An August month again returns
To briskly Summer by,
With days of sun
Wind fully blown
As fleeting clouds
     dance their feathery display.

A Stroll

Continuously evolving while my age is dissolving in a game I play so well
Briskly walking while my souls are corroding in shoes I've got to sell.

April Magic

When April’s wind briskly blew
Beth’s spring skirt billowed and flew:
Men on the street
Got an eye-treat
‘Cause panties, chose Beth to eschew.

Passenger

I got here somewhat quickly,
             briskly here I lived...
             I don't even realize if I'm
             still here... or slipped away

Query

Short story:
Why worry?

Just query:
Quite bluntly.

Word briskly:
Weird story.

And maybe:
Feel mildly.

Graduation

She strolled briskly toward center stage, self-confident, charismatic. She nodded at supporters, teachers, friends, family, who rejoiced in her graduation, overjoyed, thankful, awed.

Burned Better Half

Whenever
I inhale aroma of fresh caffeine
                                   briskly
I go breathless ,an act ,expecting
you to walk out from the chinese coffin!

Rainy Days

The morning of another day
It looks just like the last
Rain's beating on my window
The sky's dark and overcast

The wind is blowing briskly
And there's thunder up ahead
Lightning's cracking all around
So I'm staying in my bed

Helpless An

A million feet stomp,
A million shoes, a million suits
Her petals have flattened into the ground
It’s rush hour
A woman stops briskly,
A happy change for her
Bending slowly with the stampede around her
She picks up the flower and brings her home.

Cry No More

Cry no more, dear mockingbird
Please cry no more for me
For I must leave you, dear mockingbird
And briskly take my leave
I know you will miss me, dear mockingbird
And I will miss you too
But shed no tears, dear mockingbird
For I have a home beside you.

The Piano

profuse cobwebs briskly brushed away
the piano rediscovered

tentatively touching ivory
ten fingers revive euphony

old memories begin to swell
Papa’s best-loved tune fills up the room

Don'T Linger

Walk

briskly

through the dark.

For ignorance

forbids fearful feet from facing forward.

Forward into the light of acceptance

— the only true

cure for such

blinded

eyes.

Untitled

Tell me dear and tell me true
Why I have these dreams of you,
You are there within my sight,
Sometime left, sometimes right.
Then in the morning when I wake
And the cold briskly shake,
The ground outstretched and wet with dew,
I'm happy from the thoughts of you.

Apple Harvest Red

Blest harvest time's here
orchard trees, covered in red
Candy apple sun
A cool wind goes by briskly
and soon stars are in my eyes

Wild fruit, ripe and sweet
falls in shadows of summer
crisp, shiny and rich
and when the sun sets so red
traces of the hue linger

New Age Dynamics 2

NEW AGE DYNAMICS 2

New possibilities call
To brave old souls
To unhinge odd madness
Forge time and space
With good intentions
Surge ahead briskly
With bold visions
As firm attention
Empowers stern action

Afternoon With Squirrels and Doves

flight, good afternoon
a mantled, wild squirrels skips
betrayed by the doves

flipping and flopping
his tail waving so briskly
jumps from branch to branch

dropping nuts on doves
as they so do try to leave
fly away dove fly

Snow Feel of It Thrills Me

the snow is lightly falling
it's sleekness like silk sheets
draping around a warm body
it's taste is refreshing
cooling to the tongue
i can hear my feet
crunching on it's stiffness as it
gathers on the sidewalk filling in the uneven cracks
it's beauty is amazing
serene and serenading
to me as i briskly walk home

The Evening Sacrifice

As the Sun sets at dusk,
The women folks trekking
  briskly home,
Dinner on their minds.
Turning and churning the
  firewood;
Smoke billowing from the
  fireplace,
Rising and ascending to the
  skies;
Obliterating the blue sky with the
  plumage of smoke.
It is the evening sacrifice of wood,
  dinner is being served.

Basket of Silence

She walked briskly
along the boardwalk,
between the bakery and ocean.

I'd seen her before,
but only once this season,
like an elusive butterfly.

The small basket in her hand,
covered with a checkered cloth,
swung by her side.

I asked what she carried
and without stopping or pause
she replied, “Words cannot convey.”

Mine

your eyes entered my house of stars
why you'd beckoned my souls heart again
an emptiness surrounded me

as my breath was taken briskly into
your chamber of masculine hues
I'd so valued the cravings collecting

a certain lust aroused by your scent
bottled with a hint of pine and the thought
that you'd forever be mine

Autumn

Endings starting
Leaves are turning
Grass starts browning with
Furnaces burning.
Colder weather
As to focus,
Deeper feelings in
Shallow harvest.
Briskly, daunting
Haunting Spirits
Barren-halled reckonings as
Frost encroaches.
Verdure withered but
Perhaps a good Word;
forgotten pasts buried
In the stillness of the earth.

Forgotten Tale

I bade thee time and time again,
For unclenching of the soul.
A journey long to calm my mind-
And make me rest assured.

Sing to me a wistful tale born from a city far,
Take me on the coursing rivers briskly winding down,
With hidden temples, fountains, and a past not yet discovered,
I yearn to know what secrets grow in places left forgotten.

A Fox Crossed My Path

A fox crossed my path in the woods today
Trotting briskly on a leafy pathway
Of a sudden he jammed on his hind brakes
Sniffed air redolent of felled trees and clear lakes

I imagine he determined I wasn't a threat
The fox darted off; I broke out in a sweat...
Put my trusty wheelchair in gear in reverse
Rolled my way home, composing this verse

A Cyclical Connection

Dawn drinks daylight.
Sunshine spreads supremely.
Briskly brightens bays and beaches.
Restless readers reclined rise up.
Freshness flashes fair faces.
Wildlife awakens watches.
Life loves lusciously.
Man makes much merriment.
Responsibility reckons…repeatedly.
Continuity continues its cyclical connection.
