Arthur, thanks for the return! I find it hard to look at an image of D.T. online or on TV without becoming nauseated. His body language reveals all, but many are just unable to decipher it. I just can't understand it as it seems so obvious to me. As the narcissist in chief, he has a psychotic need to control everything and make everyone come to him begging. This doesn't end well.

Nette, his thinking is definitely "behind." We're getting feedback from people in government here that they are receiving threats and are scared to stand up for what's right. This is a time that calls for courage. Smiles!!

SP, sounds like you get it exactly. What we see going on gets stranger each day. It's unfortunate it will likely damage our economy rather than fix the issues we have. Short term bullying never really fixes the underlying causes, but is a simpleton's way of trying to deal with the complex.

John, you're on target. Having an actual thought out plan would require some work and might interfere with our King's golf game and whatever else he occupies himself with. I hesitate to speculate what it might be, but I bet it's disgusting.

IE, your point is well made. I feel sorry for him too, and I sometimes think I might overdo it a bit. If the opportunity arises, I will try to provide some guidance to the king. I certainly bare him no personal malice or difficulty. However, he is bringing a lot of destruction to this world and he should stop doing that. You're a very sweet person to say what you did here. He has some mental problems that need to be addressed at some point. It would be a shame if they never are.

Lin, I think your analysis is spot on! Tariffs like these are the sort of thing that begins a war. Hopefully that will not happen. This is not going to be pretty. Not at all. He's probably thinking Xi will back down, but that may not happen. This will likely create some problems for us all on a number of fronts, but we're not part of the calculation here. I think he has a few consitituencies. The men who emulate bullying and see it as power they'd like to exert, the religious fans who will tolerate anything to stop reproductive choice, independents turned off by woke democrats, and the very rich billionaire elites. I think the tariffs are causing some concern among the last two groups. He had to retract much of it for now because he started to see some serious opposition from the billionaires.
