Young Widow

I’ve sold winter coldness to those who’re huge in their chests oncorners of these abandoned streets, where bars aren’t happy with myfootprints in front of every door. Where I hit myself at close range. Where I pay a price to win no game. However, she’s worked all her lifeto bring up all her children within this magical world of theatre & music. She’s convinced that these children won’t fail to understand & accept opera& early rehearsals. I'm bedridden waiting. Welcome to a pigheaded house. Welcometo your fate that befalls many emigrants you plant like beets beside the beetleto see new growth. Welcome to where you don’t fancy a beer before bier afterthe funeral. Something is bedraggled from the hedgerow & that’s your ex’sspecial brand. However, the twigs are dry & brittle, & cracked beneaththeir feet from the beginning. Her children are looking for more spaciouspremises after that premeditated murder in a blighted area where I prescribe hera daily diet chart.

Quack

If an apple a day
keeps the doctor away
to such proverb
he'd not subscribe
as the income lost
to defray his cost
foolish he would ascribe
and instead
if looking sickly feeling ill
on my deathbed
a home visit plus pill
he'd quickly prescribe
as a patient I used to be
but now a customer that is me
and the Hippocratic Oath
he ducks like a quack
as to quote it he is quite loath

Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself."
                                              ~ Khalil Gibran

If words of my fortune cookie were by Confucius written,
he must have been deeply in love and completely smitten
to know the taste of it is as sweet as pollen to the bees
and as beautiful as Springtime buds blooming on trees.

Each happy tear that falls is ambrosia upon my tongue
The suckle of his lips is worthy of a love song to be sung
Honeyed kisses, more succulent than a flower's nectar
and I am the fortunate one for being his chosen collector.

The good fortune in life is beyond all means of measure
As a musician's inspiration brings him a source of pleasure,
so does the heart find its nourishment in the revelation
that passion is the drink that fills love's need for libation.

Fruit of the vine is not the only choice in which lovers imbibe.
The taste of honeyed kisses is the ale that I would prescribe.

filled by complaint

the home was taught
in form as passing custom
to hide is freedom
from a sight not allowed to begin
protected from cinders town
escaped to preserve brown
a coastal expanse
blinding beauty
remaking lords
from dukes and blow
grandmothers quakes
learning by instruction
how to blend
defend and die
prescribe and imbibe
adjust and join
dive and dive
destroy your remains
and bridges as news escaped home
awakenings blame
prides failing regret
astride regrets wings
bring home the pens
quill and brow
be fearful of when
you, when is your new name

physician

Dressed up like a physicians..
Full of doubt and suspicions..
Heart harder than stone ..
Don't care if you die sick and alone..
They treat all ..
Cancer or headache with Panadol..
Don't know the right medication ..
They prescribe aspirin for fornication ..

Premium Member time to see an expert

my husband asked if I was going on a date
Because I am not wearing a nightie or pajamas
I am going to Urgent Care, remember? I say in a snotty voice.
His brilliant idea of asking a pharmacist to prescribe something
did not work for me.
I have already gone the route of inefficiency for three days.
Time to see an expert
Even if it means wearing clothes.

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life.
The word is love.”Sophocles, Greek Poet
Love’s a feeling difficult to describe
It’s the loving potion angels prescribe
From the start love’s a perpetual vibe
Etching on one’s heart a charming inscribe.

Love’s the melody sung within one’s soul
A lifetimes supernal leisurely stroll
It’s having someone who’s there to console
When in need of being made to feel whole
Love grows lovelier as the years evolve
Affirmation to love’s glory extol
As love is life’s most ineffable role
Aim for love to be life’s ultimate goal.

True love can never be put asunder
Nothing on earth could disturb love's thunder.

Premium Member My Love

Waking to your touch, I feel so blessed, such bliss
This is wonderful that I once dreamed about
Nothing feels quite as perfect as your sweet kiss

Because I know you’re mine, I will never doubt
This is love so alive, it feels earthshaking
Awesome love so fine, knowing I won’t burnout

These feelings, like fine art, are just breathtaking
Nothing on earth feels as much like gentle grace
Where you are, that is where my smile is waking

Thanks to you, I know joy that pain can’t erase
You give me more love than my words can describe
There is gentle I can’t explain on your face

I haven’t a doubt, you’re what my heart did prescribe
When I found you, there’s love the soul does inscribe

Premium Member Listen

Listen to the One who guides believers home
Scripture reveals, the gospel truth, in hearers
Hearts who receive Him, believing, will not roam

Heed Jesus, so gentle, echoed in mirrors
Reflecting love more perfect than I’ll describe
Reach beyond the disbelieving, soul smearers

Listen to hearts who sweetest faith does inscribe
Swaying like the leaves of autumn, calming souls
A cure stronger than a doctor could prescribe

The gospel invites each heart to meet its goals
With the promise of salvation through God’s grace
He aches to destroy sin and always consoles

Listen to the One who offers His embrace
Love like this, nothing in the world can erase

Premium Member How Many More Peace Keepers

Time marches on but the story doesn't change.
Innocent lives being taken by a person whose deranged..
Last weekend in Pa. it was our state police, one is still
critical, and the other is now deceased..
The unstable shooter is also now gone.
Will this ever stop? What keeps going so wrong?
This tragic story truly rings home for me.
I had a person with mental health struggles in my family.
Psychiatrists rely on the pharmaceutical industry and
prescribe new medications that alter patients' brain chemistry.
Family members are often leery to commit, because our mental
hospitals discharge the patient still unfit, and they are left to
deal with the brunt of it.
At home, these families struggle to keep things in control.
Many times that stress alone will take a major toll.
How many more peacekeepers?
How many more innocent lives is our society willing to sacrifice?

Voices

I can hear them all talking, the shadows on the wall,
I can see them all walking, up and down the hall.
The voices in my head talk about me a lot,
Saying negative things leaving me completely distraught.
I've sought out help, so it's pills my doctors prescribe,
Pill after pill I swallow, yet I still can not describe what then comes to follow.
Every day, without a doubt,
I hear these voices scream and shout.
Everywhere I go, no matter what I do,
The voices are talking to me , not to you.
No one else hears what these voices chatter in my brain,
I can not take this much longer, I am going insane.
I feel it's happening and I'm going to Crack,
All I want is my sanity back.

Premium Member Let

Let politicians claim virtue,
and abandon honest men.

Let the poor inherit promises,
and be comfortable servants.

Let the famous enjoy advantage,
and carry no favors in heaven.

Let physicians prescribe hope,
and a worthy price be paid.

Let education forge solutions,
and notorious liars lose favor.

Let simple humanity be rewarded,
and tyranny reap the sorrow of death.

Peace

Dear God,
Thank You Father for Your Peace.

Dear World,
I don’t pray for world peace, I pray for God’s peace for the world.
His peace brings calmness, simplicity and patience in your life. God’s peace is an insurmountable peace that this world cannot give you.

John 14 vs. 27 (NKJV) says - Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Philippians 4 vs. 7 (NKJV) says - and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

For THIS peace, you cannot walk in Walgreens or Walmart and say, “Excuse me, what aisle is your peace on?
The doctor can’t prescribe you peace. The pharmacist can’t bottle it up. You can’t cook it or drink it. There is no farm or field that grows it. No amount of money you have can buy it. Amazon doesn’t sell it, nor will Fed Ex deliver it. It’s not for sale, so there’s no Black Friday sale for it.

Nowhere can you get THIS peace but through our Lord and Savior.

Thank You Father for blessing my mind, body and soul with Your peace.

May the peace of the Lord be with you always.
