Ambrosia salad, a nice metaphor for life. Well done. My mom made ambrosia salad, too, and I really liked it. She added the coconut. Moon Harp

Your acrostic is nothing short of magnificent, Sara. This work resembles a colour picture. I for one, love coconut as well. Howard

I have learned that there are a few people who do not like coconut and some that can't eat coconut for some reason like gallbladder problems. There are so many ways to fix a salad or dessert using oranges or tangerines so, I say go for whatever way that makes a person happy. Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment. Sara K

Dear Sara, just like ambrosia the way mom use to make it, simple, bright, and carrying more memory than recipe. I love how each line folds sweetness over the harder parts of life, like coconut softening tart fruit. A small, tender memory that even mid-life needs its orchard-light. Now I’m hungry and miss my mom. :) Blessings, Daniel

Yes, moms were so important for us and even in their passing just the memories can lift our spirits. Your visit always is encouraging. I was concerned that the mix of a real recipe of the ambrosial dessert or salad and how it can be a metaphor for life would be confusing but I see you understood. Sara
