No Reservation Or Contra Indication

Yesterday we had our vaccination,
Developed no hallucinations
And certainly no indications
Of symptoms, as per some perceptions

Feel good we had this vaccination
Giving us some protection,
Was over in a second, no hallucinations,
Or contra indications.

Arm was painful, no more or less, a revelation
2nd phase Pfeizer, need no persuasion
Indeed, a definite exuberant exhilaration,
So many hundreds in the queue, a true illumination.

My heart felt such intense satisfaction,
So many people in line for vaccination
Which is for ours and your protection
Have not a single reservation.

Have this much researched safe vaccination,
One must not tarry, pay great attention
3.5 million people that have died since Covid 19’s inception,
Weigh up the odds, one should have no objection!

Great , Jen, no more worries! I had both , the first was fine the second a little sick. It didn't last long, but my son really got sick with the second.

Great pen Jennifer with a message that many need to follow, why so many are against it I'll never understand for covid is no nice thing. We've had both our vaccines with little effects other than a sore arm for a few hours. Hope all is well with you my blessed friend, all is good over here as even the sun is shining all this weekend. hugs and blessings, Gordon

Hello Jennifer … had the flu shot yesterday and must wait two weeks before our covid shot. We’re in lockdown again, but it’s for our own safety. Good to read in your verse how so many are lining up. This virus needs taming - thank you Jennifer - Lindsay

So glad you got the flu shot Lindsay, and even happier you are going for your covid vaccine in two weeks. We are also in lockdown again but not the severe one, half way as the Indian variant is running rampant.

However, the message I put across in this poem, I feel Poetry Soup should Admin. have done something with it, so that a lot of people could read it, but so many readers are against this vaccine that perhaps politically they felt they did not want to get involved, such a shame, I feel, rightly or wrongly that many are even concerned to comment, but as you say this virus needs taming. Just as many are against having the vaccine and voice it, which is their right to do so, I too voice my opinion, and thank my friends that have bravely commented for understanding. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Yes it is a settling feeling and glad you and all your family have had it Tom. I think my poetry has helped me because I am a bit of a philosopher or maybe I don't even think the burglary has affected me and it has, not sure, but it certainly has affected Elias because he is having dreadful nightmares. Blessings to all the family and you my friend. Jennifer.

Important too be vaccinated. Probably we'll have to take a booster next year. It's all for our well being. Hugs
