Wars and Rumours

Wars and Rumours

“Wars, wars,
And rumours of Wars”,
Exactly what Jesus said.
“In the world today you will have tribulation,”
Exactly what Jesus said.

Close to the beginning
In the very first family
Cain killed Abel his brother
And so it has been ever since.

Despite God’s command
Love your neighbour as yourself,
On our own, God’s creatures
Cannot do that at all.

But through Jesus Christ,
Through his life and his death
Through his rising again
There is hope and there’s power.

We can live life in love
And peace through his Cross.
And no longer be lost
In these wars at such cost.

John, wonderful it would be if the whole human race lived in peace and wars ceased. It isn’t what God intended for us, how He must weep at what He can see…Beryl
