gentle bee lights feeds
beside me as I am sighting
colorful floral
~
aromatic bud
enters flower and just sucks
the tasty nectar

The best thing about waking up
is not the coffee in our cup
warming the cockles
I'd impart
from the bottom of our heart
it's knowing we survived
to see another day arrived
no matter what may come our way
as being late
when we're done and gone
is far too harsh to contemplate
so smell the flavour
savour the roast
and of our time here on earth
before we're toast
let's not forget to make the most

When I think of food and drink,
it's no surprise
the question does arise,
with booze some choose to let it breathe
and defer their bottle of wine,
I prefer to savour the flavour
and give mouth to mouth to mine.
(Que Syrah, Syrah!)
Some say, “The glass is half full,”
with accent on the positive,
some see the glass half empty,
and focus on the negative.
Two sides to every story,
supposedly that implies,
as for me I see
something else entirely.
And as for size I will apprise,
but, before I do, I beg of you,
allow me one more swig,
“Sláinte, salud, prost, cin cin,”
the glass is too damn big!

February 1 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Leviticus 1-4
Key Verse – Leviticus 1:17… It is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO INVITES US
TO OFFER A SWEET SAVOUR UNTO HIM
Praise be to God for inviting us to offer
a sweet savour unto Him with:
Willing sacrifice
Worshipful spirit
Worthy surrender
Whole submission
Wondrous satisfaction
Leviticus 2:2 Praise be to the Lord for enabling us
to give Him offering that signifies:
Oblation of holiness
Oath of honour
Obligation of helpfulness
Obedience of honesty
Opportunity of helping
Leviticus 3:12 Praise be to the Saviour
Who wants us to offer:
Unblemished gift
Undefiled generosity
Unselfish gentleness
Undeterred goals
Untainted good works
Leviticus 4:31 Praise be to the Almighty Who forgives us
as we offer ourselves along:
Confession midst His compassion
Consecration for Christian conduct
Commitment toward His commission
Conformation toward Christlikeness
Contentment, devoid of covetousness. Amen!

Go sing if ye enjoy,
No use your soul to destroy.
River flows as suits her moods,
Sea leaps with waves, never broods,
None of them ever feels coy,
Go sing if ye enjoy…
Trees sway on wings of fancy,
Dance in utter ecstasy,
Leap, lift up all restrained buoy,
Go sing if ye enjoy…
No use, much walked ways to walk,
Nor in same tired ways to talk,
Watch a child lost with her toy,
Go sing if ye enjoy…
Till ye be in touch with bliss,
Which, a perennial stream is,
Just find your own mundane joy,
Go sing if ye enjoy…

Musing |20.01.2024| sing, mood
Poet’s note: One likes it or not, man has to do many things suppressing his inner voice, his mind’s mood. And he often feels like unburdening himself from all such social and practical commitments. Yet, it is not so easy, what so the mood might command. From such predicament is born this poem.

SAVOUR OF AN ENCHANTED LOVE
Hold me in your eyes spellbound.
Keep me there, warm and safe.
And let the charm stay potent.
With each wave of the wand,
Enchant me.
Take me on an exhilarating ride.
The feeling of fresh air,
The peace in your embrace,
A blend of savoury flavours.
Never felt emotion so strong.
If it's your magic,
Please, keep me hypnotized.
Take me to your fortress,
With no tinge of fear,
I'll walk with you.
Light your enchanted candle,
Conjure up some music.
This sublime beauty wants to dance for you.
They wonder what I see in you,
Why I'm so perked up.
And I wonder what is wrong with them.
What is more enthralling!
What is more captivating!
If not love.

Hustle of traffic
In red and green
With whirls of more motor horn and
The thrust radio in my car
All concealed and unfortunate but,
In fierce search of oasis
"why not play the recorder?"
That someone said
And felt the rain...
Tale of love abraded by rain
Tale of absence gore my veins
Tale of glimpse bygones stake my chest
And sounds of raining sings melancholia,
Glooms every joy we together savoured
Once alive,
And some ghosting nights...
And my mind full of abandoned tasks
Knock inside the glass of my car
Here's signals green.
I felt,
This vehemence of your desire
I am savouring,
Both unconsciously and unconditionally
Since shrouded you in the riot of 2008!

What be of love if one was purged of thee
To claim a life of constant misery,
To wander lost a blind alley not free
Turned from once a flower to shrubbery?
When dusted away the shadows from time
Those that festered within a view so plain,
Yet not wanting to veer from daily grime
An act from Shakespeare as one did feign.
Like the first key of spring one did open
A cold heart locked in ridicule and shame,
To live in pretence of nothing broken
When thinking it were he the one to blame.
So never to curse the day that time took so long,
When written in verse becomes a beautiful song.

With Your approval, sealed by Your favour
My faith, Lord, meets Your gaze of illumining fervour
Yielded I am for Your guidance in my endeavour
Offering to You my service as oblation of sweet savour*.
*Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Honeybees are kissing clover,
Fragile wings are taking flight,
And a heavenly aroma
Fills my senses with delight.

Bloom ten thousand fields not one drop of fragrant rain Can rise to meet yours - -Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken

Time and tide wait for none, it is said
It is a true and a wise statement indeed
Forget the dead past and fears of future
Savour the moment precious and be happy.
No extent of brooding can recoil the past
Nor help ease the anxieties of tomorrow
Let the past ghosts be laid to rest for good
Leave the past behind for good certainly
Savour the moment precious and be happy.
Enough of stale rancour; put a full stop to it
Ignore the apprehensions of the impending
Have firm trust in the supreme power above
And be at peace with oneself; that is abiding
Savour the moment precious and be happy.

Jesus came down to earth
So to be our saviour
For He being the king of heaven
Come down to do us a big favour
Jesus entered into our flesh
Living out the human life
Showing us the way to heaven
By dying to our knife
A wonderful saviour is Jesus
On a cross displaying perfect love
He died as the perfect sacrifice
Taking our sin in his bodily glove
So in the great act of salvation
Jesus displays his love perfectly
For a truly wonderful saviour
This Jesus gave himself freely

Must Savour the First Rain
Like love, it comes after a long pining
The smell of the first meeting
Of the falling water and the fine soil
Reminiscent of my first lick of love
Disarming my otherwise guarded heart
Lost defenses to the soothing art
Of the complementarity of the scotching soil
And the cold and freely falling rain
Tip-tapping at the back of my shoulder
As I search for broken asbestos pieces
To play my ‘padda’
The cleaned up air breathe
Spurs my insides as an infant’s first suckle
Of her mother’s breast
The pat-pat of the rain on my roof lullaby me
Into unremembered sleep
Must savour the first rain
