Premium Member Sales Pitch A Book

Here I sit on a big bookshelf,
I am here all by myself.
At night the lights go off,
the dust makes me want to cough.
Each new day the lights go on,
making me wish I was gone.
I see you walking by,
that makes me want to cry.
Oh please do not be shy,
pick me up to buy.
I just know you need a new book,
give me a look.
You will love what you see,
I can go home and we can have tea and brie.

Ladies and Gentlemen
Step right up….
Gather round
FOR WHAT….YOU SAY

For the greatest of all gifts
The opening of a heart
An invitation to escape
The drudgery of doing

GATHER NOW
Oh wearied warriors
Surrender
To the whispered words
Of victories won
Hearts lost
And beauty
Whispered.

CLOSE YOUR EYES
And witness
Welcome the whimsy
Of a wily wind
Whistling its tales
Sharing its tears
Drawing you into its
Comedic insanity

LISTEN
To the heart
See through closed eyes
Exhale the taste of loneliness
Listen with your soul

Become one with the warrior poets
Gathered and share the wonder of life’s POETRY

Your carpet sounds fine, but now wait!
You say there are spots here and there?
Some smudges show dirt that you hate?
The solution I will now share.

I'm telling you what you should know!
This Zap is the best cleaner found!
And like the commercial, I'll show
It's quick and works well all around.

Just spray it on those spots of dirt-
No need to scrub in or to blot!
Foam power is built in each squirt-
walla- and away goes the spot!

Like magic, your carpet will gleam.
No one will suspect dirt was there.
You'll smile while this cool, magic cream
will fix your stained rug with great care!

And just for the heck of it, too-
discounted now twenty percent!
No kidding, it's so very true-
you'll wonder where all that dirt went!

Hello, my dear Margarita.
Trust me, sweet muy bonita.
Indeed, lovely Ms. Lillico -
my dear Margarita, hello!

One moment of your precious time -
I'll sell so cheap, it is a crime.
Won't you allow me to come in?
I'll sell so cheap it is a sin!

Thank you, I'll just unpack my case.
Oh, this low price is a disgrace
for something that's sure to delight
when you read on a sultry night.

Count them like petals of a rose
(and I'll throw in free pantyhose).
On installments, it's billable,
a pittance for each syllable.

Premium Member Sales Pitch For My New Book

Good morning bookstore owner,
here my new book is a loaner.
It is a must read,
it will turn your young readers head.
It is about silly yellow ducks not red,
shaking their feathers and counting ahead.
The kids will love this fun book,
fill your shelf so they can take a look.

Premium Member ALAS POOR SOCK - A Sales Pitch Soliloquy

Alone I lie, upon this cold tile floor,
a humble sock, once twinned— now twinned no more.

O cruel Spin Cycle, thou relentless wheel,
that tossed me from my mate with heartless zeal.
Where is my partner now? Dost he yet roam
the shadowed caverns ‘neath the dryer’s chrome?

Once were we two, a pair in woven grace,
matching in stripe, in purpose, and in place.
Together did we warm the traveler’s tread,
together faced the hamper’s rising dread.

But now~
now I am but a single thread of fate,
a lonely wanderer seeking out my mate.
What foot shall claim me? What drawer grant me rest?
What mortal hand restore what kismet hath oppressed?

O merciful buyer, hear my muted plea:
take pity on this sock bereft, yet brave.
Lift me from this sorrowed laundry sea,
and grant me purpose past the dryer’s grave.

For though I stand alone, my fabric worn~
still beats within my heel a hope reborn.
