Apricot sun
Close your weary eyes
Lie down your head
on evening's silken clouds
And pull the blanket of
a spent day over you..
apricot roses
glowing in near dusk lighting
with dark foliage
A sweet and sour plum relish
Buttered pear salad
A beetroot and orange soup
Baked apple cheecake
Apricot dumplings
Rhubarb fool
Squosh !
saffron cloaks the clouds
as apricot streaks the sky . . .
the sun peeking through

Apricot sunrise
by a rippling muddy creek...
Spring rain overflow
The scent of honeysuckle
permeates the cold north breeze.
with passion a palette glows ~ cinnamon apple and apricot skies

apricot tea in Thailand
breakfast fruit set up on balcony
welcoming rain greeted us
I felt grateful that I had come
this gentle ambiance worth remembering
Winners sip champagne from a slipper
Losers wipe the sweat from their brow
Victory tastes sweet as apricot honey
Defeat's an empty stomach, without Ciao
jade faerie in verdant woods
wearing apricot gown so fancy
spies shiny emerald well-hidden
mushroom path keeps the secret
jade faerie hides too under shiny oak leaves
The glass of a brown
house portrays the apricot
clouds from which peek a chilled blue,
and the docks the tints
of trampled sand- mocha hues-
as a new oil painting.
Little Lucy Lancelot lunching on an apricot,
Looking like a lovely London lady.
Bully Billy Ballantine wants to be her valentine,
But Lucy loves the goodly Graham Grady.
Tangerine skies apricot clouds glittering shores, her dawn..
Lying twined and she in beauty aside, serenities gentle surf
Kissing caressing dreaming aneath, our Summer's joyful sun.
Never worry, worry not -
You’re my pretty apricot.
You are here. my peach is not.
I tossed her when she grew a spot.
In a day or two, you will see
Just how we meet our destiny.
Cloud of apricot bloom
weary and drowsy
whenever our gazes collide
Your harbor has dark and dawn
rhyme in an ether-like cadence

an apricot sun
dives beneath the dark covers...
lovers serenade
volatile moment
apricot-colored sky vaults -
unforgettably
There once was a woman named Sandy
Who liked jelly candies and apricot brandy
While her teetotaler husband was away
She drank a bottle of brandy that day
When he was home enjoyed only the candy
There was an old hooker named Black,
She turned the air blue in Iraq,
In stilettos of ink
And her curlers of pink,
She flashed in her apricot mac.*

Plum's exotic cousin
Part apricot, all sweet
Puckery zing delight
Permeates pastel June
Pink freckled fair ladies
Pollen dusted with the
Perfume of summer fruit

Beneath the covers
Softly blanketed
in apricot pudding and
pink orchid splashes
by a blushing sunrise
peeking in as
our morning dreams
come true
beneath the covers
Good morning Soupers
~
An apricot hue
tints the heavens
now dawning
I gaze to the east,
not a cloud
in the sky
An echoing breeze
brings a sunny
good morning
In whispers to me
as the day
wanders by

Apricot nectar, I licked from her lips,
suckled the dew like honey
from melon ripe breast
and in time did savor
the heady heavenly flavor
of passion's fruit in all the rest
and night birds
beyond the window
...sang a new song.
Leaves of apricot burnished gold,
a hint of Autumn's crimson ways.
Friends in wool hats, as nights are cold.
Remember September's college days.

Apricot pits can be
Added to a base of
Almonds, and you will have
An Italian liqueur,
A little bitter, but
Also so alluring
As sweet Tiramisu!
