Premium Member Tie-Dye In July

Dampen a white T-Shirt till wet.
Twist into a pinwheel, then get
The shape to stay round
And pat until sound.
Bind the edge with tape till it's set.

Split the circle space into three-
Red, white, and blue for all to see!
Dye one-third dark blue;
Bright red, one-third too.
The rest stays pure white to agree.

Unfolding it shows the design!
You're ready to celebrate, fine!
July Fourth is live!
Receive a high-five
As your shirt and honor combine!

Premium Member Without Natural Affection

I cried, hearing evening news,
“Young toddler dies alone.”
Mom went on her planned vacation,
leaving … young child at home.

“Ohio mom, leaves 16-month-
old daughter on her own.”
In ten days lost one third her weight,
found corpse of skin … and bone.

At home without babysitter,
with no one there to care.
This a most ungodly crime, one
hope and pray … will stay rare.

Un-motherly abuse so shocking,
child robbed of life, her breath.
From her thrill-seeking sick mother,
whose sentence … was not death.

Judge holding back tears as sentenced,
Mom to life, the child killed.
Child's screams heard on neighbor's doorbell
cam’ra … till it went still.

No justification cause, stopped,
taking her prescribed meds.”
“Candelario’s” head-reeling headlines,
can’t erase … from our heads.

Mental health, anxiety, and
 depression no excuse.
No justification for moms,
act of … deadly abuse.

Premium Member I buy Vegetables

I buy vegetables
lettuce, celery, parsley, radishes,
planning to eat them, to get healthier
so that my colon will smile

I plan to drink twelve glasses of water a day
in actuality, I do not drink more than one third of a cup of H20

I reach for chocolate milk, caramel latte, peanut butter cookies
Frisky frosted brownies will not eat themselves.
There is nothing sadder than a moldy frosted brownie.
These two Milky Way bars are yelling my name.

I have to throw the vegetables out after they start stinking.
My body gives me no credit for good intentions.

London and Mouses

Victoria couch station does not go
To sleep.

It's not even a one third of an aesthetic
But poets make frogs into princes so
...

I see the becoming in change. The
Comfort of being taken to a
Known destination not needing
To know the way.
It happens only in travels like that.

I see the becoming in repetition. A
Man sweeping the floor yet another time.
He is watching people like mouses.
Running
About their business not knowing
Why.

A constant of life in a place as busy as an
Ant house.

This place does not go to sleep. Lights colour it's windows
To scare away the ghosts of rest.
Stillness is a demon unable to possess.

A mouse, after mouse, after mouse. But what happens when
A mouse snaps out
Of this ?

Horatio Nelson 1758-1805

Years ago I did so choose, to go on a Caribbean clipper ship cruise,
and, in addition to several other islands,
anchored off Nevis, northwest of Saint Kitts,
where, in the late 1780's, Nelson had lived,
and still bears traces of his presence today,
in various parts, pieces and bits.
When our windjammer Skipper informed us,
'Shopping here's good, snorkeling is bad,'
I avoided the former, sought out the latter,
and, as a matter of fact, a good time was had,
for no sooner had I ducked under,
two feet from the waterline,
in about one foot deep (shallow) water,
tho' visibility was, in inches, no more than nine,
I espied a white clay churchwarden pipe,
which I retrieved, broken, not whole,
with one third of the stem, and most of the tobacco-burned bowl.
1787, Nelson married the widow Fanny Nisbet on Nevis,
and, as the island he was about to depart,
'Desist smoking or else!'
Horatio may have heard her insist or impart,
and that which I found, I've a mind to say,
was his very last pipe, he'd reluctantly tossed overboard,
on that sunny day, when, as Captain of Boreas, he sailed away.

Live A Simple Life

Life is simple to live
It's your lifestyle that complicate
You can live in simple house
Buy things that's local
Eat simple nutritious food
Wear simple dress that suit your taste
Use bike for short distance
Ride a public vehicle for economy
Save one third of your salary
For emergency life's purposes
Save energy for next day consumption
Think positively and don't overthink
Do things one at a time
Live a prayerful life.

Premium Member DAILY GRATITUDE DEI

Today I’m grateful for Diversity, equity and inclusion…
and how in the whole pie of life each plays an important one-third..

Diversity is having a seat at the table
Equity is having a voice…
Inclusion is having that voice be heard.

CABAL

With factories and private jets, the elite
produces 100, 000 times more carbon
than you or I. (It has gone up to .04 from .03 ppm.
Yet, we are the ones lectured in scare, tactic.

