Premium Member Toad and Tomato Worm Racket

If you are in no hurry, you can ask the toad to swing by
He costs less money than an Uber or Lift said Uncle Cy.
I could not believe when I looked out and saw his steed.
A tomato caterpillar named Billy, just what I did not need.

I had to get to work today, tomorrow would not do.
I paid them the whole fare and gave them an excuse too.
The toad and tomato worm were excited by their money.
Uncle Cy said no worries, they get paid like that all the time, Honey.

Tennis Racket

Tennis Racket

My old tennis racket loves to
be called
Doctor Racquet and
affects
medical uniforms.

Cat Came Unglued

Standing in the doorway, somewhat dishabille,
the neighbor's cat had staked out my grill.
The night before we'd barbecued
some fish and fries and other food.
And now the smells lingering still,
perked up that puss like a pep pill.
At first, I heard disquietude
stalking my deck with attitude.
And in her eyes, a look to kill;
I gave her space with no ill-will.
Out of that grill flew mouse and brood.
What happened next? Cat came unglued.

Racket

The radio, the children and thoughts in my head
If I crave concentration, I must go to bed
Can’t think through the racket
I simply won’t have it
I’ll get this piece written, one day, when I’m dead

Premium Member A Girl With a Racket

Cannot forget this dear friend from my youth,
Met her on practice wall, lithesome and fair,
Charms of a waitress, a confidence there,
‘Beauty,’ her virtue, and that is the truth.

Friendship developed, we flirted at court,
Love of the stroke, not to win, was her art,
Net ever-present to keep us apart,
Not her dream man, I still won her support.

Many admirers, most pushed to the side,
Marriage it seems was not her cup of tea,
Her goal, a picture of what she could be,
Her dream of future the whole of her pride.

Women have come and gone. Still, we are friends!
Nectar untasted can sweeten the flow’r,
(Chemical magic bonds moisture and flour,
Promises rainbow as true love intends).

These verses yours, my friend, long missing rhyme,
Born of the soul, now, at last, see the light,
Cradled small bird, I release it to flight,
Hoping it soars till the ending of time!

Poet's Notes:
For Stephanie Gerber,

God's blessing through life,
though never my wife

on the eve of her sixty-first birthday.

Half Term Racket

My charges are both off school.
"What shall we do today?"
"Can we please go to Jesters,
The day's all dull and grey."

So I'm in a soft play centre,
There's a cacophony of sound,
Children, screaming, shrieking,
My head's starting to pound.

The children are having lots of fun,
Climbing, sliding, swinging,
But the raucous noise is deafening,
My eardrums are ringing.

I'm trying to get them to come home,
To leave this intense roar,
But they just shout as they run off,
"No, we want to play some more."

So if you think my jobs a doddle,
No more than child's play,
I can tell you it's no picnic
In this noisy place today.

Life Is Like a Tennis Racket

The head of a racket has many holes
Hit one just right, and a target is scored
Not every shot can accomplish your goals
Practice is needed, it can’t be ignored!
Connect with the wrong shot, you miss the win
Disappointment will come you can be sure
Regret in your bad choice will now set in
Slow down and think, don’t let haste be a lure!
Life’s like that racket, believe it or not
It takes practice and patience to choose well
Haste and poor choices bring failure a lot
Rise up and rebound ‘fore you hear the bell!

Aim for the sweet spot, as each day is new
Just make the right choice, and then follow thru!

The Racket Works Hard

Quick step side step,
Backwards and forwards.

Points build up and the audience watches,
Fits clench when the advantage is yours,
It’s all about winning second does not matter.

The crowd still applauds whether you win or lose,
Head held high or head held low.

You have given it your all,
No more can be done,
How you walk home depends on you

Infernal Racket

Infernal Racket

Trump turned out to be nocturnal;
Every time he would use the urinal
He appeared to have blushed
Each time toilet was found flushed
Could not stop racket which was infernal.

Ho Ho Juim Horn

From 'Hearty Racket' To Happy Banter

They have in their senses,
A bloated self-image worthy of pulling the best.
Letter-assortments, their sense, they knew not,
Yet march on with leaps of obstinacy to brim.
Subtly aided by the fairest in all,
Visualed only due to sacrifice of self
So maintained, would ever beget close but forget house.
Once the camaraderie drew to lilting curtain
Harsh truth waded in, silently loud undertones to company,
Inasmuch as it ever could in.
Known hell hath no fury..
That of men’s remain shrouded till,
A dawn unto desperation.
Did they unleash latent hate gusts!
Sure eroded escorts pumps to barren fields.
The entire saga into the past,
The series opens to a new pilot
For two, lived in eternal hope,
Finally reaching union, taking rope.

Winders Protection Racket

Winders protection racquet?

DODGE COOKIES USE CNTRL SHIFT N....INCOGNITO BROWSING

Yes winders bloody winders,
The bastard’s bogging up today,
And the cookies bloody cookies ,
Are a loaded, loaded hey,

So you clear out the cookies
Keep the passwords dumble dumb,
Or programs will krapp about all over,
Wheres me password, grumble bum???

And they are selling you protection,
From the vicious scum sucking scum,
Written by the virus protector,
A protection racket mum,
Lots of money in it some?

Should we go get-um friggin Linux,
Not much virus work for some,
Is it any less frustrating chuckle dux,
For the idiot my chum ….

Add to it hey

The Pleasant Racket

That cheese and apple affect,
chaotic yells for morning
revolutionised
by the simple cup of tea.

With smiling echo's in grim passageways
of graffiti laughs,
concrete surfs
and chewing gums dalmatian.

Rackets of rain
like falling rivers
are the singing shouts of
ambient joy.

Requiem For a Racquetball Racquet's Racket

Was gettin' kind of loud,
On the court one day,
The proprietor called out,
to keep the noise level down
Hence the title,
Your tongue-twister clown!
