words tiptoe through my mind’s dendrite fields
struggling with an inner battle
do they want to be shared
or merely heard by someone?
adjectives ooze like black blood
under the shut doors of my brain
I feel outnumbered and overpowered
my pen smiles as I reach for him

There it lay, lovely loose ooze on my path.
Black, sticky, stinky mud with aftermath.
I knew the feeling as feet slither in
As I grinned and grimaced with chagrin.
Squelch, squish, slurp, splutter and splat the ooze groans,
As my feet are soiled to pitch black tones.
Such a disgusting feeling with feet stuck
In the vile pile of gloppy, sloppy muck.
Through the mud up to top of thighs I wade,
But, creeping along, slow progress is made,
I sink lower down to my waist and stall.
Appalled, I squirm on my belly and crawl.
As I dragged myself up, the ooze clung on.
Any hope of staying clean was long gone.

There are no guarantees life will be smooth
Where only great happiness through life does ooze
A bit of some slush
Enters as you flush
We usually put up with the occasional bad news

Books ooze their goodness
Delighting me the way no TV show could
Enticing me, enrapturing me, loving me
Changing me into a pirate or a murder victim
Mysteries and biographies are my favorite,
Scientology intrigues me and fascinates me.
I do not mean THE scientology.
I mean geology, zoology, biology, and astrology.
I adore poems, short stories, plays, and songs.
Written word power takes up much of my day.
I fall asleep in my chair, lulled into dreamland
In the middle of books which drop on the floor.
Deeply aware that words will live on
Long after we are forgotten, I sit by the window
Expecting something fabulous to pique my interest.
I have never been disappointed.

E-xude or ooze from the heart,
H-inder not the trust;
D-ay five of September,
Z-ealously bite not the dust.
F-aith begins to ooze,
R-unning through your vein;
A-llow it to work wonders,
N-ever mind the pain.
C-loudy sky has faded

S-teadiness shows your strength,
C-onfidence starts to
O-oze.

Silver and glitz,
Satin and gold,
Place oozes with joy,
A pearl-laden crowd.
Four men standing.
Grinning like half-eaten moon pies
One holy man, somber and straight.
A fancy woman walks in escorted by her son.
Three chorus girls make their descent, in matching dresses.
A little pink-laden girl with fancy petticoats prances past,
Dragging an uneager pouty boy along.
The crowd murmurs, softly.
The long anticipated song begins.
Everyone stands.
Turns.
Hoping to have a glimpse of the veil-clad princess
Who is hanging on to the suit of her father.
Not me.
I always turn and look at the groom.
That’s the real show.
Are his cheeks alcoholic red?
Does he look like he’s ready to hurl?
Or is he bright-eyed, and bushy-tailed?
Does pride ooze from his eyes as he watches his bride?
This tells me so much about what kind of
Life she will have after the
Big day.

Time walks away
Curbs time to play
Curious cheer laughs
More than enough
Mad crazy strides
A last joyride
Ooze of strong booze
Grooms sleepy snooze
Dreams of lost lust
From dust to dust
Urge of deep soul
A falling told
Stupor now dumps
A groggy lump

Ooze, a squirt with perfect onomatopoeia
A slow leak, exudation or seepage
A slow plunge into thick mud sucked
An outflow all over, a disseminated discharge
That cannot be held back or stopped
A slow steady ooze seeps spews woos
