Premium Member when will we get presents

Santa cow and her sidekick Dairy Delight
Stomped over to the fence with eyes so bright
They were each wearing a fluffy Santa hat
I did not know what to make of that

We are ready to deliver the presents Santa Cow said
Was she daft? Crazy? Nuts? Had she been dropped on her head?
But Santa does that, doesn’t he? I said to her in a whispery way
Not to this dairy farm, he doesn’t honey, she said, sassy that day

It is always us, Dairy Delight said, so where are the gifts?
The elf has them but he has been thrown into snow drifts
When will we get them? I felt pressured right now.
As soon as I dig him out, I told Miss Santa Cow.

Premium Member presents or books

librarian did not know whether to give presents or books by the dozen
why not give some presents and books? asked her cousin
This made sense, so she began to make lists and pile presents about.
She spent two months and nine days sorting them all out.

While standing on the shoulders of giants
If quoting them becomes our reliance
These presents of mind
Can leave a soul blind
Leaving presence of mind to defy us

Premium Member My Presence

On reaching almost eighty,in a position one should be
well endowed with wisdom to pass to generations following behind
There have been so many changes in nearly eight decades of life
that detrimentally affect humankind

Material possessions offered as a gift provide such artificial pleasure,
divert attention from the necessary skills to survive
My presence with the "grandies" when they come here for a visit, walk them in the orchard
talk about flowers seeds and fruit, discuss so many details of how to stay alive

Read a simple story, teach a simple guitar chord or two
some relaxing body massage to help them get through

Cut some stalks of sugar cane for the juice, which they love to suck
Just be there for them whenever they are stuck

And often just to listen as they walk a thorny path, shed a tiny tear
Someone to guide them, to help quell their fear

Intangible moments share each others pleasures, filled with love and joy
Provide long lasting memories from when one was a girl or boy

So when there are birthdays or xmas and they hand out lots of presents
they know there will be none from grandpa, his presents are his presence

Hibernation of Christmas

Festive firs are tumbling
bare of coloured glory.
Needles and fronds carpet
halls grey with silence;
carolling a distant joy.
Gifts rest in hibernation;
wingèd figurines lie swathed
beneath a glittered duvet
of prized iridescent tissues
adorning a winter casket
keeper of twelve days
festooned in priceless reverie.

Crib

On the first day of Christmas
'twas a silent night 'neath yonder star
(while shepherds watched their flocks)
when three Wise Men traversed afar
to view a new-born child
as in a fairy tale storybook fable
(away in a manger)
ensconced in a stable
all the while bearing gifts
yet although a total stranger
they did leave him their presents
under the tree where they belong
(there in Bethlehem)
but before departing they sang this song...
'Happy birthday to you
happy birthday to you
happy birthday dear Jesus
happy birthday to you'

Premium Member A Christmas Table Spread

A Christmas Table Spread

The table spread appears Christmassy
I’ve been working tirelessly, busy as a bee
My market list consists of garlic garlands and saffron
Other wild spices and cream for flan
Alaskan salmon, cranberry for ruby glaze
Fried zucchini and tangerine yams ablaze.
We start with specialty coffee and warm pineapple tamale’s
Displayed are red berries and shiny evergreen-leaf holly’s
Silver bells, gifts and holiday cards,
lit candles and gold ribbon by the yards.
Soon we’ll gather with our family and friends
And if necessary, we’ll make amends
Although it’s not a white Christmas
I know it’s genuinely spirited alas—
when the children laugh and run
I did the math, we’re all just having fun.

Wishing all…
Christmas Cheers and Happy New Year!

Christmas 2025

Christmas 2025
2025.12.25
Monkey, monkey sits on the desk,
Do you witness him still surfing on the internet.
Ask him out to get some sun light,
Walk on the beach or wade in the sea.
There are so many things to see.
Broaden his mind and enjoy the sunshine.

This Christmas, the presents
Were much less than last year
Not because of being stingy,
Or love him less than what was used to be.
It was purely because ......

