Sandcastle Dreams

We built our kingdom of sand and dreams
A fortress of shells and seaweed streams
We dug our moat with buckets and spades
And prayed the tide would not invade

Our walls were high our towers tall
But storms came and watched them fall
The sea devoured our sandy home
Leaving us stranded feeling alone

Gone are the days of carefree play
Building castles

No answer

When I was a child, 
I had a tomcat that loved sleeping in my bed, 
and a dog that lived outside
and barked at night when demons would come. 
I wore sneakers, shorts, 
and a green hat made from a burdock leaf. 
I broke my neighbors' windows 
with a slingshot just like

August brightness shows 
Unique memories to catch,
Golden sandcastles built
Under the holidays euphoria.
Sweet when starts, sour when it ends~
Torch flame reaching its top splendor.

Kings and Queens choose those to die
A game of thrones perched on high
What new tactics will they try
Sandcastles up in the sky

Monarchs laugh while peons cry
We bow down when they walk by
Then we sit and wonder why
Sandcastles rule you and I

Trumpets sound and eagles soar
Signaling the tides of war
Nations fall when lions roar
Sandcastles forever more

Time through the hourglass falls at a rate of grains,
These subtle morsels of molecular stones that lay on the foundation of earthly stains. 
Minute signatures of the past pressurized to crumble and seize.
The zillions of small building blocks can be molded entirely just for all to see. 
Smoothed, blown, cut, dug, soaked, dried and spilt

Walked Thousand Miles

I walked and walked tirelessly for thousands of miles
                 crossing vast dales and steep soaring mountains far,
                  in search of you, my

     Hypnotized by the symphony of your entrancing slumber,
          I dip my shriveled fingers into your haloed silhouette;
      Oh they bloom in luminescent boundless ocean of our love,

Disenchanted sandcastles

Alone on a silent shoreline,
sea breeze emotions paint my skin
Sands of time slip away as I count the stars
wondering why so many seem to smile,
when I don’t

Storm fence pickets stand straight,
weathered of years watching
Holding at bay the impending dunes
where my footprints once shared these moments
with another

Salt water teardrops fall,
meeting the beach in sorrow’d pools,
lonely

Summer Days

I watched the gentle waves lapping the shore 
And taste the salty breeze from the ocean air 
I saw seagulls flying horizontally without a care, 
Spreading their wings in the calm atmosphere. 

Politics powers reign and lovers claim romance 
Parties began, and the united theme stood strong, 
Crowds weave merrily in victory celebration dance 
On

Sandcastles

We can’t defeat the clock,
despite our best intent.
No buffer to the shock,
no reason to lament.

Don’t be sad, don’t be scared,
you can’t abandon hope.
Think of all that we’ve shared,
you’ll find a way to cope.

This gift is only lent
and certain rules apply.
