Premium Member Heroes

Never meet your heroes, lest they fail your expectation
Resulting in the crest that's fallen down from that elation
Experienced upon neglecting self-examination
Overlooking what it took to gain this elevation

The Team

Life’s quest begins with natural talent to ascend,
On two legs in motion and words for communication.
With parental guidance and skill development by trial and error,
And observation and utilization of education as time progresses,
Every adventure is new and exciting as the senses are invigorated
And where leaps and bounds are greeted with self-satisfaction.

As years pass, physical and mental development focuses
On windows of opportunity that life offers for existence
Through failure and accomplishment in living experience.
Ambitions realized question rewards and behaviours
That require skill sets and demand continuous repetition
Until exhausted; success may not be the resulting accumulation.

The path to the summit requires effort and commitment
Of physical exertion, and mental capacity to attempt the challenge
With a methodical stratagem, deeper understanding, and patience.
Now is the time for reflection: “How did I arrive at this place in time?”
Many believed in your abilities; the joy and pain, setbacks and gains,
But you are not alone; a team coincides behind you every step of the way.

Premium Member Betrayal And Love

Betrayal and Love

Our prime purpose in this seeming existence is to help others.
if you can't help them, don't hurt them even with a convincing hoax
because the paradox that many want to find in the daily grind is
that if you love until it hurts regardless of perks and any squirts
there can be no hurt until there’s even some unfair betrayal

Betrayal can happen in anywhere in any unexpected form
even on a nature trail especially if you’re empty handed
plus it tends to be both needless and unfair regardless of a bear
resulting in a bad ending

However, what every individual on the planet needs is neither
betrayal for any reason nor loneliness but love in every sense
of the word-it can start with a bottle of water and a compliment
which requires gracious acceptance or an offer of a meal

refusal to accept is not love nor is it anything other than fearful
rejection which even though better than a lethal injection can seem
worse than betrayal and is sometimes much worse than love- lack
of companionship is not right nor do fantasies have remain fantasies
because love is what’s needed!

Premium Member The Canada Goose

in Canada we watch the Canada Geese
each Spring soaring in the sky
majestic against the sun
returning to us
their huge wings outstretched
flying in forked formation
honking all the way . . .
nothing is more beautiful
than their landing on ponds and rivers
they glide to a stop
with a splash sending water high
as they are a huge bird ~
they come in mated pairs
and soon are building ground nests
bowl-shaped in the reeds and grass
where two or nine babies are born
they do that three times a season
resulting in groups of babies
at different stages . . .
both parents care for the goslings
sometimes, other goslings join the parade
and stay with the group for one year _
so lovely watching them
guiding the yellow babies and bigger babies
across the water~
today, we watched some
junior geese learning to fly
                         graceful, peaceful

Premium Member Written in the Stars

It may have been written in the stars,
more likely it was written by Venus and Mars,
that ancient attraction between birds and bees,
shiny locks and shiny keys.

Secrets of space and time
wrap themselves into grace and rhyme~
stars strike the notes,
solar winds and sailboats…

Gravity writes the laws of attraction
resulting in celestial perfection.

Premium Member CONTENTMENT

Contentment is a state of mind,
Resulting from experience,
And wisdom plays a healthy role,
In finding this inheritance,

Passed down to us from gentle hands,
And loving hearts through time.
As we observe our parents lives,
Our own lives are refined.

We emulate the things they do,
Take on unconscious manners,
Knowing not that we've acquired,
These traits from family standards;

And so it is we learn our ways,
From all those 'round about us.
Be careful where your children play,
For others do imprint us,

With notions that are not our own,
But learned in other places;
So watch them closely 'till they're grown,
And know what social grace is.

Teach them how to be content,
Through love and self control.
Though they may stray a little while,
They'll come back to the fold.

DIVORCE

My divorce was reduced to about 7 years, it was a marriage from 1995-2014=19 years, date judge signed divorce decree. In my state a judge has the discretion to decide the length of marriage, thus resulting in money and other divisions of assets.
Like a job, some jobs require us to get 10 years in before being vested, marriage appears to have the same type of ways.
Since everything can be manipulated, by use of friends, money, lies, and more ways not mentioned, the divorce laws should be consistent with federal government law, saying a marriage is from date of marriage to date of divorce decree.
I have suffered many losses as a result of this reduction in marriage length, I am hoping they change the state law and make it retroactive so many like me can get justice, and future divorces never suffer like I have.
Lifting prayer to God, today and always.

