I tried to take something off your plate,
That was a huge mistake.
Honestly, sorry for what I ate,
Now there is no way to replace.
Trying to find a compromise,
I honestly want to apologize.
Truthfully, can’t decide,
Do I deserve to die?
The whole time, I was just along for the ride.
Got me staring at the sky
Questioning is my brain working fine,
I tried to brush it to the side,
But now it doesn’t want to hide.
Maybe it was the wrong place, wrong time.
Did I learn my lesson?
Well now I’m second-guessing
I just want to know what’s the message.
Honestly why am I stressing,
Hoping for a blessing,
Steady checking
When I didn’t even have the weapon.
Not one thought of aggressing
Is it time for me to do some reassessing?
Or will I just be regressing?
I sit here with the truth oppressed,
Wearing guilt across my chest
In this silence I’m a mess
All I wanted to do was my best.
Stop peeping through my window.
I am not, herein, on any snooze show.
You frighten me with pin-pierce-like aches.
In my dreams, you send snakes.
I am frightened of my irreversibility.
Isn't evil's mischievous causality?
I sleep and wake with thanatophobia.
Knell is heard in my ears, not Gloria.
The world seems strange to me.
My well-wishers say I'll be soon free.
Is freedom regressing within myself?
Do I need, anymore, jewels on my shelf?
I remain shocked, often, and numb.
Unconsciously, I calculate my existential sum.
Anguish and anger brew in me.
I see void, vacuum, and absurdity.
Where has my creed gone?
Why is there dryness in the marrow of my bone?
I bear everything, whether great or small.
Trusting in an eternal life towards which I crawl…
As my mind slips away
A little more each day
Regressing into a world of juvenility
With less and less social civility
Physically capable but losing mental mobility
I believe this road is called futility
The 70's brought a wake-up call, embracing some needed change.
Some women with unwanted pregnancies were self-mutilating, so insane.
It seems we are now regressing like a patient who's demented.
Why would a women's right to choose now be legally circumvented?
Too many women lost their lives in a blood bath so obscene.
Botched coat hanger abortions and
other unsafe means.
Do you hear their voices?
Can you count their screams?
We have learned nothing, or so it seems.
Too many women's lives ended tragically.
Where are their death statistics?
Are we too blind to see?
God help a nation that forgets it's own history.

I never knew a child like this would be possible.
It felt like I was the only person in the world that to her was not hostile.
She would stare so listlessly…
And I was devastated as I couldn’t rock her incessantly.
But the doctors from that time said she was normal-
I just wish she could speak her turmoil.
A child that hoards all this pain she can’t understand.
And even though she learned to stand-
She will always be regressing into herself as she is too old to hold my hand.
It is as if, with age, she gathers more to withstand.
And our connection becomes more apparent-
I am still a lost and lonely parent.
Propellent syndromes rotating with energetic drum
the winds of time begin to churn your soul begins to hum;
Through the portal of time you go regressing, progressing
forever moving forwards, you are a tiny little string;
Dangling at the edge of time, waiting for the big rebirth
with the sun, moon and stars hung around your girth,
you slowly decline at the doorway of heaven's nook
and enter mothers womb as she delivers you with shook;
Ferris wheel cries cracking the silence of dusks headdress
the dawn is a blush of bruises but the eyes, oh! the eyes
they are two luminous stars of love, here is no surprise
the old soul has done it again, thundering back in, mortal
as you once were. Immune to taste, sight, and smell,
a propelling syndrome rotating with energetic drum,
the winds of time has brought you back, now hum.

Regressing to the mean
Mortality seemed "out there", a long climb;
A somewhen to think about another time,
A cloudiness too distant from my prime.
Too quickly have I regressed to the mean
And my end time no longer a dream.

