Premium Member Cleaving to Divine Killick

"He will progress toward retrogression..."
Mother's heart defied such prognosis
yet it reverberated, haunting soul
thus, faith cleaved to divine pillar
toward hope fueling functionality
surmounting spastic bouts
conquering seizures
then beholding miracles.

Now, milestones radiate
as special child drives himself
midst freedom bliss
maneuvering wheelchair
likewise taking steps with walker's brace
vanquishing mother's fear
toward triumph of impossibilities
enabled by the divine anchor.

Why are you back

Why are you back
Looking in the mirror and only seeing disdain
These things begin to taint my brain

Why are you back
Intrusive thoughts of severing skin
Again they begin

Why are you back
Inability to feel joy while surrounded by it
Numbness consuming me bit by bit

Why are you back
I told you to go
I knew you didn't want to; I felt the no
It reverberated through my bone
Leaving me feeling oh so hollow

But now you are back
And I feel everything that I lack
I feel it tenfold
And nothing can hold
Me together again
Sadness begins to pour
Over the edges of my soul
Drowning until I'm left in this blackhole

I'm scared. I'm scarred. My vision's gone black
All from the fear that you might be back.

Premium MemberThinking About Back in Black

Ladies and Gentlemen, his time came much sooner
Then we could have imagined, now mourning this crooner
On the verge of this pinnacle, about to be on top
I speak of the memorial of one Reginald Belford Scott
Just a statement to the world with this cover
Simply to let us all know they need time to mourn for their brother
All colors, no colors, none segregated
Black placard venerated
From the opening bells tolling, decibels reverberated
To the ending with a rock n roll sermon elevated
A power punch with this Nineteen Eighties driller
Now the second bestselling album to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”
Yes, it’s plain with an embossed band’s logo
It’s a value (not a hue) as far as artists go
It leaves much to our imaginations
I think that’s on purpose, to allow ruminations
So, here’s some peace for all those who lack
Wait for the headlines, we will be “Back in Black”

Premium Memberthe echo returns not

steeped in an ocean of time
slow motion’s recurrence reverberated
concentric circles rippled the tide
moored its anchor
in illusions of safety

yet the harbour was far away
a mere tug at a distant shore

once more it sent out its signal
as he finally snapped ready to drown

never again said the mermaid
leave the sinister hobgoblins
and straddle Atlantis with me

secured at last he acknowledged
that letting go of the past
meant freedom and safety

Premium Member39 Minutes

When the tar-soaked rain cascades from ominous clouds,
And the oceans roar with Poseidon’s might,
As the screaming ground heaves beneath your careless feet,
Will your deadly heart remember the last 39 minutes of my life?
When tears stained my scarred cheeks,
And I cried out to the heavens, scrambling for your hands,
But you ripped them away, leaving me to stand alone—
Knees shaking, feeling so frail,
Begging, pleading, breaking.
I can no longer taste hope,
Nor feel the warmth of light ignite my dreams.
Darkness swallows me, piece by piece.
Still, I called out your name, but only silence reverberated back.
I could feel Death's bony fingers wrap around my neck,
His black cloak covering every bit of my flesh,
Barely able to utter a sound,
And only the dying color of my eyes piercing through.
I look in your ruthless direction with fear,
But you turn your callous back toward me,
Letting me succumb to the pits of despair.
As my heartbeat stops and death takes its toll,
My spirit curses your unforgiving soul to eternal damnation.

Premium MemberI did not know how to love you

I did not know how to love you,
I burned in silence, a flame wandering
In the forgotten valley, where time stands still,
Your eyes - lighthouses in the night, beads sparkling
In the ash that remained from our love.
Your echoes, in a hush, reverberated,
Eluding my grasp, unable to hold them close;
Beneath my steps, the burning lava consumed me,
Leaving behind the ash of unfulfilled desires.
I touched you, gently, upon the soul, without you knowing,
Windmills scattering the scent of jasmine
Under heavy eyelids; and I crushed you,
Unaware of your astral radiance.
From the ear of wheat, I gleaned silence,
The same mute piety from which distance was born.
I never learned how to love,
I diluted, became part of the river of love.
Beyond me, where dreams end,
The white butterflies extinguish in the prayer of resurrection,
Leaving behind only the memory of what was
And a deep regret for the unfulfilled love.

Premium MemberThe Tree

Written: January 29, 2024
                      _____________________________________

When a hurricane swirled,
and spread its deluge
of dark evil
onto the fresh green land
gloated
western skies reverberated
with joyous tales
trees had fallen!
ace-high trunk is besotted!
hurricane harms tree life
Had the tree fallen?
not in our endless red streams
not while our thorny limbs,
fed the thirsty roots
while roots are still alive
tunneling deep
deep into the land!

When trees rise, branches
flourish green and fresh in the sun
Tree laughing will fade in the light
and birds shall return
Undoubtedly, the birds will return
The birds will return.

Behold the majesty of a tree
a miracle of nature
standing tall and unwavering
in the face of snow, rain,
and all life's challenges
marvel at divine creation
as trees pray with leafy arms
and wear nests akin to jewels
fools may write poems
the sole divine makes such sights
so witness the wonder
that is a tree—a testament,
to the enduring power
of nature and the divine.

