Some gentle hearts,
Souls born to speak grace
Into the lives – some so meek
Some special notes,
Written by the spirits
Inspired by love – love so gentle
Some special people,
Hearts who love and give
Offering light so others can see…
The wonder of this blessing, this family

Premium MemberELEPHANTS

Intelligent
     are elephants,
          not negligent.

African herds
     are killed for tusks -
          cruelty loud heard.

Asian giants
     lost habitat
          to growth tyrants.

Family styled,
     elephant hearts
          are love compiled.

Despite great strength
     they gently love
          their long-life length.

                                        Stop evil shoots,
                                        grant living space,
                                        and pray peace roots.

Premium MemberWars and Rumours

Wars and Rumours

“Wars, wars,
And rumours of Wars”,
Exactly what Jesus said.
“In the world today you will have tribulation,”
Exactly what Jesus said.

Close to the beginning
In the very first family
Cain killed Abel his brother
And so it has been ever since.

Despite God’s command
Love your neighbour as yourself,
On our own, God’s creatures
Cannot do that at all.

But through Jesus Christ,
Through his life and his death
Through his rising again
There is hope and there’s power.

We can live life in love
And peace through his Cross.
And no longer be lost
In these wars at such cost.

Premium MemberKindness

Let’s spare little kindness
To those we never know
Costs nothing to expand this
Some kind words need to go
“God bless you, peace, be free
Endure the bad, stay strong
I wish you and your family
The best, may you live long”
Let’s send these thoughts to strangers
No matter who they are
Not devils and not angels
Aren’t we quite similar?
And their response will find us
In their turn, kind words they’ll spare
Some never know it’s kindness
They need, right from the air.

Premium MemberAt the heart of family

Parents have a sacred responsibility.
Children need to be surrounded by harmony.
Adults, get your priorities straight.

Premium MemberWarmth Of Peace

The fireplace rests for now
 but embers still burn softlv
waiting for a family to gather
in it's own comfort --the laughter,
the musings, the prayers all said-
ready for others to share
evening's warmth and magic,

to tarry once again
for more lively life sounds ,
trailing in silence for life to renew
a ritual of gratitude and anticipation
on this fresh collage of night --
when the gloss of stars induces
a flame of PEACE among men, at home,
of closure in a time when the air
is vulnerable... even for a while
 as affection cuddles
 a holiday's past awakening.

Premium MemberSeeking Peace

Seeking Peace. Lyrics by Me

Sad eyes on a happy face
All alone, in a crowded place
Welcome to the other side
Of me

Money rich, but poor in spirit
Many ears, not one, could hear it
This is what my life has
To be

Rising up, while sinking further
Destined to be, my own Martyr
This is what my eyes, choose
To see

With wealth, fame, and family ties
Living an unending lie
I will end this, painful
Fantasy

Premium MemberOn Thanksgiving Day

I know I'm blessed
and have much to be thankful for
I've lived many happy decades
love and friendships along the way

I look around and see much strife
in many corners of the world
I appreciate the peace surrounding me
and all the luxuries not to be taken for granted

My heart bleeds to think not everyone
has peace of mind for their family
in war torn countries they fear for their safety
I pray for an era where conciliation will reign for all

Premium MemberFinding Peace

Facing my new reality can be overwhelming
I am blessed to be the mother of two sons
one of which is accomplishing great things
here on earth and the other is in heaven

I have always been proud of both of my sons,
and of course, I love them both no matter what,
but it is difficult knowing that my youngest chose
heaven instead of earth

Why is that? He was plagued by mental illness
on earth and now he is whole and at peace,
what mother wouldn't want that for their child?
Why is it causing such grief for all of us?

Because we are human, and God's ways are
sometimes hard to understand, but I am hearing him
as he tells me to "rest in me"
So, I will rest and trust and hope to eventually find peace

Premium MemberMr Calm, Cool and Collected

Pick on me. I stay calm
Insult my family. I stay cool
Hit me as hard as you dare.
                              I stay collected

Anger never does me any good
        Never solves a single problem
           My face turns crimson-red
and I make things worse instead

So, I've given up fiery outrage
for the countenance of a sage

Premium MemberNew Year - Old Wishes

Eons pass as our bright heavenly sphere
helps us count another year,
while wishes ascend like balloons
and are heard by a sorrowful moon:

To my child no harm will ever come,
to the toll of time I won't succumb,
that family and friends can too outrun
age, though dropping one by one;

that (s)he will love and accept me, for once,
for a remedy - the pain of love to blunt,
for health, happiness and lots of money,
that my future will always be sunny.

Mankind's hope will never cease
as every year we wish for peace.

Premium MemberChristmas

"A King deserves His full name~Christmas. Xmas is not good enough." By Poet
I love smelling the home-baked cookies, and eating all the wonderful goodies. The tree is decorated with balls and lights, beneath the nativity makes one look twice. The word "Xmas" makes me see red, it should be dead. The word is "Christmas" to be spread, do not be misled. To the king, gifts you can bring.

Premium MemberThe Turkey A L'Orange Is Ready

I'm neither talking about the turkey
Who’s running for President
Nor the one which is a country
Now embroiled
And roiled in turmoil
I am talking about the huge pheasant
That we all like to fest on the last Thursday
Of November every year, and on New Year’s Day.

I can’t wait to enjoy its thighs and wings
I can’t wait afterwards to make the swings
Squeak and cry, because we all weigh more
Than before: the skinny, the rich and the poor.
Happy Thanksgiving Day everybody
The President already pardoned a gorgeous turkey.
