To my complacent Ms. Crane

I am at odds my love, your comely visage has my heart rend. I struggle somewhere betwixt carnality and a fervent want of your attention. Oh! Ms. Crane, I do so labor for your love. The muse runs foolhardy across every page, and on stage I act the jester just to catch a glimpse of that sweet Southern smile. I do so aspire to taste the nectar of your kiss. All this time apart has my heart yearning, even imploring your touch. I beseech your name to stop the tribulation, to ease the travailing of my heart. My belle I don't say these things in comfort, I adamantly long for a union of our souls, and a harmony played on our heartstrings. As God is my witness, love is our destination, however our journey begins with us. I query of your heart oh misfortuned women, what perplexes your heart? What clutters your mind's thoughts? Is it I? My only desire is your happiness. I too, see happiness as my endeavor. So this leaves us at a crossroad. Shall we be a blessed union, or do we wander trodden thoroughfare?

Preemptively yours
Michael

A papoose with a twin is papooses,
Double goose and get geese, but not gooses.
Pluralizing perplexes me,
Aggravates me, and vexes me,
And I suspect that it checks my creative juices.

They once did a study that perplexes,
Making sure to sample both the sexes.
The av'rage sir or madam,
The stats declare each had 'em
One boob, one nut - a result that vexes.

I know not why this path I’m on
perplexes so before the dawn.

But treading forth, one truth is known -
that God sits firmly on the throne.

For in his great and wise design,
how well He knows this pain of mine;

that searing grief of bitter loss -
for Christ, His Son died on the cross.

We know all things he’ll work toward
the good of those who love the Lord -

the very ones he calls his own,
who worship him upon his throne.

At the heels of a blessed consequence, spurs unpredictable fervency that is extremely engrossing, it perplexes conscionable determinations, concerning exhausting heydays of a celebratory stretch, that radiates from an unfathomable receptacle, wherever, wrapped gifts stead itself in anticipatory sensation, to collect and concentrate, then it will undividedly precede, o'er a decisive menacing expectant eve, plus, simultaneously surrender joyously, amidst an agreeable, explosive, color-filled night sky finale.

calendrical charms
thoughtless and thoughtful gifts coaxed
colorful glowed eve

West Texas Christmas Eve

'Twas the night before Christmas,
And the sand was fair blowin'.
So old Santa set 'er down
To see where he was goin'.

I saw him in my headlights -
A forlorn lookin' old cuss.
His sleigh runners were buried,
And the reindeer in a fuss.

I said, "Howdy", scratched my head.
He said "This must be Texas -
I recognize this damn sand,
And it always perplexes."

I said,"I can pull you out,
Or we can go have a beer".
He said,"Well, out is better.
I have to think of the deer."

I pulled him out, waved "so long".
Went on my way not thinkin' -
Never told about Saint Nick,
Folks knew that I'd been drinkin'.

But ev'ry year 'neath my tree
I find a six pack or so,
Wrapped in ribbon with this note -
"Thank you, my friend, for the tow!"

Premium MemberConfounded Confused and Perplexed

I am confounded, confused, truly perplexed
By people who are selfish and mean.
Were they abandoned in bathroom stalls?
Did they have to survive on a cold tile floor?
Was their world so cruel that they think only of themselves?

I am confounded, confused, truly perplexed
By people who are bossy and belligerent.
Do they think this is the way to influence you?
To make you a friend? To straighten you out?
Why is their way the only way?
Were they raised by alcoholics? Not able to change their sad childhoods?

I am confounded, confused, truly perplexed
By people who are perpetually angry and grouchy.
Do they never find their bliss? Do they frighten away their soul mates?
Do they not know that sadness is at the root of their anger?
Why do they not reach out for help? Do they trust no one?
Were they raised in houses where mothers held I-pads instead of them?

I am confounded, confused, truly perplexed by depression,
Anxiety, and grief. These feelings are terrifying for me. I am
An empath, so I have to stay away from these feelings. I hope
You understand. If my empathy perplexes you, I get it.

