Smoke alarm
goes off in
the bedroom;

We’re reckless
with our hearts,
with our thoughts;

Forever
burnt kisses
steal my soul.

loudest house alarm
triggered by hundreds of things
hoarsest cough warning

Premium Member Smoke Alarm

Not the tell tale heart under the floorus
nor Edgar Allan Poe's thesaurus
can convey the nightmare that disturbs my sleep
when my smoke alarm goes "beep".

Premium Member Alarm clocks are my enemy

Like to stay up late
Brutal mornings always roll around too soon
So desperately need more Zzzz's

Premium Member Sound the alarm

Sometimes the messages are subtle.
Sometimes the cues are underground and silent.
Waiting may be too late.

Premium Member Lazy Snooze Alarm

The sun looked tired this morning
Yawning stretched shadows over silent birds
Teasing nighttimes sleeping flowers
As its lazy snooze alarm hummed idly

I dreamed that I lived in the sea,
So happy, contented and free.
No need to do dishes,
I fed with the fishes
'Til a sea creature tried to eat me.

Death

is eternity's alarm clock, set to awake the soul

from her temporal lethargic sleep of earthly life

Waiting For the Alarm

Within the tragedy of a broken dream
   rages a fiery lost inferno

Where we burn in fearful anticipation
—waiting for the alarm to sound

.
                               The snap of a twig
                                   Doe and fawn quickly vanish
                                        My careless footstep

Premium Member The Great Alarm Clock Scam

A singular failure is the alarm
When used to late morning sleepers disarm
For as soon as it rings
They turn off the damn thing
And don't wake up 'til work's done on the farm

Alarm Clock

As the morning choruses' alarm clock I tick the box

for waking up this Spring glory at four of the clock by

loudly laughing while reading comic glory 'Catch - 22'

Man to doctor: I poop every morning at 8:00 A.M. Problem is, I don't wake up until 9:00 A.M. A messy problem I'd say Use lots of flowery spray And be sure to set your poop alarm for 7:00 A.M.

Premium Member Damn Alarm Clock

My alarm went off in the middle of the night I set it for 8:00 what an annoying device A penalty should be enforced Perhaps an action in the courts Preventing it from reoccurring, that would be nice

The 7am Alarm

The 7am Alarm

I dream of sunrise
with easy breath
and natural sigh.

I even dream
of laughing
without fear of shadows.

But knowlege
of the world
is soul inhibiting.

I know it may go on
busting my joy
or it may grow.

The Alarm Clock

It begins before dawn
 a groan beneath the sheets,
a crack of bone and will,
 the clock tells you….
“Hey, Get up. Be a man.”
 The floor is cold,
 so is the coffee, chill!
 but there’s work
 always work to do

autumn

cars sound the alarm
autumn delivers it's storm
night time is shattered

window faces watch
our world of broken branches
wheelie-bins gone rogue

when tomorrow comes
boys will collect their conkers
grown men their shovels

False Alarm

she set
a fire
and i
set off
the

alarm
to warn
myself
that she
is true

in fact
too good
to be
true
so

having
to cover
my ears
to keep
out

the sound
of the bells
the bells
for they

because
of me
toll
for

Premium Member When the Alarm Clock Rings

When you hear that alarm clock ring,
be prepared to get up and swing.
If not, you could be in bed all day.
The morning will quickly pass away.
At work, the boss can get annoyed.
Get up and out before you're unemployed.
