Journey's End

   Life expectancy,
but a breath of existence
from eternity.

   Life expectancy,
but a thousand-mile journey
to eternity.
            ***

Note:
   A 'li' is known as a Chinese mile and is approximately one third of an English mile or 500 kilometers. A thousand li, metaphorically, refers to a long journey.
