Premium Member Another Lifetime

Show me that another lifetime
Little prospect in the book
Sure it can work out fine
But I need a closer look
For it’s obvious to many
That the prophesized disaster
Keeps returning like bad penny
Winds of change are blowing faster
Than they blew in all those years
When we were a bit too young
To make sense of pastime fears
Well described in every tongue
That another lifetime prospect
Looks a bit abstract to me
Need to reconcile the subject
With my personality
For without this recognition
It’s a play on words, my friend
Where “another” means petition
And a “lifetime” means the end.

Reunion's Prospect

For exuberance
And which drops not, see
Holds a rising wave's
This my own look.
For whose prospect is
As will show drowned, she
Ahead on Time's shore
Of it o'ertook.

The Pace of Large Prospect in Tea Abbey

A partly cloudy day befalls the stage;
Actors from left to night remain a page.

Premium Member Prospect For Peace

Peace is found when people come to their senses
Stop the bickering and contentious debates
Words of anger fortify our defenses
Peace is found when people come to their senses
We should make restitution and mend fences
Arguing is one of our worst human traits
Peace is found when people come to their senses
Stop the bickering and contentious debates

Unfulfilled Expectations

If it's true that unfulfilled expectations
And no prospect of a better future
Shake a man to his foundations
Then our world must have system failure!
Many decisions can't be right,
Many reactions can't be polite!

Premium Member Valentine Prospect

sappy valentine
brown-eyed largesse broke my heart
a little, too much—
godspeed ahead…my sailor
celebrates the day we met

Premium Member Higher Is Your Prospect

Look up to the mountain so high
according to your eyes, it's very far
it seems way out of your reach
so many miles away from being a star

Realise there is a calling upon us
this calling has a divine hand
one that power's not human
but is eternal forever to stand

Rise, rise and rise so he cries
there comes a time to rise on high
then our eyes see above the clouds
even the moon and stars look so nigh

Our statures will touch the skies
when we stay close to form
irresistible is our call to rise
then we'll resist the storm

Higher is your prospect
to rise from earth's drain
the prize is ever up there
so leave behind the last pain

(Quote
'We never know how high we are till we are called to rise, then if we are true to form our statures touch the skies'
- Emily Dickinson )

On the Doleful Prospect of Devoting An Ode To a Screwdriver

Vague words lead poets to heady heights far yonder
If we, like Wordsworth, seek a path to’ wander.’
But words there are whose power is less prolific,
Dwindling fast the more they are specific.
Sententious and meaningful are rhymes
Which great poets have utilized at times
as when a line whose somber end is ‘womb’
finds in the next one that ends with ‘tomb.’
Or when a line that sadly ends with ‘death’
Is cheered next line with ‘heaven’s living breath.’
Poetry, they claim, is vast and universal,
But entry to it so often meets reversal.
Screwdrivers ,it seems, have failed, to join the race
What cruel fate has offered them no grace?
‘Appetizer,’ ‘sliver’ and - oh yes- ‘scuba diver’
Bring little help the shunned screwdriver.
Can rhyming slang yet save the day?
Let’s ask a Cockney on the way.
“Sorry, mate, I don’t know neiver.”
Envoi
If there’s a will, then there’s a way,
An optimist will tend to say.
Is there answer? No chance ismissed,
If we give the ode just one more twist.

Consoling Prospect

C-loud beneath the sky
H-as its own silver lining,
E-xpressing new hope.

Bosley Prospect

I am really bald on top.
But still I grew my hair.
And now I don't know where to stop.
I truly just don't care.

I'm 59 and live alone.
So no one to impress.
It's longer than I've ever grown.
Sometimes I look a mess. :)

It's funny how the time goes by.
And it just keeps getting longer.
I just let my freak flag fly.
As resolve's just getting stronger.

Actually, I don't look bad.
But I don't look that close.
These days it's more than just a fad.
Quite ridiculous, I suppose.

I see some women wear theirs short.
I notice that more now.
I guess that they are just that sort.
But I'm enjoying the wow.

Something like this can make you think.
And wonder what the heck.
Some probably say I shouldn't drink.
And I'm dead above the neck. :)

Well one more phrase and then I'm done.
It's getting kind of late.
After all, I'm just having fun.
It's just hair, it's not my fate.

A Prospect

Peachy at first glance
A keeper or a hustler
Only time will tell
Trust your instincts but beware
Should your prospect go astray

The Writer's Penned Prospect

The truth was here
The letters were sent
The mistakes were seen
The marks were clear
The proof was real
The smudges were seen
The words were unclear
The perfection had an imperfection
The vision was never clear
The journey was often a somber one
The time is now gone
The past survived to bring me here
The chapters and chapters continue
The words now have meaning from that past
The mistake has reason
The marks were clear; I was in a hurry
The mind raced with excitement
The laughter was there
The imperfections made a perfected decision
The writings must go on
The letters must be sent
The truth is here
The imperfection is the perfection
The journey lives on

The Prospect

The approbation for approval of a bountiful elicitation.

An evocation that is a stimulant.

As it calls up (draws forth) a particular class of behavior.

Thus, we draw out an altruism for the philanthropic devotion,

To the said principles; henceforth, being compliant and acquiescence.

We follow tradition accepting standards and agree.

Let's reinstate and make a conception and promote.

Ethical characteristics of self-effacing and resourceful ingredients;

Mild unpretentious attentiveness of an expedient plan.

A creation of to pass from one state to another.

Replacing the incongruity to find the true direction.

A change that could help streamline a new threshold

This our our nation to endure the many wonderful opportunities.

There can be great tasks ahead.

Allow information to be clear and in a few words;

Brief, but comprehensive.

Embrace the forward notion of staying appreciative,

And positive for the great people and things in this world.

A prospect of the derivative to find the real direction.

The Prospect

Where is the hope in the stars?
Tonight they shine not in celestial glory.
I must find them in my grief,
Those traditions of lost allegory.

Life was never so intense
Too easily cast away from the body
So have we been tossed aside;
Left behind without amnesty?

Tears have no shelter here;
That pointless overflow of our true hearts.
They can never last on our skin,
As consequence for life departs.

Death is a powerful soul;
A choral softly uttered by night-
Sung to the setting sun,
Perilous to its unfounded might.
