Written: January 29, 2024 _____________________________________ When a hurricane swirled, and spread its deluge of dark evil onto the fresh green land gloated western skies reverberated with joyous tales trees had fallen! ace-high trunk is besotted! hurricane harms tree life Had the tree fallen? not in our endless red streams not while our thorny limbs, fed the thirsty roots while roots are still alive tunneling deep deep into the land! When trees rise, branches flourish green and fresh in the sun Tree laughing will fade in the light and birds shall return Undoubtedly, the birds will return The birds will return. Behold the majesty of a tree a miracle of nature standing tall and unwavering in the face of snow, rain, and all life's challenges marvel at divine creation as trees pray with leafy arms and wear nests akin to jewels fools may write poems the sole divine makes such sights so witness the wonder that is a tree—a testament, to the enduring power of nature and the divine.

Outstanding poem/tribute to the enduring strength of one of nature's bravest--the trees. I literally enjoyed every line of this poem, your alliteration and your metaphors. This poem was beautiful! I liked so many lines but these one stood out: Behold the majesty of a tree a miracle of nature standing tall and unwavering...oh if we can be as majestic, strong, and as miraculous as a tree...or maybe that's what your implying. At any rate, am faving this poem. Sending you a Soup Mail, Sara

This is so beautiful dear Sotto. Incredibly well written from your gifted pen. Such quality throughout its entirety. So many lines to be in awe of. I love how you have repeated that the birds will return. So profound. I sensed an air of spirituality about it and I love how you have indeed portrayed the majesty of the tree so poetically- ‘ as trees pray with leafy arms- and wear nests akin to jewels- gorgeous! Indeed, an enduring power to both nature and a higher power. Loved it! Thank you . :)

Trees deserve as much poetry as we can write for them as we owe them so much! This is a wonderful job, Sotto Poet, bravo.

Sometimes it is amazing how a tree can hang in there when a storm comes through and sometimes, we wonder why that tree went down this time when it had withstood so many storms. Thanks for sharing your work with us and for your nice comments on my poem. Sara K

Oh, what a beautiful tribute to the trees, dear Sotto! Although this poem describes the magnificence and wondrous element of masterpieces created by the nature, especially the tree, here, but it can also be interpreted as a symbolism and metaphor for the resilience of a person who withstands every storm with courage and bravery following the path of wisdom too..This poem conveys so much about philosophical depth and emotions, your wordplay is so captivating as well! Absolutely loved reading this
