Premium MemberFamily RESERVATION?-

Windows open, but the doors closed;
Shut up are the cabinet doors;
Running water from the faucet flows, pours;
Down the counter top;

Painted white ceilings but yet there’re dingy yellow;
Family sitting at the dinner table yet they’re not together;
Clock on the wall battery operated tics-tock-tics-tocks;
Every second distance franticly;
~
Ever bodies looking the whole family looking for the mop;

Premium MemberMorning Reservation

Everything seems to fit
into this morning's
vast mosaic as if each
piece has been shaped
to occupy a given place.
Even the broken sea shells
that first appeared redundant,
strewn haphazardly
along the beach
now give pause and interest
to the sands otherwise
featureless reach.

Trees occupy their allotted
space, the rotunda claims
its usual ground and clouds drift
the wide freedom of the sky.
Silence cups like an ear
to receive the days
waking sounds and in a corner
where the pier slots so neatly
into the sea, small boats bob
about in their moorings
overlooked by a hollow made
in air that seems to fit
my contours just perfectly.

Premium MemberNo Reservation Or Contra Indication

Yesterday we had our vaccination,
Developed no hallucinations
And certainly no indications
Of symptoms, as per some perceptions

Feel good we had this vaccination
Giving us some protection,
Was over in a second, no hallucinations,
Or contra indications.

Arm was painful, no more or less, a revelation
2nd phase Pfeizer, need no persuasion
Indeed, a definite exuberant exhilaration,
So many hundreds in the queue, a true illumination.

My heart felt such intense satisfaction,
So many people in line for vaccination
Which is for ours and your protection
Have not a single reservation.

Have this much researched safe vaccination,
One must not tarry, pay great attention
3.5 million people that have died since Covid 19’s inception,
Weigh up the odds, one should have no objection!

Reservation

I sense reservation in your words
An attempt to not get caught up in
it all again
I too, must remind myself daily
Sometimes several times a day
That I need to leave you be
Let you process your grief
Lick your own wounds
For what she did to you,
You, in a sense, also did to me
And though my heart wants to offer comfort
This time
It knows better

Premium MemberNo Reservation

You didn't make a reservation
I can't believe that's true.
We'll have no bed to sleep in.
Whatever will we do?

My husband had forgotten again.
He started t o look around,
When he saw a sign that promised
A vacancy could be found.

"I think it's a flophouse", he muttered.
I dropped into the leather chair.
There was no way I would sleep in that bed,
And my chair I wouldn't share.

"No reservation?" I scolded.
"I can't believe that's true.
We'll have no bed to sleep in.
Whatever will we do?

My husband had forgotten again.
He started to turn around
When he saw a sign that promised
A vacancy would be found.

"I think its a flophouse." he muttered.
I dropped into leather chair.
there was no way I'd sleep in that bed,
And my chair I wouldn't share.

Women's Reservation Bill

Being a highly self-directed person
Knowing how to speak and reason
Today’s woman is alive to the sense
Of her dignity and the importance
Of her private functions straight
And domestic domain ultimate
Her talent is superb I state
In the public domain great
Being rational in approach
She is cool with no reproach
Want to do things best possible
And in a manner commendable
Let’s emphasize woman’s role
In all fields of society I dole
Thus she has a pivotal role
In eradicating poverty whole
She can mend social fabric
If taken out of daily afflict
Let all womenfolk enjoy their
Rights and opportunities fare
Major reason is the illiteracy
All we need to change policy
Education is a weapon at large
Narrows down odds at barge
Being significant is their role
For better life in future whole
Let’s educate our girls umpteen
So as to take HDI in teem
Want to see society progress
Then enhance the women status
Let’s honour the women folk all
Stopping restrictions on the girl
Let’s stop early marriage
To gift the women much tutelage
Women’s Reservation Bill is the call
Please fight for it my comrades all..!!

Premium MemberIn Cat Lake Reservation, Canada

I read on the news
about first nation
people getting sick
because of fungus
growing in decaying homes
babies have body rashes
all people are effected by this black mould
children have red inflamed skin,
the government is listening at long last
repairing mould ridden homes
or building new homes for first nation people
still much to do but this is a beginning

Reservation

Restricted access keeps us locked up inside where we cannot ever escape

Everywhere we go, white picket fences turn into iron bars and barbed wire

Safe places do not exist anymore

Even the place that we call home has become a barren jail cell of its own

Rising sun now symbolizes another day of pain and sorrow and regret

Vacant fields with no crops are only the first sign of a dying culture

A lie has been built upon the idea of a perfect and happy society

They push us all away, expecting us to live in sanctuary and hold onto our customs

"In God We Trust" they say....

Only where is God in all of this suffering?

Nowhere…..

Dinner Reservation

You think that,

my favourite time is
taking the pan
and cooking dinner for you....

Its not true....

I have no obligation,
for daily meal preparation,

Further more...

I find no attraction
for your appetite satisfaction..

So therefore,

Lets quickly change the situation
and make a dinner reservation:-)

Superman Just Made a Reservation

superman just made a reservation
i am in a phone booth penthouse
a knock on my door gets my attention
there you are, looking like the last time it was the first time
you still have those calming brown eyes
you still possess that laid back smile
in all our routines and the addition of life, i guess we forgot ourselves and each other
that changes tonight when mary jane becomes my taletha abernathy again
your hair is down
my arms are open
let's be each other's Welcome Back Mat and cry happy tears together
it has been too long
the air between us is the sweetest it has ever been
i wonder now if you still are
there is only one surefire way to find out
it a bit it will get so real and surreal

Reservation

I look at the stars
And I look at the moon
And I know that a life
Awaits me soon
Although I am scared
And my thoughts are a mess
Something is reserved for me
A force I cannot guess
As the past blows ice
And the wind succumbs
My heart beats like
A thousand drums
As I search and I search
For the height of my game
My eyes light a fire
My sadness cannot tame
