hey friends raise your heads
lovers of green and flowers
let your minds relax
Jews are aliens
we return to mother ship
relax wine and feast
Relax. Relax. Relax in Jesus.
Relax in Jesus now and here.
Give him all your troubled feelings,
Thoughts, anxieties, every fear.
Relax. Relax. Relax in Jesus.
Relax and trust him now and here.
‘Rest in the Lord’ the Bible tells us.
Let his peace replace each tear.
Sit down quiet and let things go
Make every muscle soft and still
See your Saviour watching, keeping,
Whatever comes, it’s his good will!
Relax. Relax. Relax in Jesus.
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” Psalm 37:7.
And again tomorrow
With purple flowers,
And the sun above
Or clouds and showers
Another day comes
To rise and to shine,
More than enough time
To breathe, to feel fine
Between dawn and dusk
A thousand minutes go,
Around and around
In moments so slow
Another night comes
To pause and to rest,
Gives us time to smile
Knowing we did our best
And again tomorrow
One more chance to try,
With the stars above
And the moon in the sky.
If 'music be the food of love,'
as the Avon Bard did write,
sing me a song of sixpence for my supper,
to see me through this star-crossed night.
And there'll be no need to drink to me
only with thine eyes,
as, for a happy hour or two,
a glass of euphoria I will pour for you.
A Green Fairy, guaranteed to relax inhibitions
and unwind the tired mind,
my fingers will do the walking
and talk to you in kind.
Rumoured to possess aphrodisiac qualities,
let's taste, not waste, nor this potent potion squander,
well you know, green means go and as true emerald is its hue,
Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.
With apologies to William Shakespeare (1564 – 1616)
Relax
Don't.
Waste Of Time.

pour me a glass
no place like home
time slows down
till life’s on pause
you and i take a deep breath
finally put up our feet
honey-do list falls to the side
nothing matters but the now
for at least this little while
we’ve earned our kudos
we are victorious
masters of our universe

in the late night hours
i like to take things slow
i sip a glass of chardonnay
merlot or pinot grigio
through my bay window
i'm watching the fall of snow
i sit back and relax
setting the lights down low
with pen in hand
i just let the words flow

A Simple Joy
This man was reading in his room ~ William Wordsworth
My last hour each day
as I hit the hay
is unwinding time
relaxing as I’m
feeding my obsession.
Not just wanting, but needing
to turn pages, reading
this chapter and next
taking in text
until me or my book is done.
No way can I measure
my nocturnal pleasure
of lying in bed
with a book to be read,
new adventures to devour.
I can go any place
while staying home safe
with no social distance
or mask for existence
in my nightly ivory tower.
There's a melody in my heart
A song I'll love to sing
Singing just like Michael Jackson
A song so soothing and rejuvenating
Keep you relax and amuse same time.
I've been wondering
What happy the heart
So unfortunately, it's in the little things
More you get, more you want
You can't own it or know it all
Just be grateful for what you have
It gives you melody in your heart.
Expectations ruins the heart
Don't settle for less but the best.
Don't give your power away,
To things or people.
Happiness is powerful,
It gives inspiration to think positively.
Laying in the cool breeze
Drying the sweat on my face
Chilling my skin feeling refreshed
The light touch of God
The unknown rhythm of the wind
Memories of people and places
Flag waving back and forth
Remembering what it means to me
Hair moving with the breeze
Helping to loll me to sleep
Carrying happy dreams
Into the Universe
Dig, dig, dig,
What a catchy phrase,
It is a phase,
When I gave time to pace,
I untie my lace,
Set time to race,
I cut to the chase,
To let my body move,
The sand I shove,
Grain by grain of quartz,
As if I'm wearing a Swatch,
I dampen my body,
With out of reach,
I am not a preacher,
But I know I'm on siege,
I'm not underage,
I turn money into sage,
I take my pledge,
I make it to the center stage,
But wait, I'm in a cage,
I need to go to college,
To turn a dime from a seawage.
