a magician's couch, chatting with a flock of PHDS
For $$$ down, I found they had less feathers than me,
Searching gilded pages for the harps of peace and truth
Ended up cock-a-doodling in a broken-down chicken coup...

Doodles
My notebooks were once filled with doodles
Adorning the margins; in class
I doodled when bored at a lecture,
When minutes took hours to pass.

My squiggles and boxes repeated;
They weren’t worth even a glance
But, along with my painstaking scribble,
They filled up the paper’s expanse.

Years later, at times when I’m Zooming,
My thoughts from the topic removed,
I find myself doodling idly,
Those squiggles and such not improved....

To Feel the Sunshine On My Face
Where is your quiet place
When the days too much to face
Crunching down on autumn leaves
Walking beside a blue sea breeze

Is there some where built up in your head
Or your pottering around a garden shed
Doodling patturns in the sand
Or digging up potatoes from the land

I'm going off to my quiet place
To feel the sunshine on my face
Don't bother calling
I'll be leaving it in my car
Now bog off for a while, I won't be far....

Premium Member Table For One
mellow just chilling
sitting back
listening to
coffeehouse tunes
sipping a tall americano
at a table for one
set by the window
in the far corner
winding down
doodling pen in hand
jotting rough lines
of a poem on a napkin
pulling it together
precious me time
hiding out where
i can lose myself
and not be found

The Doodle Mandela
Its beginnings is a desire to shut down,
Coupled with fate's pen in hand.
The whirling hungers for focuse
Just as the pen must have thick ink.
One black pass for a purpose.
The theme differs with each encounter.
But lately, reminds me of Iron Ivy.
Connecting Chaos swirling A web.
Each line has a connection to the whole.
Each ending with a sharp point.
Doodling end as time dictates.
Quickly I gaze where I started.
Seeing the end.
I throw it away....
