Christmas wishes

2024.12.24 Christmas Eve.
Dear Santa, 
I admit, I have been naughty this year,
Still, here is my wish list.
A train set to keep my heart closer to my father.
A cleanable white board to Live Chat with my mother.
A battery operated sound box,
Which can record and say my word every time I want it.
Some metal boxes to keep

Christmas

Candy canes with red swirls.
Hollies strung across the fireplace.
Ring-a-ling, go jingle bells from carolers.
Ice skating with your friends.
Saint Nick gives you presents to open on Christmas Day.
Tinsel wrapped around the tree.
Mothers making sweet treats.
A cookie for Santa, and carrots for his reindeer.
Santa climbing up and down chimneys,, delivering presents.

Maybe with a toy truck for Jimmy.
A doll for baby Bea,
A grand piano for me,
And a makeup kit for Sydney!

 Dear Santa, it’s Looby Loo, I’m still here
It’s a miracle, have been ill all year
I don’t want you to forget to stop by
As this old gal would then break down and cry.  

I need decent bloomers, mine are in holes
And us oldies truly do feel the cold
A box of curlers, the soft spongy

Wrapping Presents

When it comes to wrapping presents,
I am really not that good.
The edges aren’t neat and don’t
Lie flat the way they should.

The paper that I use, though,
Is quite festive, to distract
From all the perfect extras
That my presentation lacked.

And if I have a lot to wrap,
My efforts just get worse,
Though fortunately, the receivers
Cannot hear me curse.

It’s Not About the Presents

Most think of the presents,
Beneath a gold edged pine
Some think of all the events,
Christmas dishes so divine
Many think of what it represents
But this is the bottom line…

God came down from heaven above
To pour out His grace across a lonely earth
Remind heavy hearts that there is peace and love
Forgive our souls and remind us what is

WHEN SANTA CAME TO BENARTY
Santa came to Benarty
One cold and stormy night
The snow and clouds that gathered
Made Santa ground his flight.

He landed behind the graveyard
In Dallas Doyle Park,
He came down with such a loud crash
He made a few dogs bark.

The snow was really heavy
As he grabbed his sack of toys,
I`ll have to deliver on foot

I JUST CANT WAIT TILL CHRISTMAS

I just can’t wait till Christmas

With thoughts of ice and snow
And Santa in his bright red suit
Shouting ho ho ho.

Flying with his reindeer
With presents on his sleigh
Delivering them all by midnight
For us on Christmas day.

We put lights and bobbles on the tree
We do it every year

Oh how we miss you
Especially this time of year
Christmas was your favorite holiday
The time for Christmas cheer

It wasn't all about the gifts for you
Although you loved them just the same
Family visits, Christmas lights and music
Always held the

Chairs together at a table,
High adrenaline for few days.
Ready for sharing a moment,
Ideal to be with the family.
Sadness is well disguised
Tactfully served with turkey.
Memories are shared to talk
About nothing in particular.
Surprise me with the presents.
