Jack 2
As my mind slips away
A little more each day

Regressing into a world of juvenility
With less and less social civility

Physically capable but losing mental mobility
I believe this road is called futility
...

Regressing to the mean

Mortality seemed "out there", a long climb;
A somewhen to think about another time,
A cloudiness too distant from my prime.
Too quickly have I regressed to the mean
And my end time no longer a dream.

Ensembles of little wonder,
rattle the mind amiss,
percussing each muse asunder,
more a kick drum than a kiss.
Inherent absurdities,
on which I plaster a smile,
mortified in memories,
regressing all the while.
Through breathless interlude,
studied demeanours lie,
I pray for beats of solitude…
to distract this rhythmless eye.

germaine
an immigrant
they granted him
a pass
some eight generations past
first, depressing
later, repressing
regressing
turning generational curse to blessing
and now messing
and fiddling
with rhyming and riddling
for an extended verbal stint
roger that
with another Jeff
and all the

Habits
Pretty
Reasonable but Still
I digress
Regressing into Old Habits
We all know how hard they die
Harder than life; itself
Uh Oh
I misspoke
For nothing is harder than
Ms. Life, with all of her
Dastardly
Trials and tribulations meant for you
To grow stronger
If you let it
If not
She’ll break you into bite sized, or
Fun sized pieces
Chew you up
Spit you out
Yadda,yadda,yadda...

My Sweet
A shattered piece of heart was left
Five thousand miles away.

Skin into skin dissolving,
Lip into lip compressing,
Breath into breath embracing,
Word into word caressing,
Thought into thought regressing,
Pain from another pain depressing
The lonely being craving nearness
From the other.

What is a cake without the sweetness?
What is a sheet without the words?
What is eternity compared to
The second of pure love?

Nothing....

Dark's Spittle
Creeping crawling and tantalizing
Revamped and vandalizing
It creeps in

Clawing, digging, murderously thieving
Killing as it steals and thrills
It sneaks in

Vanquishing and smothering suppression
Suppressing all, thought of light regressing
It got in

Get it out, spit it back out. YOU DON'T WANT THIS TO GET IN!
Phlegm will choke you, but keep going and free yourself from sin
Dark's spittle can never, EVER..
Ah... here we are again my darling
It can win...