Premium MemberWeeping Willow

Written: January 03, 2024
                 _____________________________________

Wrenching writhing
of capacious weeping willows
In a dubious dream vault
I felt spurred to seek safety
from scorching sun
subsequently, in confusion,
I broke into a wide smile
that reverberated within
an inane, jumbled heartbeat,
venous thrombosis.

Imbue a pulse to svelte vessels
I didn't realize when it started
lacking friends and love
shattered heart, rotting core
halcyon recalls vanished
just dying is the goal
It's exhausting to suffer and cry.

Every sound in your name
whispered in the breeze
strengthened our bond
going toward dreams
amid fluttering twigs
I discovered serenity and solace
weeping willow's embrace
wind rustled its twigs as music
quiet fears of long-lost hopes
seeking refuge from the hot sun
I discovered this secret treasure
a vault for memories and dreams
It's a long way to hell alone
life isn't awful, but no one phones
I can stay here until earth scorns
stay with my weeping willow.

Children of a Mirror

Our minds are a mirror's fragments now facing each other
Reflecting rays of thoughts and passions from each ever-turning face
Building a house named "Sympathy" built from those shaky beams

Inspired by a passage from David Hume's A Treatise of Human Nature, Book 2, Section 5. "In general we may remark, that the minds of men are mirrors to one another, not only because they reflect each others emotions, but also because those rays of passions, sentiments and opinions may be often reverberated, and may decay away by insensible degrees."

Premium MemberTangled Threads of Dread

Written: June 17, 2023

In a world where shades ooze and swirl.
Wherever fear spreads its nasty curl,
Dread covers the world in an icy grasp.
And bleak stories that often unclasp.

As moonlight weaves a haunting tune,
Tangled threads of a dread commune
Nighttime whispers that are not heard
Fears reverberated, and people fled nerds.

Everywhere you look, every crevice
Dread lurks for the right time to menace.
Those with courage in their hearts
The bitter aftertaste of despair starts.

In the realm of dreams and hope,
Where success and glory elope,
There lies a tale of a soul's quest,
In the face of failure's snide zest.

With every stride, a challenge is set.
The spirit soared, never to forget,
But failure loomed with its snide sneer.
Whispering doubts, filling hearts with fear.

Resilence

As Fred's words reverberated through the air, a sense of unease settled upon the group. "Is it ever?" he mused, his tone tinged with resignation. The weight of his words seemed to be amplified by the heavy silence that followed.

But amidst the quiet, a voice spoke up, offering a glimmer of hope in the face of uncertainty. "Be strong, be resilient, shine your light," it said, imbuing the air with a sense of determination. The words carried with them the power of the human spirit, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, we have the strength to persevere.

For in the face of adversity, it is the heart of a lion that beats within us, driving us forward with unwavering courage. And just as a butterfly emerges from its cocoon, transformed and reborn, so too can we shed our old selves and embrace the new.

The Way I Lived and Live My Life

With moved words,
long emotions
compensated acts
attentions offered
loves, distributed
 debts contoured,
friendships, contemplated
succor offered
supports maintained
speeches, delivered
silences, reverberated
teachings, followed
lessons, oriented
the possible accomplished
the impossible tried
Mission Accomplished...
it can be said that I lived
 and still live Life... !

A Tale From a Broken Yet Healing Heart

When my eyes searched for you in the crowd,
Flooding my mind, with a tirade of thoughts,
A single humble prayer reverberated through my soul
I wished that you be mine forever and whole.

When the melancholy of the daily grind tires my soul,
I look for you in every face I follow and stare.
Hearing the words, never spoken from your lips,
Accepting the apologies that were never offered,
While my heart craves that you be mine forever.

When all you offer is pain and criticism,
I try to see the honesty in your words.
The pain behind your vicious whine,
With a humble prayer that you be mine.

Premium MemberHas Not As Yet

has not as yet
the bubbling elixir surfaced
bursting forth in boundless exuberance
enveloping all within its fold
yet without confining
as a bliss mist

has not as yet
a silent scream of delight
reverberated through boundless space
as a lions roar gently purring
caressing all hearts
with its perfume

has not as yet
head melded with heart
fusing together in a synergy thunderous
co-creating hearts desire now
as of choiceless choice
resonating with love

Paradox Repeat Paradox

Void to live in frost bit pain
Maimed by thought made like Cain
Comatose element numb with spite
Corrupted veins sinister mindless night

Devour the sand reverberated Time
Decay for filth screeching chime
Clockwork putrence constructed door
Misery wasteland voidless core

Correct the heart paradox repeat
Volatile time disrupt discrete
Puppet string maliciously control
Mirror reflective of a twisted soul

Bestowed vividly abysmal thread
Fateful sustenance restless dead
Corroded souls absolutely prime
Paradox repeat swelling time

Final concept vivaciously stored
Overflowing clock fire poured
Scorching below time bitterly perceived
Breathless paradox end conceived..