Premium MemberIn a Pickle

Seems to me, we're in quite of a pickle,
Our leaders do all that they can
To grab power, that's all! Men are fickle
At best, rarely honor God's plan.

What a joke! How to love one another?
You're you! So how can I be safe?
"Lock you up!" There's no way you're my brother!
The thought that you're free makes me chafe!

You're not me! Dear God! How that perplexes?
To pray for your death one recourse.
But to put you in prison costs taxes!
'You and I?' Cart's worth more than a horse?

Noodles and Cream

people who drop rubbish are so very very ignorant aren't they? BIN BAN BOOSH NOODLES AND CREAM.

Oh a lethargic tidal wave. Atomic power of circumference but dormant, hibernating, and still. But placing pineapple ears that stick up in triangular styles is not very fitting really as one should only use round shaped ears of peach due to the sheer fact that the ear lobe would be more appeasing to the wide girth of the trashed out portly container. Containers are neither carriers nor cartons and cartons carbonise so never attempt a wibble wobble jelly dance with eighteen trees and a silvery eyed gooseberry. Giant grabbing garters getting grateful gears. And the sole duty of a perpetual perplexes pink pointing polecat is to pinch proper placed plates pedantically. Semantic swans then. Ha. Xxxxx mythologized z z z z z at thirty four duvet covers writing notes to the mattresses to six fully plumped up pillows wiggling. Z astronomical.

Premium MemberMy Girl, I Haven'T Met

The way she looked at me when she wasn’t looking made me look at life in a whole new perspective

As my eyes looked at her perplexes

Knowing what is missing is my pieces

We are a beautiful puzzle because it just took a couple pieces to see the whole thing

You were a puzzle to them because they only looked at the missing piece that I had but had not had the pleasure of placing in your heart yet

The way her eyes looked at me while she looked the other way told me she was all I needed

Because without you I don’t know where to stare

The way I looked cool as if I had all the answers knowing my only answer is you

p.s. still I pray for her…

Love and Loss

Is it better to have loved and lost
Then to have never loved at all
The question still perplexes me
For I've taken the fall

A broken heart might mend in time
Or go on feeling blue
How are pieces gotten back
That still remain with you

The voids are filled with hardened thoughts
That soon construct a wall
Whose boundary guards a grieving heart
With each one it grows tall

So to chip away at the wall
Will now take quite some time
Only trust, and truth, and heartfelt love
Can lead to its demise

Bunch of Bum Steers

Bunch of Bum Steers

Are you really a rowdy, rude Republican
Who do sin and for long time have been
And after I had heard this was realizing
Politicians like them had been despising.

Always worship selves and never God
And all are known to be a tight wad
To save money eat bagels without lox
Have heard they have holes in their sox.

There are things which we all went through
But when our ballot boxes were broken into
On ballots were no signs of any sexes
And ballots were actually marked with X's.

Voters in Texas sign all ballots with X's
What makes us made and always perplexes
When they are lying into a bar disappears
After giving of us a bunch of bum steers.

Premium MemberLexi Perplexes Me

There once was a paint brush, without hesitation,
was stretching the branches of color before me
Bold geometrics, artistic affections,
some which have tangled,
mixing the hues of
crimson and umber, which changes the view
from where I am standing, with such admiration

Wedged deep in my fancy
I'm drawn to a tree
Yet almost imagine, a deer looks at me
with antlers, or branches, which?,... I can't decide...
Is this a mixed message, once buried to hide?

A view of the simple, is better by far
becomes the exception
like reaching for stars

Different Perspective

Check the perspective it's less than what you expected it flexes blesses
and perplexes it's method is in the will to be accepted. It's destined to be
tested by the mind and it's substances digested little doubts overtime
that have been ingested people sharing truths that can never be detested
yet we stick to routine and never learn our lesson getting outside all that
that's my new obsession the question remains inside this simple session
left alone in the dark the dark thoughts start possessing still it's new
perspective that's interesting it's for the detecting inspecting new
horizons ideas for progressing can never be perfected and will always
keep you guessing a strange new urge an itch a niche an addiction one
whole mile in a stranger shoes new compassion for afflictions if you do
not get in what I say then I suggest next time you listen
