70 percent Love, 100 percent Pretend

I gave you all of me, But you counted only what you liked. You held my hand, But never held my heart right. I poured in 100% love, You drank just enough to stay, 70% maybe— But I kept acting like that was okay. We were photos with filters, Smiles stitched on pain, A play that fooled the crowd But drained us behind the frame. I pretended this was enough, Like pretending could turn hollow into whole. Like silence could save What had already leaked through the soul. So here’s my goodbye without rage, Just a heart that learned too late— Love shouldn’t feel like guessing Or shrink to fit someone else’s plate.
