Kyle Langford runs for governor in CA
He thinks Auschwitz would save the day
and solve the problems that I guess he blames Jews for
But Slavic voters may show him the door.

74,000 Polish Christians died at Auschwitz camp
But Let's look closer under the lamp
Nazis targeted any possible Polish elite
If you attended secondary school, you could die at their feet.

Secret killings of intellectuals, and mass graves
If the kids looked Aryan, they were kidnapped by those knaves
And there was "Generalplan Ost", a plan to settle Germans on Slavic lands
The Slavs would be removed, as such a plan demands.

3 million ethnic Poles died due to Hitler's schemes
Is it really smart for Kyle to indulge in Nazi dreams?
There are much better Republicans running, I give them my vote
Bad ideas keep cropping up, let's keep freedom afloat.

Left and right both have members who don't think Jews are great
The left more of a danger now, they'll do in the Jewish state
But let's not get caught up in cartoon history
The endless appeal of Adolf is a human nature mystery.

To Eurydice

her steps rhyme with mine
an echo between yearn and daunt
I ask her to keep pace, her shadows pine
voices behind me, slick and gaunt
—the phantoms want to keep her
the light ahead hazy, yet I demur
we’re so close—or too close
panic surged deliriously, in prose—
my eyes turn to my asphodel...
her lost shadow whispers: ‘farewell.’

Premium MemberCultural Colonization

Cinematic specters, their light bewitching vacant minds,
Under gleaming signs, native voices twist into silence,
Lost in the glare of borrowed tales, our hymns dissipate,
Temples once hallowed now echo with foreign incantations,
Unremitting tides of glossy lore erase ancestral streams,
Riven hearts recall the silence where old songs soared,
Eclipsed by a borrowed sun, identity dwindles into night.

Hotel Americana

Heart ache, a road break off route sixty-six
Over each river and every state line
Tour bus travellers all finding their fix
Everyone hyphened is heightened this time
Lost luggage losing it's share of the light

American dreams with shutters pulled down
Memphis blues music feels alright tonight
Elvis themed runners surprising the town
Rocky road blue grass fades slowly away
In between cities and one horse places
Cocktail umbrellas recall brighter days
Appreciating these world weary faces
Neighbours, travellers, old lovers and friends
Ask for directions to where this tale ends.

Hallow’s Eve, when spirits return
And on Styx’s shores, a darkness churns
Lost souls vanish to the veil
Lamenting cries rise up from Hell
Omen hangs high in Stygian sky
Where witches watch with a wicked eye
Eldritch winds whisper a woeful tale
Echoes of death ride on the gale
Night-creatures creep with dreadful bale

Premium MemberSeptember Falls

Soaked in sapphire tears of forlorn flowers,
emanating hues of cinnamon light.
Perhaps, the healing herbs of harvest hours;
tender tendrils and the soft rose twilight~
evoke splitting truth through veiled, somber beams.
My love, this ink still curates magic's glow~
beneath the blazing stems of dahlia dreams,
engrossed in apricot embers that flow,
rippling with runes of russet memories.

Follow me to Persephone's verdant field,
as the moon twirls within brown reveries,
laced in pomegranate promises sealed,
lost in the grape green orchard of Hades' glance,
still breathing lilacs in a lustrous trance.

Premium MemberSEPTEMBER FALLS

Sun’s rays have weakened lately. Cool winds blow,
Effectively allaying summer heat.
Perhaps fall lovers should be patient, though.
There’ll be more hot days. Summer’s not complete.

Enthusiasm reigns on Labor Day.
Most backyard chefs are firing up the grills.
Because it’s summer’s “last hurrah,” some say,
Each fan of hot days relishes these thrills.

Responses to the end of summer range
From great elation to a sense of pall.
Autumnal coolness, each expected change,
Leaves turning red and gold~~I love it all!

Let every season reap admirers’ praise,
Since each possesses unique winning ways.

An Abecedarian Year-end Poem

After 365 days of
Balancing our daily routines,
Caring for our loved ones,
Daring to dream of relaxing days - yes,
Even after realising it's all
Futile, we still wait to have our
Great days, our very own
Happy mornings - long live our
Imagination; But let's not just
Judge the year gone past, badly;
Keeping ourselves in good health,
Longing to have some "me time",
Maintaining good relationships -
Never have all these been more important
Or sought after, than in these
Post-covid times - rather, an essential
Quiet gap between difficult times of
Rains, virus and wars, among others;
Somewhere between tragedies, we became
Thankful for the silver linings - appreciating
Universal peace and helping each other;
Vacations and holidays recharged us and I
Wish that we get more of those every year.
X-mas now gives way to the start of a new
Year - a year that I hope keeps us all safe,
Zestful and yearning for a peaceful life.

Long Lost Star

It's another morning of waking up
with your shadow in my memory
like a ghost that hunts my thoughts
from dusk till dawn.

I should forget you, but I could not,
for, you're like an unfinished melody
that echoes on the empty stage of my heart,
that left without finishing your song.

I still remember when our days were young,
when you asked me to walk with you
on an uphill trail, but I refused, because,
I could not match your gleaming glow.

You were like a diamond under the sun,
shining so brightly against my somberness,
leaving my heart stunned until these days,
thinking if I was right to drift away from the luster of your charm.

*For Janet, my long lost star*

She rode her bike into Autumnal n ightmares.
One moment she’s looking up at the leaves,

A fter she was captivated, she was c aptured.
She was stored in a c abinet like a piece of broken c hina.
C ampers gathered and searched for her.
A f ingerprint was a c lue-

Trudging exhausted, weary and spent
Revolving in an ennui which will not relent
Each step closer to nowhere, be it fast or slow
As days crawl by friends come and they go
Dawn ushers forth a grand gift of renewel
Moon offers solace, serene bright and cool
Inside this cage I sense the light
Lost is my soul, a Sisyphus plight
Let my spirit take flight in the grace of night

Premium MemberA Loving Spouse-

Always striving

Lost in the eyes of each others windows of their soul
Open communications being often prayer and thoughtful talks
Visiting each ones spirits
Involving the mind-soul- and heart in reverence
Never not speaking words"I Love You as Christ"
Giving most of me to you while still praising and pleasing our God

Speaking often the love I savor for "U"
Praying without ceasing together daily
Omitting temptations a spirit of unending forgiving
United faith, hope and genuine love husband and wife
Saved by the power of our all mighty God
Everyway everyday speaks of longevity of spiritual and physical life
                                             and love