Pretty
Reasonable but Still
I digress
Regressing into Old Habits
We all know how hard they die
Harder than life; itself
Uh Oh
I misspoke
For nothing is harder than
Ms. Life, with all of her
Dastardly
Trials and tribulations meant for you
To grow stronger
If you let it
If not
She’ll break you into bite sized, or
Fun sized pieces
Chew you up
Spit you out

Bigotry
Written: by Miracle Man
11-19-2019
Many people today still remain a bigot,
Tolerance isn’t something they choose to embrace.
Hatred spews, like liquid from a spigot,
A blight on mankind and the human race.
God created all with the intent to be equal,
But conditions today are becoming depressing.
Having passed their time, bigots work on a sequel,
Now it appears today that the world is regressing.
“Too many of our prejudices are like pyramids upside down.
They rest on tiny, trivial incidents, but they spread upward
and outward until they fill our minds”
William McChesney Martin
Dreams do not die with the dreamer
Resisting nonviolently is a powerful weapon
Mission minded people must stay focused
Armies make wars, but people like King make peace
Regressing grievances is very constitutional
Teach the children true American history
Instill in our youth dignity and self respect
Never give up on people nor on their dreams
Love is the key to demolishing bigotry and hate
Untangle yourselves from the bondage of ignorance
Touch others and feel the pulse beat of their pain
Heaven opens to those knocking with hands of love
Evil is never a match against the good and the Godly
Revolutions of good are born out of intolerance for evil
Kingdoms of nightmares fade when the people dream
Independence of nations strive when its people are United
Names like Adolf go unclaimed, but the name Martin remains
God blesses the nation whose God is The Lord. 91719PoSoup
“Mother” A Poem
It was my hair day
Time to get chopped
And feel a change of sorts
Taking my seat
To rest my feet
A lady beside me
In her space wear helmet
Was almost done
Eileen was returned to her chair
By two girls who exchanged a stare
“If you know who needs the loo
It’s not a pretty sight
So don’t get a fright”
It was a blessing that Eileen’s hearing was regressing
As scissors danced with Lightning speed
Hair rained down
Upon my knees
Just then the bell rang
Someone’s face at the glass
Enter son to collect mother at last
Mother was nearly done
Coffered and lacquered in front of her son
“Button up Mother it’s cold outside
Where’s your handbag love?
Is it by your side”?
Alone in my chair I didn’t mean to stare
But the love that flowed
Was a sight to behold
In a world that is now
Gone quite cold
They say keep fighting
All these wrongs that I've been righting
What's left, left in these writings
In the dark looking for lighting
They say keep fighting
A war which there's no winning
The boundaries are only thinning
I was love in the beginning
They say keep fighting
I don't feel!
Like a paraplegic
I fed my love to bulimics
It hardened me, made me strategic
But I say keep loving
Not everyone will be deserving
Paradoxical when you're hurting
But even seeds grow after buried.
I say keep loving
I know it's a haystack but be a needle
Love of self and another's equal
Hurt people just hurt people
So we need to keep living
I put a halo on you like a blessing
Sentenced myself from the lesson
Forgot love and was regressing.
No! I need to keep loving!
My wall encloses my enemy
Avoiding pain is what kills me
My account of death resurrects me
To love is to start living
We idolize Netflix and chilling
We say "Eff love" and it's soul killing
Because we’re love but we stopped giving
To live is to start loving
Years slip by
and the world continues to turn
changing and progressing
or regressing.
Retrograde evolving
skipping thru history lessons
to venture forth
bold and fool hearty.
Looking backward
visionaries see'
what happened but was never
meant to be.
Prophets, sages and psychics
sense the madness
as it dances
brazen on the horizon.
Peace and war
are now merely words
to allow love and hate
to rise and fall.
Separation of rich and poor
stretch wide the gaps
of haves and have nots
to forever be unsatisfied.
History rewinds
pushes play and repeats
until one day
we are all
out of time.
THE NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS
This year I will Not!
I won’t shed tears no more
Over spilt, spoilt and splattered milk
Trying to win you back
All those years wasted
On a painful, mind numbing love
This year I will Not!
Pray foul prayers for you
Begging, bribing and beseeching
Hoping you will drop dead
In the arms of them ladies
That steal you away from me.
This year I will Not!
Stay awake many hours
Recanting, regretting and regressing
Why, oh! Why me!
Trying to retrace my steps
A hopeless life, a wasted soul
This year I will Not!
Try to hide all these scars
Scratching, slapping even slicing
Recreating my torn skin
Behind the facade of make-up
Make overs and make believe.
This year I will Not!
‘Cause you my dear are no more
Your death, deceasement and departure
Is my sudden re-awakening
Here in the silence of my cell
Fifteen years for manslaughter.
