A Mundane Pain
Much Trump business is both mundane and plain;
Has hair that becomes a big mess while in rain;
Up people he riles;
T for Trouble dials;
Common sense lacks any not having a grain.

Tapers
It went through me
the hot day;
vaulting back.
at night.
To hustle the poetry things.

Weary of the luminous
dials. I want to
think in dark.

*

The bookcase was empty.
Croaking words
had departed for
greener pastures.

Hold on.
I am coming to
defuse the grenades.

This Is My Prayer
Hail, citizens of Earth,
Here is a morning verse,
Good morning, let's all bless,
Whatever happens, do not stress,
We woke up, now smile!
Let's put smiles on our dials!
Let's build a bridge of hands,
Reaching out across the lands,
Good morning, world,
From this old bag girl,
Good morning, let's all bless,
Whatever happens, do not stress!...

Love's the Time Keeper
Use your love wisely or
it'll shrink to a tiny lump around
the throat.
Cherish,
be grateful,
lift and
be lifted.
Love's the time keeper,
keeps it hollow, immune
from its velocity,
even in your dwindling days,
keeps no giant clock at your bedside.
Love dials a different time zone,
immortality.
Love infinitely and with no questions, as if
the fountain of youth never dries!...

400 Miles
i have walked, 400 miles, ive been through the desert, and through the forest of smiles, im walking so light, but im cracking the tiles, ive read all the books, and ive been through the files. the sound stays the same, but im turning the dials, just finish my case, im so sick of these trials, ive been in the stores, and seen all the styles, if i have to ill try, every one of these isles....

Premium Member Just Put It In the Crockpot
Just put it into a crockpot
It will turn into something
A pie or a crescent roll maybe.
Recipes are passé

Just throw stuff in.
Ketchup? Sure. Apple juice? Why not?
What kind of meat is that? Okay.
It could become a stew or a lamb chop or something

Anyone can cook and bake.
Just throw it in there. Set the dials.
Oh, you do not know how?
Well let me find someone who does.

Imagine That
Imagine tying bed-springs
   To your feet
And bouncing up and down the street

Imagine fixing a kite
   to your back
and flying up for a cloudy snack

imagine building a rocket ship
full of dials and lights that blip
roaring up into the winking sky

imagine having a mom and dad
to kiss the good and punch the bad
     and lullabying a dreamy head
     to sleep

imagine that…...

So this is death again;
    he comes around too often
    of late by far!
Disturbing our positioning,
    meddling with the dials,
    blotting out our brightest star.
How will we find our way?
    hands fumble along a wall,
looking for an exit or a light,
While behind him, shedding life
like a pair of wrinkled stockings,
    she stands tall,
Her face, her smile, her eyes,
    Ella in her radiance....

Premium Member Way Out On the Lake
Walking way out on the lake
  atop a cement-block pier
Waves lap at its sturdy girders
fish swim up to the surface, so near

Tiny specks below the horizon
boats sail near a shore far away
The water looks cold and foreboding
diminished light at the end of the day

Fresh winds spring up, the sun dials down
my jacket's pulled tight next my frame
A sliver of a pale moon rises
Will tomorrow be just the same...

We set the dials
The men in white
To send our agent
To the light

Switches click
Red glowing lamps
And needles swing
To show the amps

The clock it winds
As time descends
From present day
To make amends

A tweak to fate
A gentle nudge
When current outcomes
Fail to budge

To set things straight
To fix the error
And save the heart
From night-time terror

If only
There could be a way
Reversing time
To save the day...

Premium Member Laying a Soldier To Rest
Sagely silent woman half smiles
Man blathers on and on and on
Abject grief traveled many miles
Death has come to their precious son

Solemn church has six empty aisles
This brave soldier has long been gone
Sagely silent woman half smiles
Man blathers on and on and on

Dressed up child looks at dull gray tiles
Wishing she could blink and be gone
Outside window a gentle fawn
A teen's cell phone now butt dials
Sagely silent woman half smiles...

A Screened-In Porch
The thunder booms; the rain, it pours.
We're half inside and half outdoors.
A screened-in porch brings Nature close
But not enough to overdose.

And so we sit and mix our tiles*
As Nature ratchets up the dials.
We gaze up at the stormy sky
And dripping trees, while we stay dry.

At last it ebbs as we play on
Until the downpour's up and gone.
How cool to watch such changing scenes
Behind the shelter of the screens.

Premium Member Rumor of Broken Time Keeper
At first we heard a timekeeper was broken
But how do you break a person?
Or was a timekeeper something else in this world?
I looked around for evidence of time.
I found no clocks, watches or sundials.

This is a strange planet, I admitted to my captain.
Maybe because all of the time dials have been stolen or broken.
That would explain the lack of structure.
People were running amok, as if they did not know whether to come or go.
Broken timekeepers are no joke....

My Big Bang Theory - Nighttime Musing
Envy devoured me as I witness the wind,
Caressing her milky complexion,
Gently blowing the hair off those defined rosy skin,
Revealing Stargates into Heaven,

Within the depths, finding warmth pouts and sultry smiles,
The smell of home flooded my memories,
Every touch and movements pausing the dials,
A stellar conquest of sublime mysteries.

Into being, I submerged in an infinite darkness,
An explosion illuminating the void, creating my Universe.

Reinvented
You can't shake this, bend or break this.
Write these endings, life's contention.
Breaks my spirit and make's me fear it.
Spinning dials, my lifes on trial.

Finding confidence, feeding ignorance.
Find the reason. for your treasons
life it seems to be ,tragic apathy.
Its my own believing, is this my own demon?

Fearing things around , like I'm trapped and bound .
Give myself the slip, broken by razor whips.
Open my eyes, hiding inner lies.
Awaken my soul, buried in a hole....