Strangely this year,
There was no Christmas lights,
Decorated in front of his house.
What has happened to him,
No celebration nor decoration?

Did he know that,
Everyday for the past six months,
His favourite song was the first
And the last piece of music
I play at the piano.

He was the person who introduced me,
To the world of music and encourage me to play,
Yet, he never knew nor had a chance to hear
What I play everyday.
Faith, that was all about faith.
Merry Christmas and Happy New my dear.
Good bye and good luck to you.

Premium Member DAILY GRATITUDE OPENING PRESENTS

I am grateful before I ever blow a candle
or open a present
for being blessed
to take a moment to remember
all the wonders I already possess

Premium Member Presence in the Presents

I have the power to go back
To Christmases lost in shellack
With gifts bought for a song
In times long since gone
And treasures stuffed into a sack

From 1935 Monopoly’s price
It was certainly more than just nice
A doll from the Romans
(When silver coins, uncommon)
Squeezing a penny in a vice

As 1808 is in hindsight
An automobile roared into sight
François de Rivaz
Would surely advise
That history’s gifts not be a blight

Christmas dinner in 1908
You could buy one and a sixth plate
For a five-dollar sum
We’d feed our minds and tum-tum
A story that never goes out of date

But the truest Gift is unchanged
Through centuries often estranged
The price has been paid
On Jesus was laid
His love cannot be exchanged

So, travel in reverie, go back in memory
In the presence of the presents and see
The faces, in every year
The Spirit gathers us near
To open His Presence by the Christmas tree

Old Fashion Christmas

I want an old fashion Christmas
Like the ones from yesterday
Where families make memories
That no one can ever take away.

The smell of fresh baked cookies
Drifting throughout the house
As Christmas carols jingle
Louder than the sound of a mouse.

Where decorations are handed down
Throughout the many years
From generation to generation
With stories that bring us to tears.

Where Christmas trees smell like pine
And Santa is still very real
And the true meaning of Christmas
Is only something you can feel.

A horse drawn sleigh ride
Bells jingling all the way
Snowflakes dancing to the ground
In a hypnotic sort of way.

I want an old fashion Christmas
Like the ones from yesterday
Where kids still hang their stockings
And Merry Christmas is still what people say.

Where children's eyes shine
At the Christmas lights all around
And laughter and joy
Are truly a blessed sound.

Where homemade gifts
Still come
From the hands and the heart
And family gatherings
Are still the biggest part.

Christmas Vibes

Morning sun
Out of bed, now I run
Down the hall, to the tree.
                         standing tall

          Gleaming stars with lights shine
                   and beautifully fall
         Presents underneath with tight
                 bows both big and small

Smiles bright and cheerful hearts a
                                glow
We can play in the snow
                         As joy grows

A Secret Kept

The flowers that so lovingly you held
And savored for some moment with closed eyes;
The sweets that from their wrappers you unshelled,
For which you gave a kiss to be my prize;
The necklace with a pretty pendant thing
Which on your slender neck you proudly hung;
The ring that on your finger now does cling
And much delighted you had almost sung.
The smiles so innocent and joyful arms
That welcomed me when I came to your house--
Oh, you did win me over with your charms,
But it’s not you I wanted to espouse:
You thought the presents were all meant for you,
But ‘twas your sister I desired to woo.

the prophet muhammad presents the knee-highers

The knee-higher
feelings that are displayed are not feelings but atoms; the subatomic part being that its heart, this knee-higher, is located in the mind or the dexterous venders and ventures of reading and writing personal stories of literature. The knee-higher is only an apparition, a thought placed into the minds of Man, of what its seemingly harmless, innocent veering thought of making a peanut butter sandwich can leading to global hunger or a Holocaust.
oh, vay, it be man that hold THIS fires, this knee-higher, of silken flesh and bone, being only a phantom of the Dream, and a warrior of Ruin to behold...!

His narcissism’s off the charts
Only psychos say he’s got smarts
This china shop bull
Sells shopping carts full
Of shlock from his rear-facing parts
