Children add charm to the house
A source of happiness and togetherness for spouse
Parents' love has no limit and end
It's always true,they never pretend
The love is equal for one and all
Whether big,Whether small
All are dearest, without doubt
It's the affection, all about
Those who need attention more
Feel neglected to the core
He who is loved more
Is weak and timid,for sure
For the parent, all are equal
Love and care, are same as sequel
Which one do you love more?
One may ask,amongst the four
It's a question, obvious for a parent
If one feels, the love is apparent
Parents' love has no boundary
It's always equal, all and sundry
Parents' love is always a blessing
It's genuine, that goes without saying...
Pretend
We pretend thats what we do
We pretend you never hurt me
We pretend i never left
Pretend there's more to our
Relationship than all the shots
We've missed. So we kiss
each other senseless
Because we have no senses left
We wish so badly this could go
Back to normal this is all like
a moving train passing through
Never stopping at the place
You need to get off at.
But i will savor the moment
Here with you now, because i am
Just so tired of being sad
Of having to pretend i am okay
Without you.
So we pretend we don't think
About the things we did to each other
Pretend we'll be okay.
Maybe one day we'll pretend so
hard we will be.
When the world gets too heavy and dark,
The weight of the whole world on my back,
I suit up with my gears and then,
Fly away on my wings of pretend.
On those magical wings I can travel far,
Over treetops and mountains to a distant star,
I fly past Jupiter to where I’ve dreamt,
On my magical wings of pretend.
No gravity holds me, no borders can bind,
I leave every worry and shadow behind,
To the edge of the cosmos where galaxies blend,
I soar on my breathtaking wings of pretend.
The stars are my guides through the deep cosmic sea,
Where I am as free as I've wanted to be,
With broken-down rules that I never will mend,
I coast on my fearless wings of pretend.
But when I return to the earth down below,
I keep a small spark of that heavenly glow,
For I know I can always escape and ascend, the moment I spread my wings of pretend.
Why do you cry at small stuff?
How can you do this common thing so rough?
Stay silent everything is not to be told,
You just learn to stay bold.
Isn't it unfair that we have to pretend to be normal?
It's not always that we have to look formal.
Sometimes we have to show the side that is hidden,
Is keeping everything in heart somewhere written.
It's okay to burst out into tears ,
Don't ever feel the pressure by your peers.
It's okay to mistakenly sometimes do wrong task,
It shows your courage to properly ask.
Then why do we ask everybody to be normal and pretend to be glad?
Showing sadness is not at all bad,
It's a common attribute for a human that is earned,
Being NORMAL is a lie that we have always learnt.
So much to say but silence I choose
The friendship I hate but can’t bear to lose
Lock my heart away or a fading smile I face
I close the gates
The choice is easy
Though I feel a knife twisting, not a key
Lord help my soul, I am just a friend
A friend all too good at play pretend
Tattered with taped corners, the teen's sagging
shoebox holds heavy doorknob swagger.
Seen outside when four while playing princess,
to her the antique knobs were jewels.
Rays of purples, black and clear orbs, beams
of gold-brass and blues dart in sun's magic.
The teen daydreams of her someday love and
their shared, 'boxed' fate to make doorknob art.

My what a lovely presentation ~
colourful welcoming smiles and delights.
You are a beautiful piñata,
a party on the outside,
chock full of surprises inside.
An alluring shell so inviting.
Don’t crack it open you’ll be alright.
Contents are anything but pretty.
I was happy living with the illusion
but now that I know what’s inside
I find the exterior not so appealing.
I can’t unknow what I now know.
Nonetheless let the party continue.
Let the piñata sway in the sun,
no way I want to burst that open.
Still it brings me reminiscings of happiness
to see the beauty that once was.

