A district in the south
On the coastline it has graced
Is a well established charter 
Ancient roots from which it’s based

The symbol of the city
Placed on the Corporation seal 
That Latin script around the edge 
Enshrines the common weal

A pair of towers at the Port 
Consolidate the fort
Allowing commerce to flow forth

I've noticed our Republic's
IrReligious RightWing Tree of Life v Death
reacts to root-systemic problems
as if oak strong branches
lifted to majestic worshiping heights
of crowning supremacy
need not be concerned
with watering
and feeding democratic roots
of nutrition
nursing organic trust
and nurturing EarthMother empowerment.

Such behavior feels less organically intelligent
than a sacred Tree of MotherEarth

More like a gang 
of Bully Putin Pulpits
and capital addicted

A Hard Right

There are clocks turning backwards,
there are rights being lost,
you might think you’re unaffected,
but things are worse than you thought.

For your wives and your daughters,
are now property of the state;
they’ll be tracking their cycles,
and they better not be late.
For your women are now watched
by the militarized state;

The old laws have been eradicated,
cause it’s freedom,
the republican fundamentalists

Sacred Vestments

Rebuilding bipartisan explorations,
at least two-sided appositions,
like generously inclusive
and conservatively exclusive
worldviews of MotherEarth

Sacred polytheistic strains
and peak experiences felt
through love of life

Born of Patriarchal-Capitalist mistrust
against Polycultural-Communion 
religious lust
for life's organic culturing
peak experience trust

Engaging Other-stressed worldviews
to speak
and listen
for when and whom they
