Suits You
This

Alien extension
Acquired tragically

Is rejected unconsciously
As minute defences
Wage war mercilessly

Vulnerable as combat rages
Transformed while I'm dead
Reborn with us United
Are you my friend?...

Melancholy
Why this melancholy that pierces my defences, that holds me
That invades this gentle heart, leaving its mark, a lasting legacy?
Will I ever fully understand this broken, flawed nature holding me
Persuading me, that I need it’s comforting, such a tragic fallacy.

Terror Card
what's that?
U.S.A Terrorist Express Card
i use it when ever i might feel threatened
it gives me the right to arrest, protest
lean, screen, block, stop, kill bill,
build fences, use defences
spy and cry, bug and shove
lie and steal, and apologies
for all mistakes

Your touch melted the ice,
 around my cold heart.

Your kiss awakened a
passion that I didn't know
was there.

Your words of love tore
down all my defences.

Your friendship made all
my dreams come true.

Because having you as
my friend first, is what
sealed our union.

The Geometry of a Love Gone Wrong
Drawing lines between shapes of grief
Going in circles, awaiting the lietmotif
Now just a side of a triangular run.
With defences up like the Pentagon.

Then finally looking Love square in the face
While Hope's line slopes down in disgrace
Calculating a Geometry too disjoint
For Love to have a basic point....

You
incinerated me
embracing me like
the inferno of Hades
burning away
my walls
my defences

See my need
within
the depths of my eye
feel my longing
as my body quivers
taste my love
with each fiery kiss

Hear me
cry out to you
in silent pleading
let me not
be consumed
In the smoldering ashes
of apathy...

Terra Incognita
I do not know what lies
           beyond that inner boundary
I have never dared venture there

a tender place
kept carefully guarded
lest l breach its defences

I think a wound from the past lies there
but I am afraid to look

Pain
Conflicting thoughts in my head,
None escape; left unsaid.
It rips through my organs,
Like tree roots under tarmac,
It's anchored down deep,
forcing cracks on the surface.

Those opportunistic storms,
Further weaken defences,
Cracks widen, highways crumble,
From the core, I implode.
Conflicting thoughts in my head
and more tears still to shed....

To Winifred:
Wild and beautiful flower
I shudder as the thorns
Numb my veins. I cower;
I fear as I attempt to lock horns
For your beauty
Radiates at a pace
Eternal beings of the Celestial City
Drool over. Your face
Uncovered with words
Guiding me in life’s race
Over life’s pointy swords
Reality check: your offences Jet through my defences
Immobilizing my senses...

WHISPERING WINDS

Whispering winds, I hear them call
Rustling leaves heed to my senses
Go quick, before the cold night fall
Whispering winds, I hear them call
As listen not to the animals’ wrawl
Their ploy to lessen your defences
Whispering winds, I hear them call
Rustling leaves heed to my senses

What Should I Write Next?
Sulphurous moments, shadowed
beneath natures natural defences
Tenderly swaying, the coconut palm
leaves transmute devising my fan blades
Refrigerant elegance appreciated greatly
chilled iridescent cocktails assuage
My acousma heightens as the waves lash
such a lovely sound, to woolgather

Greatest Escape
The greatest escape I’ve ever known-
When the tip of my pen touches the paper
Or when my fingers move swiftly across the keyboard
Thoughts; flowing like a waterfall
Emotions adding weight to the pages
Lowering all defences as they leave my body
Deafened by the silence left in my head
And in these moments
No one owns me but myself
For in my silence
I am buoyed by my writing...

Cyber Warfare
Cyber Warfare is the new battlefield
Where anything connected to the Internet
Can be hacked into doing what you want
From interfering with companies or countries

To make blackmail easy for cyber thieves
And disarming country's defences in their computers
With Israel being the country with the best hackers
Industrial systems are vulnerable to these attack.

You Lied
you lied.
said you loved me.
you would never turn on me.
you would always be here.
you lied.
gained my trust.
made me lower my guard.
my defences.
my defences were down.
tore down my wall.
brick by brick.
tore down my wall.
you lied.
made me care.
i fell for you.
i loved you.
gave you all.
you lied.
killed my trust.
my trust in you.
heart broken.
you lied.
you lied.
you lied....

Feeling
there is a warmer feeling
To end a happy day
a heightened edge of satisfaction
Whetted honed to slice to peeling
dulled down senses self defences
like a pair of scratchy lenses
helping insights to unfold
and enfold the mess and clutter
That we mutter as we utter
To better this our day of action
gaining traction. As reaction
to feeling kindly certain
It is good to end this way
Sets in...

In the Trenches, In Love
In the Trenches, In Love

Digging deep, entrenched,
barricaded against love's bayonet,
securing the heart,
impregnable, shielded,

but,
love breaches the lines.

The defences crumble,
walls of steel melt away,
shields are lowered,
minefields disappear,

as,
love overwhelms the night.

Alone now, desolate, exposed,
my embattled heart lies injured,
the fatal blow being dealt by you,

in the trenches, in love....

Peace Before We Die
if we put aside our differences and pride
their interference with our stride
take down our defences which divide
open up eyes hearts and minds wide

and realise we'd unite on the same side
the day the aliens arrive
not through love that we've denied
but rather instinct to survive

and for one minute question why
on our palladium under the sky
we do not even begin to try
to find world peace before we die...

Robbers
The Robbers stole my life from me
one filled with pain and hate
broke down my defences
changed the hand of fate
with love and understanding
and never end of faith
never asked a question
just made me feel safe
when i tried to pull away
ashamed of what i was
just held me all the tighter
and i knew i wasn't judged
now in the light i see
the chains that bound were lies
and my Robbers truely
Angel in disguised...

Someone I Once Knew
She had a smile, I remember.

A slightly crooked,

honest smile,

that showed me she was someone I could love.

So when her eyes in bed held mine,

all of my deceits became impossibilities,

and all of my defences, but transparent flimsies.

What was it she exposed?

And from where within me?

Was that a fragment of my soul

she held before me?

I never knew I had one.

But she knew

all of me....
