No Reservation

You didn't make a reservation
I can't believe that's true.
We'll have no bed to sleep in.
Whatever will we do?

My husband had forgotten again.
He started t o look around,
When he saw a sign that promised
A vacancy could be found.

"I think it's a flophouse", he muttered.
I dropped into the leather chair.
There was no way I would sleep in that bed,
And my chair I wouldn't share.

Great poem. This reminds me of when my dad went in to a hotel and they asked if he wanted a Half night or a whole night. LOL

I'm glad you had the chair - I have visions of poor hubby wrapping himself in the curtains to fend off whatever might be in the bed... Thank you for this funny tale!
