                The closer we became
                    the scareder I’d become

                 Inflicting pain
                    with the slightest look
                 No remedy in any book

                  One missed beat
a day, a night go by
                   Snarl at the other guy

                  Pause now in the dark
~ life is meant to be a lark

I asked the bird
about his philosophy.
In bird talk he replied, flying, bath
crapping, tweets his lyrical singing....

I asked the alligator:
lots of teeth, swimming,
attacking, cute little bubbles....

I asked the man and woman --
Romeo and Juliet, intense romanticism
sometimes leading to murder --

I thought to ask the politician, God said, don't
bother: double speak, crapping on everyone, lots of teeth, fake tweets,
attacking all critics, alleged criminality, doubtful an honest cell remaining
in his or
her, its entire body.

Options

The world is sweet and sour
sometimes all lemons, as with
cracked eggs we make do.
Besides, omelets are quite
nutritious, the cat's meow
mixed with ham and some cheese
delightful compromises. What
I am getting at is, we are a
varied species of different tastes
and points of view, satisfying
options. Billions by last count.
Insects and politicians never my
first choice.

press briefing sonnet

Press briefing sonnet

A journalist walked into an embassy
where he was killed, stripped naked, and
liquified washed into the sea that is
inviting at that time of the year
The one who gave the order is a dear guest
in the White House
In a city where thousands of homeless
People live in a painting by Gustave Klimt
was sold for millions, art made into
commodity, packed away for no one to
See before it is resold

Military Identification and Press Powers

In office
Elected or otherwise
A civilian relinquishing of identity
This avows testimony under oath taken
And given
Before congress
Before Senate, may interupt
Thus preserving liberty
In the chain of command.

In this arch
Alcove
Viewing public time
Is observed
Per the general Assembly instructions of france

All land masses on earth

Trump's been awarded

BUT which seven wars!

The Act

Never start something and not finish what you started, unless you can't.

Many and first as witness to Presidential crimes

Your experience in today
Change is not to be brought forth
Journal and starvation are framed
One mustn't and must speak
Afforded
The free press is after force of entry
Into location as advertised

"presidential crimes"
Can't is military discipline
Poverty is defined as can't
The United States can't unite
A document of a dollar in the poverty
The war is lost

Livin like I'm on the streets
Kuz I'm just too beat
My life never been sweet
Been a rough f*kn road since day one
Can't even pretend this is fun
This run is way over done
But the double yellow lines & no shoulder
Got me stuck in this lane
It's f*kn lame
I dream about boring and plain
Begging for a change
Just crossed that fine line
Between ok & insane
Is it really trying if I don't really try?
Just complain & cry & ask God why?
No effort put into it..
...one day I'll quit..
.....maybe

The press

The press is filled with gossip and chatter,
Like frogs and scorpions trapped in a bottle.
People have shrunk, it seems, in the end,
Boasting and bragging, but what does it mend?

The press spreads news with a calculating mind,
I’m stunned by the senseless gossip I find.
Some say they care for the nation's plight,
When they lay in bed, with husband and wife.

Digging for tales from deep underground,
Copying rumors, spreading them all around.
What someone eats or the clothes they wear,
Why does it matter? Does anyone care?

Why do we focus on parties and feasts,
When sacred treasures are starving at least?
Mainstream channels, they push their design,
To keep us distracted, to make us blind.

Is it the time, or have we grown old,
What values do we teach, what stories are told?
Fed by rumors, lies, and deceit,
A devil’s growth in our minds takes its seat.

Press It To Your Heart

Open thy heart
             claim the feather
                       of peace that is floating,
swirling down
                    towards your open palm:
              "WHEN IT LANDS,"
Feel the sensations that arise
as you
                      caress it,
                                     gently:
Perhaps its a spiritual hug
from an Angel who wants to,
                     love you !
Close your fingers round it
                  press it to your heart
                      and say,
                                          AMEN !