Tell me something. Do you see the Davosites
eating bugs and car-pooling?

Do you see them eating filet mignon and travelling
in a style harmful to the Planet?

Extravagance is not conservation.
It is the opposite.
They are enslaving you with pretty notions
and hypocrisy.
"Israel will be compassed about with armies"
...Iran, Turkey, Sudan, Russia, Lebanon, Syria...

Psalms 83, Ezekial 38.

"Wonder what is on tv tonight?"
(and you haven't even flipped through the Bible
to see if it was prophesied)C

(I know it's not as riveting as a cookoff or American Idols.)

One third of the population will perish from their coming war and deeds. That is 2.6 BILLION WITH A "B"

Premium Member BODY AILS YET SPIRIT STILL SOARS

BODY AILS … YET SPIRIT SOARS

You’d think I’d rattle when I walk,
I’ve pills of this and that.
Some make me feel even sicker,
others warned … make me fat.

Take “Viagra” for rare PH,
Lung-Heart rare illness pill.
Several for other organs, fact
one-third kidney’s … no thrill.

If, drink more water for kidney,
Heart Failure might affect.
Most minds tell folks, “breath”, with “Central
Apnea “ … mine forgets.

When stand, high-blood pressure drops low,
ninety-five / fifty five.
Body ails, yet spirit still soars,
grateful … I’m still alive!

Fact take twenty pills is is not bad,
gotta take to stay well.
But wonder, if Doc’s took these, they'd
feel better … or like -ell?

Won’t fuss about number of pills,
for this, and this, and that.
Thankful have all these, or I might,
just fall down dead … splat!

Parkinson's Disease

It's called Parkinson's Disease it is real,
    they say I have it,
of lying they are not in the habit,

one third of three is my chances of survival,
    I will fight this thing,
no matter what the future may bring.

In three years, the end maybe drawing near.
after that there is less fear,
my end it may not seal.

The tremor I have I was frightened by its arrival,
    I will continue to fight,
        I think that is right.

I will not go gently into the night,
it may not be a pretty sight,
but I will resist with all my might.

Premium Member You Can Get By With Murder

I scoff when I hear people say “You can’t get by with murder.”
You can. Serial murderers prove that on a daily basis.
Sometimes DNA evidence found thirty years later exonerates a prisoner.
A victim who was incarcerated for a murder he or she did not commit.
Last year forty percent of the murders in the USA were unsolved.
From 1965 to 2021 in the USA there were 340, 000 unsolved murders.
If you move to Canada, you are one third as likely to get murdered.
Is that the good news? It is all we have at the present time.

Premium Member Cursive

I want to say something about cursive writing (this might seem random).

I’ve seen articles saying that cursive writing is a “dead art,” that computers have destined it for oblivion and questioning whether cursive writing should be taught in schools now-a-days.

But if you plan to go to college - relearn it and practice it, because you’ll need it.

Random hot fact. The first time you have to handwrite a multiple-question essay test - where each answer requires five hundred to a thousand words (a written page) - handwriting, in block letters, is unsustainable.

Your hand will literally cramp up - dog, you’ll suffer, your essays will suffer and so will your grade.

Writing in cursive is faster than block lettering and with a little practice, it’s effortless.

My sister told me this once, and this morning, as I watched other students, one third of the way into our essay test, grimacing and flexing their aching hands - I just smiled to myself.

Yeah, you can thank me later.

Premium Member Journey's End

Journey's End

   Life expectancy,
but a breath of existence
from eternity.
           ***

   Life expectancy,
but a thousand-mile journey
to eternity.
            ***

Note:
A 'li' is known as a Chinese mile and is approximately one third of an English mile or 500 kilometers. A thousand li, metaphorically, refers to a long journey.

Premium Member Three Candles

Happy Birthday to my friend!
One third of the three,
in life’s twisted blend.
Unlikely in all ways,
but twined together till the end.

What An Election Blow

Albo only got one third of the vote bro
but he was bound to win as Scummo had to go
what a stupid election system tho
it all depends on how the preferences flow
Pauline Hanson got buried in lots of snow
although she and palmer spent a lot of dough
i voted for a unknown, a real john doe
who will never grow with anything to show
might go trim my moe, and clean my elbow
move it slow and go see my old mate Joe
blow a joint and try to make things glow
it's all been status quo, now what do I owe.