Premium Member Picasso's Lover

"All his portraits of me are lies."

                             Quote by _Dora Maar

Picasso painted Dora Maar with green nails in 1936
his lover and muse for a decade
she was a photographer, painter, and surrealist artist
influencing his art . . . she was captivated by him
he was intrigued by Maar's seductive nature
theirs was turbulent relationship

The painting by Picasso is a surrealist-cubist that depicts
his lover, elegant though with anguish
with green nail polish and eyeshadow
her gaze is intense . . . her eyes beautiful
her beauty is distorted
tortured

It is said that Picasso was physically abusive to Maar
resulting in a painful separation and depression
in time she became a recluse, died at 89~

Picasso, though the father of modern art
had a dark side . . . manipulating women
with cruelty
he had a long list of sexual flings
and revolving affairs
he said out loud that his art was his
primary relationship
his lovers just hobbies

He was a complex, talented man no denying that
able to capture his subjects emotions
but not much of a lover . . .

I am the Dark!

I am the Dark

Silent to unfair Partialities
Subject to Social Vulnerabilities
Witness to Minor Criminalities
Idle to Public Responsibilities
I am the Dark!

Resulting in Mass Atrocities
Waking up to Stray mortalities
Numb to Countless Disparities
Failing to Prevent Cancer Calamities
I am the Dark!

Driven by guilty Estacies,
Working for Common Fantacies,
Outstanding Plans to Briberies
Muted while recognising fake abilities
I am the Dark!

  Enough said! Enough not done!

Echos from the Soul!

"Work and Resolve!
Dream and Build!
Volunteer and Give!
Lead and Change!"

Trust in the Light!
Delight the Right!

Premium Member In Name Only

We’ve reached a point,
As in 1861, when America
Is a nation divided,
But unlike then
It’s unlikely the current state
Of rebellion and silent coup
Will spill into a larger
Outright civil war
Mostly because it’s not a battle line
Drawn on geography
But instead on ideology,
And those ideologies aren’t about to change.
If anything the divide just widens
And solidifies with each passing year.
The effect is cultural apartheid
Separate media, schools, sports and entertainment
With of course, the resulting separate histories
To be lived and told
In separate lives and libraries
Until we live in a single united states
In name only.

People in the Morning

Watching people in the morning
Always makes me wonder,
Will their days be sunshine-kissed
Or thwacked with hail or thunder?

Sometimes faces might reveal
A look of such frustration
You know their day’s first hours
Have been filled with aggravation.

Yet others wear a glowing smile,
Their confidence so striking
That anyone observing may feel
Their own self-doubt spiking.

Of course, the day may then unfold
In ways we can’t envision,
Resulting in an unexpected
‘Fore and aft collision.

The early hours, though, provide
A glimpse of the beginning
Of the time stretched out before us,
As our world is slowly spinning.

Premium Member Christmas

Christmas cheer is thick this year,
Hot toddies give way to highballs
Resulting in the requisite arguments,
Insults and black eyes,
Same as last year and the year before,
Tomorrow, too ~ New Year’s Eve,
Made for drinking and carousing
As the midnight striking of the clock
Signals another year of cheer.

Premium Member The Authority Of Christ Sent By God - John 3: 34-36

Jesus came here on His Father's authority
sent down on a divine mission
speaking the word of God from above
to tell of the great commission

God the Father loves His only begotten Son
giving all things into His hands
so Jesus brings His own to Himself
that His own true word will stand

They are those that believe not the Son
resulting in the fact that they won't see life
out of their own foolish heart disbelieve
this unbelief brings its own strife

God's believing people believe the Son
so as a result, receive life everlasting
bringing joy and assurance to their hearts
with a peace that's forever lasting

This divine authority is truly biblical
proven by Jesus life on earth
His words and actions displayed truly
all of His attributes in His life and birth

(John 3:34-36 )
("For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.")

Premium Member Snow Globe

Snow globe: a frigid, spherical womb,
dream-dusted in darkest December,
mothering the snow-smothered life within.
Shake and shatter the plastic confine,
break the incubator's glass coffin.
Stare into the resulting blizzard:
snowdrifts of memories mounding and settling.
