I especially love the line "Pink freckled fair ladies." I'll need to pick up a pluot next time I see one. Congrats!

Reads like a good contender for the contest. Way to go. I think I would like that because I like both plums and apricots. I have had seen them because I order online now and my husband goes most of the time and picks up the grocery order and I help put it away or put it away all by myself. All about trying to avoid getting sick. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Yes we also order online from the store sometimes, although I would rather pick out some groceries (like fruit, eggs, meat) myself, because I have gotten less than desirable perishables when I order them online! Thanks for commenting!

The sight, the smell, the taste you portrayed makes my mouth water. Last year I picked up some pluots and plumcots then potted the seeds outside. Now I am seeing a few sprouting! It will take years to see fruit though.

Your poems about fruits are so informative and interesting, Michelle... I googled 'pluot.' First I got 'Pluto.' (Not the dog, either)... When I googled pluot fruit, I got what I wanted... Now I just have to find them in the store... Probably a better chance of that in hip Oregon than in the staid Midwest here. G.L. in Kim's contest. :) gw

Exotic indeed! Didn't know pluot is a hybrid of plum and apricot. Your poem is a sweet dedication to the fruit. Expertly articulated, as always, Michelle. All the best.