I run in circles all day long
doing a heap of chores and
getting things done
but I'll tell you what I truly find exhausting.
It's the waiting and not knowing,
it sets me back and slows me down.
It frustrates me to the bitter end.
Instead of multitasking
I end up multimasking
juggling and pretending
to be the patient person
that I'm really not.

i feel so stupid
i actually believed you loved me
i believed every lie
how could i know it wasn't true?
it all seemed so real
the smiles, the laughs
every time you were there for me
how much of it was fake?
i forget you're an actor
and you're really good at it too
you can easily play any role you're given
it makes sense you could pretend to love me
you have me on your strings
they're on my limbs
controlling my every move
holding on so tight
i can't break free
i'm like your puppet in a way
i do what you want me to do
i act how you want me to act
it's like i'm wearing a mask but
i'm hiding all your truths underneath it
i know you so well
better than you know
yet it's like i don't know you at all
i would've never expected this from you
i changed when i found out the lies
i've never been able to look at you the same
i question everything you say and do
but i didn't change to you
i stayed the same
pretended i didn't know
because i think you forget
i'm an actor too
She pretends it’s no big deal
She wants to speak, you know
Just trivial things, no big reveal
But today is a day to tiptoe
He pretends she’s no good anyway
She’s really just too much though
She is a silly goose every day
But today is a day to tiptoe
She pretends to be just friends
Although this crush just won’t go
She senses his shifts and trends
So she knows today is a day to tiptoe
He pretends nothing should be said
As though his feelings shouldn’t show
For him it is safer to tread
So he knows today is a day to tiptoe
She pretends that his handsome face
Doesn’t affect her at the show
She shoves it down with a little grace
For today is a day to tiptoe
He pretends it is better to be without
Affairs of the heart just cause woe
Being busy is a much safer route
For today is a day to tiptoe
they pretend they are friends
no one buys this weird façade
they were the worst married couple ever
they were not even close when they were dating
why they got married is unknown to any of us
they pretend they are friends
when they would be much better off
avoiding and ignoring each other
why the façade?
None of us can guess.
DEAR FRIEND,
THE END IN FRIEND HITS THE DEEP END,
THE SHADOW I USED TO DEFEND,
AT PRESENT I HAVE NONE TO DEPEND,
ITS AS IF ALL YOU DID WAS PRETEND.
DEAR FRIEND,
WITH THE SHADOWS OF YOU I SPENT,
ALL YOU LEFT WAS A PAINFUL DENT,
CURRENTLY ALL I CAN DO IS VENT,
LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO SERPENT.
DEAR FRIEND,
I NOW HAVE NO TEARS LEFT TO CRY,
YOU HAVE LET MY FEELINGS DIE,
YOU WERE NEVER TRUTHFUL TO ME, YOU LIE!,
I HAD TO WAVE YOU GOODBYE
DEAR FRIEND,
I THANK YOU FOR ONE THING,
FOR TEACHING ME FRIENDSHIP CAN STING,
I AM THE ONE I HAVE TO CLING,
GRATEFUL YOU'RE NOT HERE THIS SPRING.

Pretend
I gave you all of me,
But you counted only what you liked.
You held my hand,
But never held my heart right.
I poured in 100% love,
You drank just enough to stay,
70% maybe
But I kept acting like that was okay.
We were photos with filters,
Smiles stitched on pain,
A play that fooled the crowd
But drained us behind the frame.
I pretended this was enough,
Like pretending could turn hollow into whole.
Like silence could save
What had already leaked through the soul.
So here’s my goodbye without rage,
Just a heart that learned too late
Love shouldn’t feel like guessing
Or shrink to fit someone else’s plate.
From beneath a veil,
A shroud itself hidden,
Anonymity It's masquerade.
Tired secrets languish,
Benighted by nature,
Emerald, to pale green and white, from jade.
A sough in the head,
Of their tepid maker,
Whispers nothing, wholly unaware.
Crafty camouflage,
For the crafter of secrets,
Who never knew they were there.
The irony aroma,
Stagnant blood without pressure,
Metallic, unmoved, unaffected.
Averse to sense,
Illusory marionette's,
Clear strings, turbid skeins undetected.
And the irony lies,
With an off thirst disguised,
By the growing pines of set minds thought unique.
And as trite as the urges,
Desperate purges,
Like mewls of the sheep seeking shade from critique.
