Shattered dreams—isn’t it strange
That they cannot leave me once and for all
And continue to live within me as a separate entity
As if awaiting their fulfilment.
Their presence is particularly noticeable in the mornings
When I wriggle out from under the duvet
Sit on the edge of the bed
To get up the very next second
But I suddenly sit there in a daze for a while
Inside me, the film is ending
And the credits are already rolling too fast,
So I can’t make out a single word
Who starred in it and who supported
Even though I’ve only just watched this episode.
I still remember how I was rowing a boat
To some unknown destination, but then,
A few minutes ago,
I knew the place and the time exactly
When I was due to arrive somewhere
Where my love was waiting for me with joy
And I was filled with a joyful anticipation
But then everything seemed to fade
As if wrapped in a transparent bag in the rain
Only raindrops were visible on the blurred screen
Sometimes a simple question
needs a simple answer,
other times, a lecture.
I adhere to the principle of truthfulness, irrespective of the consequences. He asked if I had any affection for him, which reminded me of a mathematical question posed by my second-grade teacher. Maintaining a composed manner, I replied in the negative. His response exhibited a noticeable change in demeanor. I firmly believe that honesty holds significant value, regardless of potential outcomes. The inquiry, "Do you love me?" has been addressed to me on numerous occasions, more than I am inclined to mention; I interpret it as a politically charged statement. Sometimes a simple question
Needs a simple answer
Other times, a lecture.
And as for me, I hate having long, drawn-out lectures
Today I am celebrating my 69th Sunday, 2026
It is well with my soul.

It’s the respect you give
It’s also the encouragement and how you think positive
You make me laugh and we have fun
I am blessed for your friendship among
We inspire one another
We know how to be ourselves like no other
We get along quite well
It’s noticeable and people can tell
There are two sayings, “No Man is an Island and Man can’t live on bread alone”
Our friendship let this be shown
Friendship is something where one must adapt
It’s not something that comes from an app
Yet you won’t find on any map
There will be times of in difference
But that is what makes friendship unique
Friendship is something everyone should keep
But at the same token there should not be lies of deceit
Friendship is about truth
It might start within your youth
Yet trust is a must
I value you friend
It extends until the very end
Yes this is how our friendship began
Interest at heart
Togetherness making a mark
Our friendship has blossomed like the season spring
But the thought being one thing, “Our friendship began from day one
I am glad we are still among
This is why I call you friend
When I need you it’s words of can.
The vociferous George
So, here we are, it is ten in the evening
And I have my glass, nay, glasses of red wine
I'm thinking of George Galloway, who
I must say he has mellowed since he left Britain
His voice is less strident; this evidently
caused by his love for his wife and living
Abroad is culturally good for him
But do I detect a slight drift to the right
barely noticeable, but I have noticed
Could it be because he is influenced by X
that some of X, readers have made him
a moderate? No, I refuse to think ill of him.
my middle daughter was born with a prominent birthmark
in the middle of her forehead, it was noticeable and red
I was horrified by it; because it shouted from her face
Sue, one of the nurses saw it and made this observation
“They say when you are born with a birthmark on your forehead
it was from the kiss of an angel telling you goodbye from heaven”
his OCD merry-go-round
is noticeable all around
repeated behaviors over and over
tearing up dandelions and clover
polishing table twenty-three times
recounting once again his tin of dimes
repeated efforts are automatic
familiar patterns, nothing unexpected or sporadic

*NOTE: A dowager’s hump, also known as a widow's hump, is a condition characterized by an excessive forward curvature of the upper spine, often resulting in a noticeable hump at the base of the neck. It is commonly associated with osteoporosis and/or poor posture, particularly in older adults. (source: spineinstituteoftexas.com)
I can feel my pulse in my fingertips,
like my hands are trying to escape.
Do I lean in? Do I lean back?
Please don’t let me stumble over my own feet.
My heart is doing that ridiculous thumping thing.
Why does it feel like the world is waiting?
Should I say something? Something clever?
No, just stay quiet, it’s fine.
Just breathe…oops, too noticeable.
Why is everything suddenly so tricky?
Your eyes are so close, almost too near.
Okay, maybe not, maybe it’s the perfect distance.
What if my lips are awkward? What if I taste strange?
I’m panicking, yes, in every corner of me.
I tell myself stop, act normal… but my pulse gives me away.
“Hey… is everything okay? You seem nervous.”
I nod too fast, my thoughts scattering everywhere.
I want to laugh, I want to crawl under a rock.
I feel like I might float or fall all at once.
My eyes dart everywhere, but you’re right here, holding my hand.
And then it happens, gentle, hesitant, soft.
Our lips meet, and my stomach flutters.
It’s awkward, it’s funny, it’s perfect in its messiness.
I think, maybe this is how first kisses are meant to feel.
And I secretly hope it never ends.

An old clock ticks in the background
Never quite sure of what time it is
Yet steadfastly sure it is right at least twice a day
It will not tell you your blood pressure
Nor will it count your footsteps
Or find you the nearest Starbucks
Its gears will eventually wear down
Softly lose their edginess
Its ticks become a fading whisper
It will slowly become more silent
Its presence less noticeable
Unless it is a friggin’ Cuckoo clock
Twenty years ago this month I was in Enid A. Haupt Garden, a manicured
garden surrounded by two rows of saucer magnolia trees. The magnolious
large, cup shaped flowers showcasing breathtaking display of white or
pinkish-purple petals with outer petals of darker shade of pink or purple.
The petals, thick, soft and velvety scattered on the ground and benches.
I was swept away by the pleasant fragrance and captivated by the scent, a
combination of sweet, floral and slightly citrusy. A fragrance so noticeable
for the scent wafted through the garden, creating a pleasing aroma, like a
sweet lemony candy. Unforgettable! When will I see and smell them again?
Screaming
Screaming in the inside
No one hears the cries
That come from the dark parts of my soul.
That was Hidden for so long
Pain ive endured became like shackles
Feeling like I'd never be strong enuf to break free....
Fear became so overwhelming that it built a cage to keep pieces of me locked up
The cries get louder and louder until what has been locked up is freed
The time has come
For the small bit of light left noticeable to become the beacon.
To guide what belongs to the world
Back To faith, to hope , to love of God.
For there is where true happiness lies
