Premium MemberFighting Falsehood

Fighting falsehood with mere truth is
         a losing proposition
The public clamors for the popular position

The underdog has it all his way today
yelling that America is evil paves the way
no matter that it’s pure, unadulterated fiction

Soon all law-abiding folks will be imprisoned
as anarchy realizes its wildest ambitions

the old man dawns

with callous laid hands
the old man toils garden soil
of this dry, hard land.
as his blood, sweat and tears drip,
he gladly gives all he can.

he has seen the dawn,
and he has seen the sun set,
now he sees it all
as meaning and metaphor,
of this living garden bed.

he realizes
that everything in the end
must wither and die.
and his years have now condemned,
the sprite of youthful passion.

All The World's A Stage

Is our striving worthy? Are we but actors on the stage of life and oblivious to it? Here, the background isn't factual, yet the pain is! For millennia, we have explored the existential man, who, aware of himself and his ultimate demise, must swim against the curse of consciousness and quickly find the meaning of it all! For life, with its innate desire to live, invades some fine earthling and hijacks his part in the play. Then, forgetting he is the man behind the mask he has worn for generations, realizes he is but a pawn in a greater game! So, my dear friend, throw down all your delusions of grandeur, for there is but a poor wayfarin' stranger...in love with himself!

The Revealing

You see it coming through an opaque mirror,
first signs and last winks, a monstrous revealing
the marks of a construction worker with no blueprint
one who realizes that the edifice is crumbling
from within, the pearl rubbed raw shedding its
chalky dust. At last, you see a built-in purpose,
the apparent form
together with its transpiring apparition,
the grand design arriving in one revelation.
There are no monsters or angels, the brute was always
a shallow sketch of a dilapidation that had to be
drawn before your sight until you saw
hidden beneath the scaffolding of perception,
the beautiful unformed Creator
looking clearly through
your own eyes.

Survival deceit
One by one
Someone will be among
The murderer
Mysterious
Curious
Step by step elimination
Death on someone’s mind
Jealousy all genuine
Unexpected individual drop
Surprises in no realizes begin
Until the very end
Various stages disappearance
Uncontrollable breathing
Fate
One will stand
Then there was one.

Premium MemberHorizons Expand

    Horizons expand
       then they narrow
    We make our plans
       sling our arrows

    The target tantalizes
       at first, bulls-eyes
    Later on, one realizes
       all of us die

A Chance To Change

We are addicted to our thoughts
We cannot change anything
If we cannot change our thinking.

You will become successful
If you accept criticism
Both negative and constructive.

Give everyone a chance to change
For the time one realizes mistakes
One may turn a life so well.

in the land of shadows only the soul runs

one last wish? am I still entitled to this?
I would like... I would like a lot … ah… how many there are
the one who has no memories cannot have a future

before reaching a name on the long list of lost objects
realizes the value of regret and time (the lost past)
and it's as if you still want to let the wind touch your hair and pull furrows in the sky

sometimes I feel like I can be the summer solstice
to divide time into hours, days, moments
but what I don't have is already past. I will be lost too

souls, don't let indifference wash away your colors
because you need the soul, not the eyes, to find the way
and to help you pass all the customs of heaven

Rhythms of my soul

As her eyes are rehearsing those unspoken words,
Her mind is trying to sync with the rhythm of her soul, yet unknown.
With tunes unsung and plays rewritten,
She finds herself swindling between different worlds in an array.
With lullabies sung and voices embracing in unison,
Her soul still yearns for a place to retire.
As much as she enjoys the domineering adrenaline rush through her veins,
The thrill of chase made her forget the warmth of a quiet embrace.
She wants to experience the softened kiss of oxytocin.
Where numerous words can be communicated, within an untamed silence.
A dimensionless canvas to paint words,
That cries out the rhythms of her soul.
With silence ripping her out of the race,
She wants to put herself in solace.
With tears of laughter and cries of joy,
Her soul is in an unwavering dilemma.
As her eyes are rehearsing those unspoken words,
She realizes she needs a burst of dopamine,
For her lesson practices yet to be sung.

Hanging On This Impertinent Illusion

I've no strength left to keep fighting,
motivation has worn off like stealth;
voices have no happy sounds,
faces are sad, nobody laughs...
I'm a ghost wandering among the living;
I walk past a cemetery, I smell death!

Isn't it awful to hang on this impertinent illusion,
keeping away the incoherent threat of intrusion?
I spoke sweetly avoiding a harsh voice of villain;
I couldn't tarn the image of perfect gentleman!

Tragedies happen to give us a warning,
who learns from them realizes calamity;
who's proud and fearless understands nothing,
do the strongest show resistance or fragility?

Hanging on this impertinent illusion
makes me fallacious in imprudent decision;
it's incumbent that I exercise extreme intelligence,
not to fall prey to mistakes that bear a consequence!

Rebuke me, if I seem too delirious swaying from commonsense,
it's not stubbornness but deliberate frustration to make me err;
the little hope I held onto has withered and become tremendous fear:
they all agree that hanging on this impertinent illusion is my past tense!

Let's hear it for the black man

Let's hear it for the black man with his beautiful brown skin
His struggle don't show.Oh, the way that melanated skin glows
Vanilla caramel latte toffee deep dark brown chocolate, cinnamon coffee
So strong and powerful brute and brave
Born to be royalty Never a slave
Let's hear it for the black man.Others don't know no better
Built to perfection down to the letter

It's just something about them that can't be missed
There's power in their knowledge, not only their fists
Let's hear it for the black man. They've been through a lot
Making mountains out of molehills Building mansions from a cot
Lifting up his queen always there for protection
Flawless, in my eyes, there's no need for discussion

Reppin his set
Raised out of violence
Beaten and abuse yet his voice can't be silenced
He's a powerful force and he evokes fear
Without the black man, Noone would be here

Let's hear it for the black man cause he can't be broken
Straight out the projects or very well spoken
Resilienceny can't be missed
And when he realizes his potential
Mannnnn, let's hear it for the black man

Premium MemberConsciousness

Within the dark mystery of evening,
he listens to two interchangeable discourses
One the gentle persuader, the other, life's ultimate blamer.
Troubled by these seething exchanges,
both conscious and unconscious currents resound,
As the master's inner thoughts boom,
pounding into trails of indecision
with wired quizzes on his mind.

In silence, he weighs dark and light perspectives-
question left unanswered in the din
of reflection,
and through gradual flow of spontaneous musings,
Logic nags his cerebral strains-
scientific, structured assessment of matters which do not really matter...

Somehow, amid the debate where reason pauses with the fragile voice of instinct, the heart remains silent
offering gentle hunches revealing the
wisdom born from honesty, truth...

Slowly, this inner prompting arises
as the master in quiet introspection
realizes: the mind can lie , pride is ego- based ...but the heart, can it in conscience cope with deceit?

Yearns to change his stars
Posing in a photo
For his feline memoirs

A King among kings
With keen anticipation of
What high-life living brings

When he finally realizes
