bruised and punctured
deflated and tattered
given warmth and a smile
in time this heart may mend

It’s wanting from a few years of neglect,
relentless weeds crowding out the flowers.
But like they say, her bones are pretty good,
with some hard work and time we’ll make it ours.
Replace a few boards to repair the fence,
maybe put a bird feeder in this tree.
Pull out these shrubs on this side of the house,
that will create a better view, you’ll see.
The master bath looks newly remodeled,
I wonder why they tiled the bedroom floor.
We will need to replace these two windows,
and why the hell is this such a small door.
But I guess we have no right to complain,
the price is right and the location great.
In no time we will be lounging poolside,
saying life in the Ozarks is first-rate.
So, he did his own repairs
How drastic that he even dare
His work fell aparted
Breaking his small heart
He thought that his repairs had flair
claustrophobia...
furniture hissing at heels
— kissing time away
8/22/2018
chipping paint from wall...
can they match up the season?
— moody Spring

I cracked the screen on my phone today
Now there's hell to pay
Or the repair charge
why get it new
here what to do
here's why you can buy
you can just try
honey
AND
save some money
you can sew do it slow
cloth need a stich in your wear
GO
MAKE REPAIRS
It’s not always a silver lining sought
when the spirit of self is broken…
Much better for self
is that gold refined touch
sent forth from the forges of heaven…
Ever humbled and grateful
for the purity of His Love

Suspended Womblike
Pearly cloud and sapphire blue of sea
Turn day to night night to day
In endless succession
Beneath the tiny being floating in the Nothing
At work on an instrument to help his kind
See deeper through the endless void
They all sail through together Birth to Death
The black ocean of stars and worlds
Adrift in icy silence.
Eternity beckons just over your shoulder
But don't look - the vastness will kill your mind -
Concentrate on repairing that mechanical eye,
For steel and glass can't be affected so.
Focus on the huge and tenuous beauty of Home
Rolling beneath you as you hang in frozen fall
Marvel how - even this close - she gives no sign
Of the struggles seething below
Of the constant flashing on and off
Of all her teaming life
Of the untold eyes of untold creatures
Now watching their world roll by
On tiny glowing boxes
Given an Angel's view
Through eyes of steel and glass.
You did something at the end of your sermon that was going too far.
You asked everybody in church to give you money to repair your car.
You make good money, pay for your own repairs!
Trying to get others to foot the bill isn't fair.
Yes it's true that people should help one another.
But if you have the money, you shouldn't burden others.
You may be a preacher but that was still a wrong thing to do.
The person who should pay for your car repairs is you.
