There was a cat in a catacomb, licking on an ice cream cone, just
biding time to go back home.
A little lonely but not alone, there in the catacomb....

The banshee was biding her time
Trying to look like she belonged
At the Scottish wedding
Death found her

And escorted her out
Wrong wedding he cautioned her
She was young,
Glad she had saved her wail....

Biding time with hopes that our frigid winter,
Filled with dismal bitter, cold-numbing ways, quick
Warms its heart, unfreezes as ice melts, moaning,

     Time for spring cleaning!

From the dew pressed evening light
there by the biding brightly might

Elusive Death
oh elusive death!
I am biding for your encounter
one feet already in hell fire
my beloved departed in wait on the other side
no bonds to hold me back
delay not my friend beyond the styx
my simple request is no allusive....

All Checks No Balances
They tangle and they twist; wear diamonds on their wrist;
Their security is spying; and they say that you are lying;
You yelled and jeered and hissed; and now you’re on their list;
And with their time they’re biding; till they keep you down and hiding...

Fox poises mid-step

Rabbit scent tantalizes

Mouth waters wildly

Eyes peer intently

Haunches crouched, slung low to ground

Biding time to spring

Mountain lion growls

Padded feet part tall grasses

Hunter now hunted

Sweet Amla
So bitter but oh so sweet
Enlivened tastebuds and tightened jaws
Better health I long to greet
Biding obedience to natural laws

Naturally cleansing and nurturing
Assimilation and digestion on high
Invaluable health I'm furthering
Toxicity and disease I bid a sweet good-bye...

Fond of dusk’s long shadows am I.
I’m here right now but I’m hiding.
You see me not; I tell you why:
Fond of dusk’s long shadows am I.
Now see – sun slides down in the sky.
My time since morn I’ve been biding.
Fond of dusk’s shadows am I.
I’m here right now but I’m hiding.

Music Inside
Music
feeds insatible
hungers pushing
urging deep
inside abiding
souls bringing
emotions apon
surfaces raw
tossed salad
sprinkled mixed
organic everything
topped writing
pens dressing

strings dirty
moods favorite
cooking underneath
accompanies biding
time feels
creatively free...

The beast inside is biding.
The Angels crying.
The war machine is working.
The people are dying.

Sacrifice is overwhelmed with sorrow, fear and screaming.
The evil in men's hearts will stop mankind's from beating.

In war life is cheap, hearts will be broken. As the madness of our kind has found its voice and spoken....

Crawling along the ground upon all fours
his open wounds matching his tunic red,
alone with no rescue out on the moors
the only shelter low stone wall ahead.
Then one by one their silhouettes appeared,
silently along the mossy lime,
they'd overtaken him as he had feared-
the skulk of foxes sat, biding their time..........

Sleepless Nights
I'm awake for nights, days on end,
Little sleep is in sight for me.
Pills do little to quell my pain.
I face the pain as it rise and falls.
Swallowing back my cries
So they can't be heard.
There are times when I think
I won't survive another day,
But here I am, but here I am
Biding my time until I sleep.

*A tribute to those who suffer with chronic pain....

The Reaper
The dark figure stands just out of view
Biding it's time as it watches what I do
I sense it as I make my way in this life
Each step closer as my apprehension is rife

But when I turn around it scurries away
Not wanting to catch my eye and stay
They say that when the day finally comes
I will see the reaper as its duty is done.

I am lying in bed
With my lady
Sadie
Ready to voyage
to hades

when she whips out
an iPhone

sometimes Freddy
once Eddie

she texting and tweeting
her friends on line
or reading
romance novels and
books on how and where to dine

she ignore me
that’s fine
me biding my time
waiting patiently for sex
between the texts...

Love and Friends
I have always been in love with you
Yet all these years you never knew
You were married to my friend
And I didn't want that marriage to end
But when he died, I waited my chance
Until you were ready for a new romance
So while I was biding my time
You married another friend of mine
Now I'll be ready if this marriage ends
For I don't have any more friends...
